Chapter 123 - Two Naughty Boys
For the first time in a very long time, he'd opened his mouth without engaging his brain first though he instantly regretted it. Staring at the closed door of Franky's office, Urs ran his hands through his hair and let out a long sigh, knowing that he shouldn't have had a go at her for making a fuss about what Kurt and his friend, Adrian had done to one of her Harley-Davidson models. And he definitely should have looked up to the shelf before saying that she should have put the whole collection up there in the first place. He couldn't blame her for shouting at him as she shoved him out of the room, asking to be left alone as she slammed the door.
'Thank you very much for your support, Urs. Kurt knows he's not allowed in here unless either you or me is with him. At least he should by now. And he knows better than to touch my things. You seem to have forgotten how you reacted when you found him with your 'Ice' guitar and he didn't do half as much damage."
He sighed again remembering his reaction to finding Kurt with the guitar a couple of weeks ago. He'd walked into the music/dance room to find him with it in his lap, an angry scowl on his face as he strummed the strings and throwing it to the floor when it didn't play loud like it did for Urs. Urs had shouted at him, picked the guitar up and ordered him out of the room after giving it a good inspection and seeing that four square slivers of mother of pearl had been chipped off. Luckily he'd been able to find them and it hadn't cost much to repair, but Kurt was still paying the debt off. Now here Urs stood after saying that Franky had over reacted after finding Kurt and Adrian arguing over one of her limited edition models, causing much more damage.
Huffing out a breath, Urs turned on his heel and made for the lounge where he found Kurt and Adrian sitting on the couch, Adrian slipping his mobile back into his pocket.
"Daddy's not happy that I've been naughty. He's coming to fetch me." Adrian informed, his eyes wide and swallowing hard.
"Oh." Urs nodded, his features stern as he looked at Kurt. "Doesn't look like you'll be getting your allowance back next week, does it?"
"No Papi. Sorry Papi." Kurt shook his head, sniffing back tears.
"You know the rules Kurt, at least you should by now you've been told often enough. You know you're not allowed in Mami's office unless one of us is with you and certainly know not to touch that collection. Don't you?"
"Yes Papi."
"How the hell did you manage to reach it anyway?"
"I climbed on Mami's filing cabinet, using her chair."
"Why is Mrs Buhler making such a fuss anyway?" Adrian questioned, huffing as he finished the sound barely audible above the noise of the gate buzzer going off.
"I'll tell you that once your father's inside." Urs replied, moving towards the system and pressing the button once he'd checked that it was Gideon Newman who'd requested access.
He opened the front door and remained there, watching the neighbour walk quickly up the driveway, his head shaking and breathing deep. The two men shook hands once he'd reached the door and Urs briefly explained the situation before returning to the lounge room with Adrian's father.
"What did I tell you this morning?" Gideon snapped at Adrian, making him startle.
"That I had to behave."
"Exactly Adrian, and yet you've ignored me once again. What's he broken anyway?"
"Franky's Harley-Davidson Billy Bike Panhead from the film 'Easy Rider'." Urs informed with a head shake.
"Oh geeze Adrian!"
"Why all the fuss? It's just a silly model of an old motorbike. She can get another one."
"No she can't!" Gideon yelled, then squatted in front of his son. "It is a limited edition precision-engineered one-tenth scale replica. The only model authorized by Harley-Davidson based directly on the replica of the original. But more important than that Adrian, it was the last gift Mrs Buhler's mother gave her before she died. How would you feel if she broke that Hornby Royal Highlander train set that grandad left you?"
"I'd be really cross, like I was when Janey touch..........Oh!"
"Finally the penny drops. How many times have you been told not to go into Franky's office?"
"Erm......Every time I've come over." Adrian shrugged, chewing on his bottom lip.
"Precisely. It will be your own fault if Franky doesn't allow you to come and play with Kurt again, won't it?"
"Yes Daddy. Sorry Daddy."
"Hmmn. I accept your apology, Adrian, but you owe Franky one too."
"I know." Adrian gulped and fidgeted in his seat while Gideon stood and turned his attention to Urs.
"What damage have they done? Is it repairable?"
"I don't know if it's repairable." Urs shook his head. "Between them they've managed to pull the spark plug wire completely out. The handlebars are bent out of shape and the kickstand is snapped off. I'm pretty sure they've managed to rip the brake and gear pedals off as well and the paintwork is badly scratched."
"Okay. Obviously it's not replacable. How do you want to handle this?"
"Well since we don't know who did what damage, I think Franky would agree with me that they pay half of the repair cost........provided it's repairable of course." Urs replied, watching both Kurt and Adrian's eyes fly wide for a second or two.
"Yeah, that's fair." Gideon nodded, his head turning to the right when he heard the office door opening, watching Franky emerge.
"What's fair?" She asked calmly, her eyes slightly puffy from the tears she'd shed.
"That the boys pay half of the repair costs." Urs informed after sighing. "Is it repairable?"
"Yes, though not by me. I found a specialist who can do it. It's going to cost almost as much as mum paid for it though. Around £100 because he has to order the paint from the States and it has to be stripped down before being repainted."
Urs nodded then watched Gideon remove his wallet from the back pocket of his jeans and look at Adrian while he counted five ten pound notes and handed them to a reluctant looking Franky. The boy gulped then nodded when his father gave him another stern look, Urs somehow knowing without having to be tol that he would be punished the same way as Kurt.
"I'm really sorry Franky. I don't know what's gotten into him just lately." Gideon shook his head. "You know he's got plenty of toys at home, but he just seems to want more and more since my father died. Hopefully this experience will teach him a lesson."
"Don't worry about it, Gideon. I know how close they were, it's only been a month. Is the grief counselling helping?"
"Yeah, it is. He's spending a lot more time with us now rather than staying in he room, playing on his X-Box and he's improved his relationship with Janey as well, they don't argue half as much. The memory box has really helped, in fact it's got so much in it he can't get the lid closed. I was going to get him a new one, but he won't let that old thing of dad's go."
"Good." Franky smiled then turned to squat in front of the nervous looking boys. "Now, listen to me carefully boys." She began, looking from one to the other. "I've told you many times that I don't want to lock the door to my office and this is the fourth time I've found you in there. You're both old enough to understand and there are plenty of toys in the playroom for your age, aren't there? Both of you have more to play with than some children ever will, you both know that too, don't you?"
"Yes Mami. Sorry Mami." Kurt nodded, his eyes glistening with unshed tears.
"Yes Mrs Buhler. I'm sorry I made Kurt take me into your office." Adrian snuffled, wiping his nose on the sleeve of his hoody. "I promise I won't do it ever again if........if I'm still allowed to come and play with Kurt."
"Of course you are. You're not that much trouble, Adrian." Franky replied, smiling and shaking her head as she tugged Kurt's favourite playmate into a hug. "And neither are you." She continued, doing the same to Kurt who finally allowed his tears to fall as he apologised again.
Gideon and Adrian left once the boy had apologised for getting his best friend into trouble and Urs returned to the lounge to find Franky drying Kurt's eyes once he'd let them out.
"I'm sorry for over reacting." She smiled once he was standing in front of her.
"Nein, I'm sorry for opening my mouth before engaging brain. I should've known you had put your collection on the shelf as soon as I'd finished puttting it up for you." Urs replied, his arms around her waist. "I don't even know why they left the playroom while I went to the bathroom, they both seemed so absorbed in what they were doing. I thought they would be fine for a couple of minutes."
"They usually are." Franky laughed. "But I did warn you how sneeky they can be didn't I? They've done exactly the same to me and Saskia several times over the past few days. Luckily we caught them before they could get into trouble."
"I know. You're right, we do need eyes in the back of our heads when dealing with those two. Thank Gott Kurt is almost over his cold and will be able to play outside. He doesn't get into half as much mischief outside, does he?"
"No. No he doesn't. Anyway, I'm going to go into the city to drop the model off."
"Okay." Urs nodded then gave her a kiss before releasing his hold, hearing Kurt groan as they seperated.
Once Franky had left, he engaged Kurt in playing 'Connect 4' for an hour or so. Both of them having a wonderful time until Saskia returned with his siblings and explaining that they'd all loved their trip to the city farm, all of them being very helpful when it came to feeding time, the entire event recorded as always.
Franky returned a few moments later and Urs was surprised to see Gideon and Adrian following her into the house, the boy struggling with the brown paper wrapped package he held under his arm. Determined to keep hold of it, despite the fact it was obviously heavy, while his father spoke to Franky.
"I know we've come to an agreement regarding Adrian's punishment for what he did this morning. But while we were picking Jean and Janey up he spotted that......." Gideon paused, indicating what his son held. "He wanted to get it for you and insisted on paying for it himself."
Urs watched as Adrian stepped forward and gave her the package. She set it down on the kitchen counter and quickly unwrapped it, revealing a limited edition framed Harley-Davidson print on a piece of marble, detailing bikes from 1903 up to modern day. She shook her head to begin with and Urs knew that she was thinking it was too much until she turned to look at Adrian. The head shake quickly becoming a nod once her jade green eyes and locked with Adrian's steel grey pleading ones.
Once Gideon and Adrian had left again, Franky headed to her office, placed the print on top of her filing cabinet with a smile and put the certificate that informed it was the tenth of one hundred in her safe.
"Don't you have something you should be getting on with?" She asked, nodding towards the stack of paperwork awaiting her attention. "Or have you finally finished your list?"
"Erm..........Nein, I haven't. Had my mind on other things." Urs replied, knowing that he'd only written five song titles down so far and Il Divo had their usual meeting with Simon in two days.
"More like a certain part of your anatomy." Franky replied, opening her laptop and giving him a flirty grin.
"You'll pay for that later." Urs shook his head, grabbing hold of the door handle and beginning to pull it closed.
"I know I will. Why do you think I said it?" He heard Franky giggle, making him growl then cough just before the latch clicked shut.

As the old saying goes Boys will be Boys !! But some pretty extensive damage done to Franky's collection and Kurt should know better then to let Adrian talk him into doing something so stupid..

I think the punishment fit perfectly..

Chapter 124 - A Lady of Letters
Feeling slightly confused, Urs held Franky's hand as they stepped into the lift at the Syco building and used his free one to press the button that would take them up to the floor where Simon's office was located. He still couldn't figure out why the man who'd put Il Divo together had called and asked each of them to bring their wives to the meeting. Even Franky hadn't been able to work that one, but then again, given the events of the previous day Urs wasn't that surprised, he'd never seen her that nervous. He chuckled briefly, recalling how stunned she'd looked to receive the news. Despite the number of times he'd surprised her during their relationship, he'd never known her to be rendered speechless as she'd been when that envelope had arrived in the mail.
At first she'd thought it was a practical joke but a quick phone call had sent that idea flying out the window, she truly was to be honoured for her services in having 'Devil's Drop' and its surrounding area declared an area of outstanding natural beauty. Once the children had heard the news they'd all wanted to go to watch Mami accept the award and an argument had ensued once they'd been told that only two guest were allowed into the ceremony itself. Frank had stated that he should be one since he was the eldest, Kurt and Serena had argued their case, uniting for once, Serena scowling at Frank while she told him that being the eldest didn't entitle him to go. Just like her mother, Ciara had said she would like to go but seemed perfectly happy to stand down in favour of one of her older siblings. Jordi had simply looked confused by all the arguing and hadn't been that impressed once his question had been answered. Sylvie hadn't said a word. She'd just sat at the kitchen table, chuckling at the arguing youngsters, only her eyes revealing how much she would love to see the ceremony.
Of course Urs had tried to bring them all to order, firmly ordering them to be quiet without much luck since only Jordi had stopped talking and continued with his evening meal. Franky had had to silence the remainder by using the long, loud whistle that indicated she wanted silence. Once the arguing foursome had silenced, she'd looked at each of them sternly and asked if they didn't think their father should be going with her. They'd all looked at each other, chewed on their bottom lips for a few seconds then apologised. With one guest settled on, Franky had taken control again and said it was up to her who the other one would be, no amount of arguing, bickering, foot stomping or sulking would get her to change her mind. She'd been fair in making that decision too, getting Urs to write the children's names down on pieces of paper and picking Sylvie's from the bowl he'd put them in once he'd done so. There had been a few sulks and pouts, but by the end of the meal everyone agreed that a fair decision had been made and he'd Sylvie apologising to Ciara and Jordi as they helped her stack the dishwasher. By the time the two youngest were in bed they seemed to have forgotten about all the excitement, happy with the fact they would be going to 'Ramone's', London to celebrate.
They day itself had passed without a hitch, Franky looking stunning in the pearl grey Armani suit she'd purchased months before but hadn't worn since trying it on. Sylvie had emerged from her room, looking every inch the young woman she was in a black belted jumpsuit by Laura Ashley, two inch heeled shoes on her feet. With himself wearing a black suit, white shirt and black tie, the threesome had left the house in the new midnight blue Mercedes E550 Urs had treated himself to just before Christmas. Throughout the entire drive to London, Franky had sat in her seat, shaking worse than he'd ever seen, muttering something about mam and jam to herself and swallowing hard several times. They'd arrived at the world famous palace in plenty of time but hadn't been the first to do so, there had been at least ten other cars parked up by the time they'd done so. Franky had held his hand tight as they were escorted to the room where the ceremony would take place and hadn't really stopped once it began.
They'd watched and listened as the first honours were given out and had seen a few red faces as the recipients made their way back to their seats. It seemed to take forever for Franky's name to be called and Urs gave her hand an encouraging squeeze before she gracefully headed down the aisle towards Great Britain's monarch. Even the woman who sat on his left couldn't knock the beaming smile Urs had on his face when she asked him what Franky had done that was so special that she deserved to be honoured in such a way and he certainly didn't give a damn that she thought him very rude for not answering her snarky query. He knew how hard Franky had worked on the reason for her receiving the gong, thought she deserved it and it didn't matter what anyone else thought. Other than to notice that the Queen spoke to Franky for longer than she had other appointees, Urs really didn't notice much other than to see a huge smile on Franky's face as she made her way back to him, a scroll in her hand and the medal pinned to the left lapel of her jacket.
Only once the official photographer and Sylvie had finished taking pictures had Urs asked Franky what her Majesty had had to say to her and the smile had dropped her face slightly while she told him and that she'd been slightly disappointed to hear that Badgers had not returned to 'Brock's Cove' as yet, though she did smile when Franky said that the area was being closely monitored for signs of their return. The Queen asking to be informed if and when they did since there might be something she could do to protect the area.
Though Urs hadn't wanted her to, Franky had removed the medal and returned it to its box for dinner at 'Ramone's' but at least she'd shown it to the children before ordering their meal. Each of them taking a long time to admire it before passing it to a sibling. Saskia smiling broadly as she handed the box to Franky, informing that the children had had a wonderful day at Madame Tussaud's, especially so in Mr Cowell's special room, only Jordi embarrassing her by asking if all the 'bits' were there underneath the clothes. That statement causing much giggling around the table that only one couple seated nearby seemed to disapprove of, the man casting Urs a disapproving scowl when he looked at him.
Hearing the lift announce its arrival, Urs looked at Franky, gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and led her to the office where Il Divo met with Simon to discuss songs for the next album. He pushed the door open, surprised to see that Carlos, Barbara-Jean and Simon were already there.
"Told you I'd get him here earlier than you didn't I?" Barbara-Jean questioned with a teasing smile and a nod towards a yawning Carlos.
"Ja. How did you manage that?"
"Just set his alarm clock an hour forward once he was asleep. He didn't realise until we were halfway here."
"Si, she did and no I didn't." Nodded the yawning but happy Spaniard. "Don't you be getting any ideas for the next tour."
"Spoilsport." Urs laughed and shook his in reply then turned his attention to the stoic looking man at the head of the table. "Something wrong Simon?"
"I'd just like to know what was so hellfire important that you felt you had to cancel yesterday's meeting and re-arrange for today. You know how busy I am Urs."
"Erm....." Urs began, taking his usual seat on Simon's left, looking at Franky as she settled herself beside him and listening to the door open again.
"Will you shut up and stop moaning? It's not my fault the palace was closed yesterday. I told you to check weeks ago. The children had a good time at Windsor Castle." Emma huffed at Sebastien and sitting next to him once he'd seated himself next to Franky.
"Come on Frenchie. Enough with the sulking already. I've learned to check such details before deciding where to go for day trip, why can't you?" David grinned from his seat opposite the pouting Frenchman.
"I meant to, my mind was just somewhere el........"
"Sebastien!" Emma yelled, giving him a quick dig in the ribs, her face blushing bright red.
"You all right Lauren?" Franky questioned, everyone turning their heads to see that David's wife appeared to be scowling at Franky.
"Where were you, Urs and Sylvie yesterday? Me and David saw Saskia coming out of Madame Tussuad's as we were going in, but you three were nowhere in sight. It's not like you to do such a thing. You make such a fuss about doing things as a family."
"First of all Lauren, you are not my keeper and normally I would not have done such a thing. Second, I will tell you all about my day yesterday after this meeting."
"Tell me now!" Lauren demanded, thumping her fist on the table.
"Lauren!" David grumbled. "Leave it will ya? It's none of your business what Franky and Urs do."
"I said I will tell you after this meeting Lauren and I will." Franky hissed back, shaking her head at her grumbling friend. "Now, why did you ask us to be here Simon? It's most unusual."
"Back up." Simon replied, shaking his head as Il Divo and their wives fell into a fit of hysterical laughter that Urs seemed to recover from first.
"Back up? The great Simon Cowell needing back up? Never thought I would live to see the day." Urs informed with wide eyes and headshake that caused more giggling.
"Me neither. Seems he's finally found his funny bone." David teased with raised eyebrows.
"Didn't think he had one." Sebastien chuckled.
"It's rare he feels it."
"Ahem! When you boys have quite finished." Simon shook his head just as Carlos opened his mouth to say something else. "I've been re-thinking that idea Franky came up with a couple of years ago for the next album. You know.....a little solo stuff?"
"That wasn't exactly my idea Simon." Franky shook her head. "And you did say never when Urs told you what I'd heard several fans saying they would love to hear."
"That's true. You did. Wouldn't even consider it." Carlos nodded sharply. "Even though we wanted to do it."
"Yes well, as the saying goes 'never say never'. I am not always right. Back then I didn't think it would have been a good idea, but now.......perhaps the time is right. I've heard such whisperings recently too."
"Okay. Worth a whirl I guess. Certainly not something that's been done before.....not that I can recall anyway." David nodded in agreement after a few moments thought. "The solo stuff in addition to the album I'm guessing?"
"Yep! Buy the album and get your favourite Divo's solo work with it, one, two or all four rather than a performanc DVD."
"I don't see any harm in trying!" Sebastien stated, nodding slowly and smiling at the idea.
"Me neither." Carlos confirmed, his head also nodding slowly. "Perhaps we could even be working that idea into the tour."
"Ja, perhaps we could. I say we go for it."
"Well that went easier than I thought it would. Neither of you are worried about the amount of work involved?"
"Nein, Simon. We've been wanting to do it for years. You're the one who stopped us. Let's just see how it goes."
"Okay, fine." Simon nodded. "We discuss the album first though?"
"I think that's our cue to leave girls." Franky informed, smiling as she rose from her seat and watching Emma, Barbara-Jean and Lauren do the same before she turned to Urs. "Pick me up at Monmouth's, Covent Garden when you've finished?"
"Sure." Urs replied, placed a quick kiss on her cheek and watched her leave with a smile on his face.
"So why did you cancel yesterday?" Simon asked again.
"Franky and I had to go to Buckingham Palace."
"You couldn't have spent the day there. It was closed for the New Year's Honours Ceremony." Sebastien replied, watching Urs remove a sheet of paper from his jacket pocket.
"I know that. That's what we were there for."
"You've been given some award without us?" David queried, his eyes wide.
"Not me, nein."
"As a guest of someone then?" Simon questioned, running a line through the first song on Urs's list and shaking his head.
"Ja."
"Who?" Carlos questioned, grumbling in Spanish as one of his songs was crossed off his list and muttering that he would sing it at some point, probably on his solo work.
"Guys! Honestly! Me, Sylvie, Franky. It's not just the famous who receive such awards. Who the hell do you think I would be there for?"
"You mean Franky got an award?"
"Ja, Seb. Not for her charity work either. For all the work she put into keeping 'Devil's Drop' safe from developers."
"Wow! What did she get?"
"An OBE, David."
"So she'll be adding those initials to the end of her name?"
"No Simon. She's proud of the honour, but as she sees it she's plain old Franky Buhler and that's how she intends to stay."
"Plain old Franky Buhler indeed." Simon laughed, his head shaking as he took hold of David's list and promptly ran his pen through three song titles, making the American growl some choice cursewords. "There is nothing plain or old about that wife of yours Urs. Nor the rest of the ladies for that matter."
"Don't you think we know that Simon?" Urs laughed then settled down to going through the songs that would eventually go on to 'Unita e Oltre'.
An hour and a half later he left the Syco building to pick up Franky, not that surprised to see that she was walking out of the coffee house with coffee stains down her white T-shirt, instructing Lauren to stop apologising for the fact she'd sprayed coffee over her once Franky had delivered her news. Emma and Barbara-Jean unable to say a word, both of them and Lauren waving her off wearing the Stunned Goldfish looks on their faces.

Chapter 125 - Grounded Divos
Despite the tremendous success of their latest release, Urs had woken this particular morning, grumpier than ever. His foul mood wasn't down to the few bad reviews Il Divo had received from a few critics, nor was it due to the fact his French friend had become particularly upset by the one review that informed the writer still didn't think Sebastien's voice was particularly good, recommending he and the group as a whole should stick to singing together and asking what Simon Cowell had been thinking putting the Parisian in the group in the first place. He didn't care about that......well that wasn't exactly true. It wasn't the first time they'd read such a thing, but that wasn't that had made him grumpy. No. Being stranded in Denver while promoting the album was what currently had him huffing.
He looked out of the lodge's bedroom window and shook his head when he saw that it was still snowing, as it had been since the day of their arrival five days ago. It hadn't really stopped since they'd landed and by the time they were due to leave it had settled and stood two feet deep that day. Last night David had gone outside to see how deep it had gotten and had come back into the lodge's kitchen to inform that it had reached four and half feet and no way would any flights be leaving Denver International Airport for the foreseeable future. That had been confirmed on the nightly news programme the four of them had watched later in the day, all of them cursing the fact they wouldn't be able to go home for a few days to spend some time with their loved ones before heading off to promote the album in Europe. To varying degrees they were all unhappy about that but at least they weren't stuck in the airport waiting for the weather to improve. They were completely warm and comfortable at the lodge that stood behind David's family home and were being well taken care of by the American's parents.
However, it wasn't any of that had him huffing out a breath every few minutes. It was the fact that was he couldn't get in contact with Franky. Not by his mobile nor the landline or his laptop. Both his mobile and laptop were working fine, David had assured him of that. The landline just rang continuously each of the times he'd called since last night. He'd spent the last two hours trying to figure out what the problem could be, only to come up with nothing.
Hearing a knock at the bedroom door, Urs turned his head over his shoulder and gave David a half-hearted smile as he entered with hot mug of coffee in each hand.
"Not going for a run this morning then?" He asked, grinning and nodding towards the window.
"Not funny David." Urs shook his head in response. "Crazy I may be, but completely insane I am not. How's Seb this morning?"
"Better now he's speaking to Emma. I don't know why he was being so pissy about that review. I mean it's not like he was singled out. Mr Knight had a little dig at all.......Are you listening to a word I'm saying Urs?"
"Sorry. Just trying to get through to Franky." Urs shrugged, his mobile pressed against his ear only to hear it go to voicemail once again. "I just thought since Seb's able to speak to Emma now I might get through to Franky."
"I don't want to worry you, but maybe something's happened at the house. I did hear Seb questioning Emma as to why he couldn't get through last night. Seems they've had some high winds back........home........over the past few hours."
"How high?"
"I don't know. That's all I heard."
"Sorry." Urs sighed, trying once again to get hold of Franky and tossing the mobile on the bed when his call went unanswered yet again. "I don't know why Seb pays any attention to the crap Wade Knight writes. I mean that guy has been totally against us from the beginning. I don't know why he doesn't just laugh it off like Carlos did after reading what he wrote."
"Ageing lothario! The day Carlos stops flirting on stage is the day I'll be able to sing baritone. Ain't never going to happen buddy."
"Ja, I know." Urs chuckled along with David for a few minutes, recalling that they'd all read the article Wade Knight had written, all of them fuming after reading what he'd written only to fall into a fit of giggles following listening to Carlos read what the man had said about him.
'As always, the stand out voice of the group is Marin and his solo work is simply amazing. That said, the man is pushing fifty years of age and it's about time he stopped with flirting like some ageing lothario. I for one, hope not to see a more mature performance from said baritone during the tour. No-one in my circle of friends or associates finds his antics particularly endearing. Same goes for that ridiculous eyebrow wiggle.'
"Like he said, the fans' opinion is more important than that of some minor music magazine writer. And he's right."
"You're only saying that because you're in the lead with the solo sales."
"Nein I'm no........Urgh!" Urs growled, smiling and shaking his head, knowing that the American tenor was winding him up. "I'll never catch up with the all four solo sales though."
"No, maybe not. Whole project's gone down much better than I thought it would." David nodded in agreement. "I'm not bothered mine's lagging behind. Five hundred's nothing in the grand scheme of things."
"Nein. And.........."
The sound of Urs's mobile ringing stopped the conversation dead and he batted his hand at David once he saw who was calling.
"Franky, what the hell has been happening over there?" He asked once the bedroom door had been closed.
"I don't know where to begin honey. I've had so much to do today, I don't know which way is up at the minute. Were you worried?"
"Nein."
"Liar."
"All right, I was a little." Urs replied with a laugh, wondering how she knew he was fibbing down the phone line. "So tell me all about it."
"Everything was fine until about three o'clock this morning, then the wind really got up, 70 mph last I heard. I could hear it howling outside when Ciara woke up screaming. She was so scared it was going to rip the roof off, poor baby. It took me ages to get her settled again. I'd only just got back to sleep when I heard an almighty crash at the end of the driveway."
"What happened?"
"Nothing too serious really, just that big old Elm tree fell........right across the gates. I've got to try and find someone to move it because I can't get the gates open."
"Okay. Why haven't you answered my calls?"
"Because we've had no electricity supply since seven o'clock this morning, my mobile battery was dead after speaking to you yesterday and I forgot to put it on charge. The house phone doesn't work if there's no electricity supply does it?"
"Errrrrrrrrrrrm.........."
"Believe me it doesn't honey." Franky's giggle came down the line.
"Soooo no internet either?"
"Nope! Also no heating, the children have spent the day in the lounge because it's been so cold. And to think you wanted to get rid of that log fire."
"All right. I'll admit it, not one of my better ideas."
"Seems I've heard that before. Around Christmas time last year."
"Stop it! You know what happens when you tease me. The last thing I need is a cold shower, thank you very much."
"Well I did tell you I'd get my own back........didn't I?"
"Ahem! Jayoudid." Urs laughed and shook his head, knowing that he'd teased Franky a few days before, talking to her while eating strawberries that he'd dipped in chocolate and making some rather sexy moans down the line that made her whine.
She was now getting her own back for reminding him how they'd made love in the lounge while Saskia had taken the children Christmas shopping and how they'd argued about replacing the fire shortly after moving into the house. Him wanting to replace it with a modern electric one, Franky wanting to keep the coal or log fuelled burner.
"What cut the electricity off?"
"Sub-station tripped, left more than us without power. It's taken all day to get it back on."
"Anything else?"
"Yes, but nothing I can't handle. How are promos going?"
"Fantastic! Same with most of the reviews."
"Hmmn. Most of them anyway. Emma wasn't happy after reading one yesterday. The fans are raving over here though."
"Really?!"
"Yes really! I was in the local record store a couple of days ago, heard several ladies trying to decide which package to buy. One even left with six copies. Don't bother asking me whose solo work they bought, I was...........otherwise occupied."
"Don't tell me with what. Seeing what's on the new Nickelback CD I should imagine."
"What? Me do such a thing?"
"Very funny Fire."
"Have you got any idea when you're coming home honey?" Franky asked once she'd stopped giggling.
"Nein angel. I'm sorry, it's barely stopped snowing since we arrived and doesn't look like it's going to any time soon. I so wanted to be with you today."
"I know you did. It doesn't matter, it's not like it's a special birthday for me. I just miss you that's all and the children keep reminding me to ask you."
"I miss you too." Urs replied, swallowing the lump that had risen to his throat. "I'll erm........I'll let you know as soon as I know."
"I know you will honey. Erm..........talk to the children for a little while will you? I need the bathroom."
"Okay." Urs nodded and waited to hear who came on first, smiling when he heard Ciara asking when he was coming home and replying soon, listening to her tell him what it was like to be without electricity and how much mess there was waiting to be cleared up, Serena, Jordi, Kurt and Frank all asking and saying much the same thing when their turn came. Sylvie tearfully explaining that she'd ended her relationship with her boyfriend because he'd been pressuring her to move their relationship forward, unable to accept her decision that she wasn't ready to take that relationship and finding him semi-naked in the woods near Lauren and David's home with an almost naked girl she didn't know. "Don't worry Sylvie. You did the right thing. I know that's not what you want to hear right now but you did. It takes time to find your other half sometimes."
"I know Papi. I just hope I find my angel quicker than you did yours." Sylvie sniff-laughed down the line. "Have you wished Mami happy birthday yet?"
"Nein, not yet. Did Lauren do what I asked her to do?"
"Ja. Mami's back. I'll just go and get it ready."
"Okay." Urs nodded, rising from the recumbant position he'd taken on the bed and heading downstairs to the lodge's kitchen where he found David, Sebastien and Carlos waiting.
"What's going on Urs?"
"Patience Frau Buhler."
Giggling at the grumbling he could hear, Urs turned the loudspeaker on, set the mobile down on the table and waited for Sylvie to inform that they were ready her end. Six children's voices joined Il Divo's voice in singing 'Happy Birthday' to Franky and waited for her to stop sniffing once they'd done so. Happy Anniversary wishes were also given at both ends then Urs retrieved his mobile to find out what Franky thought of the white cake decorated with Cherry Blossom that he'd asked Lauren to make for her.
"It's wonderful honey. It really, really is. Thank you for such a beautiful surprise. Thank the guys for me. I wish I could talk for much, much longer, but I have so much to do. I love you Ice. Happy Anniversary honey."
"I love you too Fire. Happy Anniversary........angel." Urs replied, swallowing hard just before he pressed the button to end the call and looking out of the kitchen window to see that it had finally stopped snowing and bright sunlight flooded into the room.

Poor Urs so worried about Franky and the family. At least he now knows the reason behind his worries..

I feel for Carlos and Seb I hate the writers and Reporters that Trash our Divos..

That is so uncalled for and that man could take some lessons from our eye wiggling Spanish Baritone..

Chapter 126 - Fire Times Two.....Perhaps?!
Urs sighed as he toed his running shoes off at the back door. Franky had been so quiet over the passed few weeks, not that he blamed her, she had recently received a big shock after all. He swallowed copious amounts of water while he remembered her walking out of her Uncle's hospital room, looking stunned and walking slowly. Tears in her eyes as she took a seat next to him, seeming not to hear him asking if he'd gone. Her head shaking slowly after he'd repeated the question then slowly telling him what he'd had to say.
He drained the last of the bottle as he recalled her telling him that her Uncle had revealed a long kept family secret. Franky was not an only child, she had been born a twin. He sat down at the kitchen table and allowed his mind to drift back to the conversation that followed as her Aunt stepped out of the room.
"I'm so sorry Franky." Lena Hartford had apologised, squatting in front of her niece, taking hold of her hands. "We both promised your parents we would never tell. I tried to persuade Lou after they'd died, but he kept saying he would never break a promise he'd made to his sister, no matter how much it hurt him."
"Why didn't they tell me? Didn't they think I would be able to handle it?"
"No. It wasn't like that. Things were dealt with differently when you were born. Parents who had a stillborn weren't encouraged to talk about their feelings like they are nowadays. Tragedies like what happened to Teresa were brushed under the carpet. Your parents never spoke about her in front of you once you'd reached four years old but they never, ever forgot her. I tried to get them to tell you when your mother was ill, they'd kept it buried for so long they couldn't bring themselves to hurt you anymore after what your mum's tests and examinations revealed. That's when they made us make that promise. We didn't want to, but your mum thought you had more than enough to deal with without revealing that. You know, Jamie and all her crap?"
"You could have told me after she and dad died."
"I wanted to and I am so sorry I didn't have the courage to do so. I couldn't go against Lou. I'm sorry, I just couldn't"
"What happened to her? Why was she stillborn?"
"I can't remember exactly. Some sort of birth defect that wasn't treatable back then. I never even saw her, only your parents did. Uncle Lou only ever saw her face."
Franky had nodded, attempted to dry her eyes and had given her Aunt a hug before leaving the hospital. Urs drove her home in silence and watched her head to her office once they were there.

He blinked slowly, not having a clue what she'd done in there but knowing for the last few days she'd searched through the mail as though she was expecting something. Knowing that today's should have arrived by now, he stood and headed for where she should be. It was her day to do the garage accounts after all.
He crossed the threshold and saw her focusing on what she was doing, though she did look at the one unopened white envelope that lay on her desk once in while. He took a breath as he walked towards her and looked at the postage mark he'd last seen when she'd ordered her Great Uncle's birth and death certificates.
"Not going to open this?" He asked, bouncing the envelope in front of Franky's face. "This is what you've been waiting for isn't it?"
"Yes it is!" She snapped in response. "I'm sorry, I'll open it when I've finished the accounts."
"Slowing down in your old age. You've usually finished by now."
"Piss off and leave me alone Urs. I'm not in the mood for your teasing."
"Don't take it out of me because your family decided to keep it a secret all these years. It's not like it's the first secret they've kept from you." He retorted, turning away from her and heading for the door only to feel Franky grabbing his arm, pulling him back round to face her.
"I'm sorry Urs. I'm just having so much trouble dealing with this." She sniffed, her head shaking.
"I know." He nodded, quickly pulled her into his arms and rocked her gently, listening to her cry again. "I'm sorry for not realising how you're feeling. I can't even begin to imagine what you're feeling. I'd be mad as hell, wanting to.........I don't know. Yell at them for keeping such a secret. It's not fair and it's not right."
"I know." Franky nodded, pulling away from him a little. "At least now I know why I've always felt like there's part of me missing huh?"
"Ja. Though I still don't quite understand why you feel that way. Maybe it's memories of being in the womb together?"
"Yeah, maybe that's exactly what it is. Jordi still gets those feelings now and again" Franky nodded, taking hold of his hand and leading him back to her desk where she handed him the envelope. "You open it and read it first."
"If that's what you want." Urs nodded, ripped the envelope open and retrieved the contents.
After unfolding the cream coloured piece of paper he read carefully from the Stillbirth Certificate. Confirming that all the names and occupations tallied with Franky's birth certificate, the only difference being that Teresa Honor Gibson had been born on the 13th November, one minute after midnight. That would explain why there was no time on Franky's birth certificate. He sighed and furrowed when he tried to pronounce the cause of death.
"Gastro....Gastrochi......No.......Erm.......Gastrochisis? What's that?"
"No idea." Franky replied shaking her head and moving quickly to log onto the internet, asking for the spelling and clicking on images. "Oh my God!" She exclaimed, her hand flying to her mouth when she saw pictures of newborn babies with their intentines on the outside of their abdomen. "Poor mum and dad, having to see Teresa like that. No wonder they never said anything."
"They wouldn't have known before she was born would they?"
"No I don't think so. The hospital didn't get it's first ultrasound scanner until 1977 as far as I know."
"I remember, the one they used on you when you were pregnant with Frank was ancient back then, Gott knows what that 1977 one looks like in comparison to that new one."
"Can we go up to the cemetery? See if we can find out where she's buried?"
"Sure, just let me go and take shower and change."
Franky nodded in agreement with his request and thanked him before he left her to finish the accounts with a kiss on the forehead. Fifty minutes later, they entered the cemetery office, made their enquiry and walked out with a map indicating a rough location for Teresa's grave. In the hope that they would find what they were looking for, Franky bought a small posy of flowers from a nearby trader and hand-in-hand, she and Urs headed for where stillborns were buried, most were in a mass grave, they already knew that, but they'd been told Teresa had her own plot, marked with a small gravestone.
Slowly, they walked up and down the grass avenues and rows, shaking their heads once in a while until they were near the end of the fourth row. Urs squeezing Franky's hand, indicating a kneeling and praying angel. He stood back a little, watched Franky approach, read the name and dates and brush the leaves off whatever else was carved into the stone.
"Our ever sleeping angel. Teresa Honor Gibson. Never in our arms, forever in our hearts."
"Does that mean what I think it does?" Urs asked Franky after a few moments quiet contemplation, watching her arranging the flowers in the long forgotten pot.
"That they never even got chance to even hold her you mean?" She replied, raising her tear-streaked face to meet his and seeing him nod. "I guess it does. From what I know about back then, stillborns were usually taken straight away and parents weren't encouraged to see them, never mind being given the chance to hold them and say goodbye."
"That's not right." Urs shook his head as he helped Franky stand. "I'm glad attitudes have changed. I couldn't have let them do that to Flavian. I know I didn't want that photograph taken, but I'm so glad we have it now. Glad we got to hold him and say goodbye. I wonder what Teresa looked like? I'd like to think she looked like you."
"That's a lovely idea." Franky nodded, drying her eyes and spending a few more moments looking at her twin's grave until she decided she'd had enough.
They drove back home, Urs happy to see a soft smile on her face for the first time in days. They'd just entered the house when the gate buzzer went and Urs moved quickly to answer it, informing Franky that Sissy was coming up the drive when she came to his side. He opened the door, watched Franky's cousin enter and give her a hug before they moved to lounge.
"How's Aunt Lena doing?"
"Getting by. We finally went through Dad's things yesterday." Sissy sniffed, her head nodding quickly. "Wasn't easy, even at my age. God alone knows how you did it twice at such young age and by yourself. Don't think I could have done that."
"Yes you could." Franky nodded, sniffing herself.
"Anyway. There's a reason for my visit."
"Which is?"
"Just before dad died, he managed to mumble something to me. I didn't have a clue what he meant until yesterday."
"What did he say?"
"Not much. Just a few words. 'Back. Bible. Serena, Frank no bear. See. Franky must have'."
"Very strange. I don't have a clue either."
"Neither did I until I was looking through Grandma Hartford's old bible yesterday." Sissy nodded, reaching into her handbag, pulling an almost pristine black and white photograph out and handing it to Franky. "I found that under the piece of paper that should have been stuck to the back. That's Teresa. Mum remembered dad going into the funeral home and taking a picture, hoping that it would bring Aunt Serena some peace. She couldn't bear to see it after the first time, always blamed herself for what had happened from what mum told me."
"Oh! Now I know why she always used to have a little cry the day after my birthday." Franky nodded, her fingers running down the seemingly sleeping features she saw in the photograph before showing it to Urs properly. "Thanks Sissy. You don't know how much it means for me to have this."
"No I don't, but there's no need to thank me." Sissy shook her head and stood up. "I'd better get back home. Leo and Franco both have a cold, though the way they're behaving you'd think it was flu."
"Men and young boys when they're ill huh?" Franky laughed, looking at Urs who shook his head, tongue firmly planted in his cheek at her teasing. "They'll be running you ragged again before you know it."
"Don't remind me."
Giggling the two women headed for the front door where Franky gave Sissy another hug, this time to say goodbye. She returned to the lounge to find Urs searching through a drawer as though looking for something. It didn't take him long to find it and Franky smiled when she saw he'd found a photograph frame they'd bought but never used. A simple, silver frame, decorated with a rose that the photograph of Teresa would fit in perfectly.
"Question is, where are we going to put it? We have so many on display."
"There's always room for one more." Franky smiled, taking the frame from him and heading for her office, placing it on a very long shelf next to the one they had of herself as a newborn in much the same frame.
"Perfect." Urs nodded approvingly of the position she'd chosen. "If I didn't know which one was you, I wouldn't be able to guess. You're identical."
"What's that look for?"
"Well you know how Kurt has identical twin girl cousins?" Urs shrugged and watched Franky nod. "I was just wondering if Teresa had lived, would you have swapped back and forth with boyfriends for fun, the way those two used to do."
"You know what?" Franky replied, grinning mischieviously at Urs then at the photograph of her sister. "I think we just might have done something like that."
"But not with me right?" Urs asked only to receive no reply as she walked away from him heading for the kitchen. "Franky?............Franky?.......... Franky?............Nah! Damn am I glad she's still such a tease?" He growled, heading for the lounge and jumping over the back of one of the couches.
"Urs Buhler what have I told you about that?"
"And she's still got eyes in the back of her head."
"No. I just know you and your bad habits too well." Franky informed, offering him the plate that held what had become his favourite sandwich only to watch him take it and set it down on the coffee table. "Not hungry?"
"Ja, but not for food. Come here you." He growled, grabbing around the waist, quickly pulling her down to a semi-reclining position and looming over her, smiling lovingly before he spoke. "I'll have you know I only have one bad habit Mrs Buhler, one that I never, ever intend to break because I love her so very much." He nodded then kissed her passionately feeling all the blood rush to the lower half of his body when she wrapped her arms around his neck and returned the kiss.
So involved were they, they didn't hear the front door open or see the children enter the lounge. They saw and heard nothing but each other until Frank coughed loudly then said they were heading outside to play with 'Londy', all six of themlooking very red-faced as they raced towards the kitchen. Urs and Franky looked at each other as their family flew back out the door, both of them bursting into hysterical laughter as the back door slammed shut.

Chapter 126 - The Odd Couple
Urs could scarcely believe that Il Divo had completed another tour already. It didn't seem like five minutes since they'd been promoting 'Unita e Oltre', never mind organising the tour. While Franky drove, he huffed a quick laugh recalling how nervous all four men had been about having to perform on their own, especially the first time they'd done. He certainly hadn't been expecting anyone to be so nervous that they'd actually throw up, but Sebastien had done so, for the first three performances anyway.
He flitted back to the tour rehearsals and how the four of them had argued about who was going to sing solo first, only stopping their bickering when they'd seen Franky, Lauren, Emma and Barbara-Jean sitting nearby, looking at each other and shaking their heads in exasperation. Barbara-Jean vocalising that perhaps they should take it in turns rather than stick to a rigid schedule then looking at the rest of the girls and saying it really was like dealing with three year olds half the time, making everyone in the room crack up laughing with the exception of Urs and his bandmates to begin with.
That idea had worked amazingly well, the audience never knowing who was going to come out first, the reactions getting better and louder with each performance. Sebastien being so stunned by the loud applause and long standing ovation he'd received following his solo effort, that he'd taken several steps backwards, the audience spending at least ten minutes on their feet. The Frenchman somewhat reluctant to leave the stage once his time was up, but doing so with tears welling in his eyes as the lights went down. Carlos had, of course, ignored Wade Knight's wishes, and had flirted just as much as ever, his Cuties and Barbara-Jean loving every second of it. David had been a lot happier by the end of the tour because his solo work had almost caught up with the other three, though the four sales combined didn't come close to what the four solo works sold. On the last day of the tour, first and last place solos works were separated by a mere fifty copies with Sebastien just pipping Urs into first place.
Though he hadn't been one hundred per cent sure about one of the songs he'd recorded, Urs had been left feeling a little more than stupid after hearing the reaction he got to his version of 'I'm Already There'. It wasn't that he didn't like the song, he just hadn't agreed with Franky's suggestion to begin with. Oh how wrong could he have been about that? Simon, had nodded his approval on hearing it and Urs himself was sure he'd seen him swallow hard. Franky had had tears in her eyes the first time she'd heard it and the same had happened each time he'd sung it during the tour. All that, and he'd actually lost count of how many fans had told him they loved the song.
True, almost ten months on the road had been arduous and tempers had flared once in while but nothing major had happened throughout it. No. Everything had gone fantastically well. The only downer had come at the end of tour party when Jonathon Smythe had announced that he probably wouldn't be going on the next one. All four men and women had looked at the children's beloved tutor in stunned silence, Urs finding his voice first and asking why. The man himself reminding that he had said probably, nothing was written in stone and that he could hopefully get a certain someone to change her mind in the interim before leaving the room with tears running down his face.
Now here they were, well Urs and Franky anyway, heading for the house where Jonathon lived. Franky bound and determined to find out why the man who provided such an enjoyable learning environment for all the Divo children was thinking of quitting.
"You think I'm handling this the wrong way honey?" Urs heard Franky asking and turned his head to look at her.
"Nein. You've asked him plenty of times and I think we deserve an answer. The ki.......children know something's wrong and I mean all of them, not just ours."
"I know. Stupid thing I can't turn left, it's a one way street. Urgh!" Franky grumbled at the SatNav and turned the car right, pulling to a stop a few metres down the road.
A few moments later, they were standing on Jonathon's doorstep, waiting patiently for him to answer the doorbell. It didn't take him long and the tall, blue-eyed man didn't look that surprised to see them both standing there if his quick admittance of the couple was anything to go by.
"You've been expecting us to pay a visit, haven't you Jonty?" Franky asked, both her and Urs following Jonathon through to the kitchen and quickly taking a seat at the table.
"Yeah! At some point. How was Ireland?" Jonathon replied, not looking at either of them, otherwise occupied with making coffee.
"Great! Though Franky and Poitin is a funny story."
"Urs! We're not here to tell embarrassing stories." Franky scolded, the scowl on her face doing nothing to hide the blush that had risen to her cheeks.
"Sorry. Some other time........maybe. Look Jonathon, we'd like to know why you're thinking of leaving us. We haven't said anything to the children yet, but they know there's something wrong with you. Is there something seriously wrong with you or a member of your family?" Urs asked, accepting the mug he was being offered and hearing the tutor sigh as he took a seat.
"Yes, there is something seriously wrong with me." Jonathon informed with a laugh and headshake at the two people who'd origninally employed him when he saw the shocked and concerned expressions on their faces. "Don't look at me like that. I'm not ill. I'm just........seriously in love. I met her while you were recording the last album, while I was filling my time tutoring children that need a little extra help. Her nephew was struggling with English.....He's dyslexic. I tried to get her to come on the tour with me but she refused. Said you wouldn't want her anywhere near you or your children Franky."
"What's her name?"
"Erm........"
"Jonathon?"
"Sage....Sage Andrews."
"Oh! Right!"
"Franky! Are you all right?" Urs asked surprised to seeing the stunned look she wore.
"Fine honey. Honestly! It's just a.....well."
"Do you know this woman?"
"Not really, no. Haven't heard the name in years, since I was at school actually. She used to hang around with Jamie."
"Oh! So you don't like her then?"
"How can I not like someone I never even spoke to? Yeah she hung around with Jamie, briefly, but she never said or did anything nasty to me. Haven't seen or heard anything of her since I was fourteen."
"She thinks you're holding a grudge." Jonathon laughed. "At least she did until a few days ago. I think I've managed to convince her otherwise. I'm not completely sure because she plays her cards so damned close to her chest. It's hard to tell what she's thinking sometimes. I love her so much and I'm seriously thinking about proposing. If she accepts I just can't see myself leaving her here while I go on tour with you. As much as I love the children, I just can't do it Franky. I'm sorry I can't."
"It's okay. I understand." Franky nodded then spent a few moments thinking. "So let me get this straight. She thinks I'm going to be hateful and nasty to her just because she hung around with Jamie all those years ago?"
"That's one of her reasons."
"Well from what little I remember of her, she wasn't mean or nasty herself. I couldn't even figure out why she hung around Jamie. You know me Jonathon, I don't hold grudges anyway."
"I know. Like I said, I think I've convinced of that. But she still says you won't want her around the children."
"Why ever not? I know for a fact you wouldn't be with her if she wasn't a good person."
"True. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt to prove it so to speak." Jonathon shuddered and grimaced. "No, I definitely wouldn't be with her if she was the tiniest bit like Jamie. She's......Oh damn! How do I say this? Erm.........Okay. She looks a bit.........well......freaky I guess is the best to put it. We do get a lot of funny looks when we're out together, not that I give a damn about that. She thinks she'd scare the children if they were to ever meet."
Urs and Franky spent a few seconds looking at each other, Franky questioning no-one in particular why Jonathon should describe Sage as 'freaky' when knew most boys had thought her very pretty, much more so than Jamie. Smiling as she remembered the straight blonde hair, ice blue eyes and stunning figure. She'd just opened her mouth to say something else when the back door flew and Urs's snapped his head round, his eyes flying wide briefly when he saw the woman who'd entered the kitchen and looked shocked.
"Hello Sage." Franky smiled, giving Urs a quick dig in the ribs and hissing at him to stop staring.
"Sorry." He replied quietly.
"Erm.........Hi......Mrs Buhl........Jonathon, you could have warned me they would be here, then I would have stayed away." Sage snapped, glaring hard at the man she loved.
"Don't get upset with him, Sage. He didn't know we were coming. We've tried three times this week to find out why he's thinking of not coming on the next tour."
"What? Are you joking? You love those children and they love you."
"I know that. But I love you more Sage. I'm not going without you and if that means I have to quit then I will. I want you with me, now and always. Don't you know that yet?"
"Of course I do, I love you too. I'm just..........you know." Sage replied quietly, her heading nodding towards Franky.
"Sage, please sit down and listen to me." Franky asked, indicating the seat opposite her and waiting until Sage had done as she'd asked. "Listen to me. I wasn't raised to hold a grudge. I don't know why you hung around with Jamie all those years ago and it never bothered me that you did so. Why would I hold a grudge against someone who never said an unkind word to me or never did anything bad to me? Don't you think that's a ridiculous idea?"
"Yeah." Sage nodded after a few moments thought, wiping a tear from her eyes. "Yeah, it is. I'm sorry. God knows how you dealt with what that bitch did to you. When I read about the court case........Well I wanted to........"
"That's all in the past. Let's leave it there.....shall we?" Franky asked, placing both her hands on top of Sage's and smiling a little broader when the woman nodded. "Good. Now tell me about the piercings and tattoos."
"Oh, the tattoos are mostly in memory of those I've loved and lost. This one's the most important." Sage smiled, indicating the small hand and footprint on her inner left forearm. "That I had done for my Timmy. It gives me hope that I will be a mother again one day."
"It's beautiful and I'm so sorry."
"No it's all right. I knew from months before he was born there was a chance I would lose him. The doctor's did their best to fix his problem, it just wasn't meant to be. The piercings are.........I had done long before it became fashionable." Sage informed, running the tip of her tongue over the two rings that ran through her bottom lip before yawning and revealing that her tounge was also pierced, twice.
In addition to those piercings, both nostrils were adorned with gold rings. Sage's earlobes carried several pairs of ear-rings, the small pieces of flesh just above the ear canal had gold studs in them, the tops of ears carried diamond encrusted hoops and her septum had thick silver ring through it. In addition to the tattoos and piercings, her hair had obviously been dyed. No-one had natural Cotton Candy Pink hair. It really was no wonder she and Jonathon were stared at when they were together. Especially since Jonathon was such a conservative dresser, only wearing a cygnet ring and watch.
"I've been thinking about removing most of the piercings, just haven't made my decision yet because Jonty seems to like them so much."
"A couple of them I absolutely love." Jonathon replied, his eyes flying wide and his right hand quickly covering his mouth in embarrassment when he noticed that Franky seemed to realise which ones he was referring to.
"That's up to you Sage. I can see how happy you make Jonathon and I wish you had paid a visit during the tour. I would not have judged you for the way you look and you most certainly wouldn't have scared our children. They've met people who look more......."
"Freaky than me?"
"Well.....if you want to put it like that. Yes." Franky nodded with a smile on her face. "But I really don't think you look freaky at all."
"I really have been an idiot haven't I? I'm so sorry baby." Sage sniffed, rising from her seat and wrapping her arms tight around Jonathon's waist.
"Doesn't matter. Does this mean you'll come with me next time?"
"Of course it does you great lumux."
In need of the bathroom, Franky asked where it was and quickly left the kitchen after being given directions. Jonathon also left, stating that he'd finally finished updating the children's records and really needed to print them off before disappearing to his office.
"Erm........Don't you have something to say on the subject Mr Buhler?" Sage asked, chewing nervously on her bottom lip.
"Nein, like Franky I don't judge people by the way they look. One of our roadies is female, has more piercings than you and all the children adore her." Urs shook his head. "Though I would like to know something. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."
"Why did I hang around with Jamie Strawson?"
"Ja."
"Because.......Because I wanted to get close to her brother. My grandfather lived nextdoor to the Strawsons for a few years and I used to stay with him at weekends. The room I used was nextdoor to his and I there weren't many times when I didn't hear the most awful noises through the wall. I thought that if I could get close to Jamie I could talk to Anthony and find out what was going on. Grandpa told me to keep my nose out of it and so did my parents when I told them. I didn't know where to go or who else to tell so I kept my mouth shut. Had I been older I would have ignored them and would have done all I could to get him out of that house. I know what he.....he did a few years ago and what he became addicted to.........I can't really blame him for turning out the way he did. To this day, those memories haunt me. Do you blame him for the way he turned out?"
"Partially. A lot less then I did in the beginning. There's a part of me that still can't forgive him for what he tried to do to Franky or for what he did to that woman he raped. Sorry, that's just how I feel."
"No. It's all right, I can understand." Sage nodded. "I really have been stupid you know. Franky was so kind back then. I thought what Jamie and her family had put her through would change her but she hasn't changed a bit. Don't know if I could do the same."
"Who am I to judge? I don't really know you........yet." Urs smiled and huffed a quick laugh when Sage's eyes widened slightly. "Like Franky said before you walked in, you can't be a bad person if Jonathon loves you and I agree with her."
"Thank you."
"Did you mean what you said, about accompanying Jonathon on the next tour?"
"Yes......Yes I did. I missed him so much while he was away......I swear the pain I felt was actually physical. The hardest part was saying goodbye to him at the airport. Phone calls and such are all well and good, but there was always something missing."
"Oh, ja. I remember that feeling. As chaotic as it is, I couldn't imagine Franky and the children not being with me now." Urs replied as Franky and Jonathon came back into the room, Franky informing that really needed to get going if they were to report back to the rest of the guys before nightfall.
"Please Sage. Don't worry about them, they'll be fine with you too. As long as they and their children are treated with respect and you make Jonathon happy, that's all we really care about. Right honey?"
"Right angel." Urs smiled, his arm moving around Franky's waist once she'd hugged Jonathon and Sage goodbye.
The couple left the house shortly afterwards and, with Urs driving this time, began to make their way home so that they could let everyone else know why Jonathon had been so sad at the end of tour party.
"Something on your mind, honey?" Franky asked as he pulled to a stop at a set of red lights.
"Nothing much. Just wondering if our lovelife would be even hotter if you....you know.....had your tongue pierced."
"Urs! We're just as hot as we were in the beginning, if last night's anything to go by."
Urs grinned his Cheshire Cat smile knowing that they'd made love twice the previous evening. Once in the Music/Dance room, though he still didn't have a clue how they hadn't fallen off the piano. The second in the garage after returning from a ride out to Brock's Cove in the hope of seeing the new badgers that had set up home there.
"Besides, the day I get my tongue pierced Herr Buhler is the day you get a 'Prince Albert'.
Knowing where that particular piercing was done on a man, Urs coughed, fidgetted uncomfortably and listened to Franky begin to laugh as the lights turned green.

Urs and Franky have more class then to look at just the outside of a person and not the truth on the inside..

Sage had no reason to worry.

Urs on the other hand having to say he thought Franky should get a tongue piercing just gave him the backlash he wasn't expecting from Franky..

"Prince Albert" huh! giggles Poor Urs...

Chapter 127- Fire's Unexpected Inheritance
At first he'd been worried when he'd first stepped into the Knightsbridge branch of Patisserie Valerie to find Franky sitting at the back of the cafe, a cold cup of Cappucino and an untouched slice of apple tart in front of her. He'd looked at her for second and quickly realised something major had happened at her uncle's lawyer's office. Her eyes were wide and tear-filled, though she wasn't allowing them to fall. Her mouth moved, but no words came out and she kept swallowing hard between deep breaths. This was the way she always reacted to stunning news and she didn't seem to notice he was there until he sat opposite her and touched her arm.
"Sorry, honey." She sighed, then blew out a deep breath. "How did it go with Simon?"
"Fine. I'm not bothered about the new album right now. What's wrong angel?"
"Noth....Nothing.......Nothing's wrong......I'm just........a little overwhelmed at what I heard this morning." Franky sniffed.
"Like what?" Urs questioned, then turned his head to give the waitress his order.
"Erm........Uncle Lou has left me something in his will."
"Is it really that much of a surprise? You were his sister's only child and he loved you."
"I know, I know. I just never expected him to leave me anything, never mind what he has."
"What's he left you?"
"A.......erm.........a house.....in P-P-Paris and more. I'm sorry, I'm so stunned I can't tell you any more right now. It's all in here." Franky sniffed and handed him three sheets of paper. "Read it while......while I try to eat this without choking."
Urs nodded, unfolded the already tear-stained pieces of paper and took a deep breath, despite the fact that he felt mildly upset at what Franky had told him so far. He'd been looking into buying somewhere for just the two of them to retreat to in Paris for the past few weeks. He could afford it, hadn't found anywhere the two of them would like at the minute and now it seemed that her Uncle Lou had taken that away from him. He took a deep breath and began to read, just as his coffee arrived.

'My dearest niece
How do I begin to tell you how much you mean to me? Other than your Aunt and Cousins, you are the most important person in the world to me. You are so much like your mother in more ways than one.
Please, please don't refuse to accept what I have left you in my will. It broke my heart enough when my father died and your mother and I discovered that he'd left the majority of his estate to me. As much as we loved him, his sexism was the one thing that annoyed the hell out of us. I tried and I tried to get your mother to accept an equal share, but she insisted she was perfectly happy with what she got. I even thought about helping your father out. Yes I offered to settle the garage's debts, more than once, but he stubbornly refused. He was such a proud man so very, very sure he could sort things out himself. I also contemplated just putting the money in the garage's bank account. God that would have infuriated Frank. He was lazy when it came to the paperwork you know that, but he wasn't stupid, he would have known instantly where the money had come from and would have insisted I take it back.
You, my darling, darling girl are so like them both. Stubborn, independent, hard-working and unselfish. Also refusing to accept my help when your parents died. Your eyes blazed just like Serena's used to do whenever she became mildly angry. I didn't even contemplate trying to do what I had with Frank again. No, I decided to do something else that would only be revealed once I'd gone.
I know you prefer Venice and you know how much your mother and father adored Paris. It was hard decision for me to make, but I decided to leave you a little house in Paris. Do not worry about your aunt and cousins, they have been left more than adquately provided for and will be more than content with what I have left them. I should know, I talked my plan over with them before I re-wrote my will, they are more than happy for you to have the Paris property.
The day before your mother died, I promised her that I would help Frank take care of you. Sadly, I didn't get the chance because you found Urs and he took the opportunity from me. Yes he's made me angry with some of things he's done to you, but if you can forgive him, then so can I. He has more than made up for those mistakes and I know how hard the early years of married life are, particularly when you are financially secure. I've been there myself.
That said, I have also made a small financial provision for you and your family in my will. Your share is yours to do with as you wish, but the children's will be held in trust until they are twenty-five. My lawyer will go through all that with you.
Until we meet again, Poppet, be happy and accept this small token of my affection.
Love always
Uncle Lou'

"Well?" Urs heard Franky questioning once she'd swallowed the last mouthful of her dessert. "What do you think should do?"
"Erm...........Stop being so bloody stubborn and accept it, angel."
"Despite the fact it's ru.......scuppered your plans?"
"Ja. How did you know about that anyway?!" Urs asked, his eyes flying wide and his mouth gaping.
"How many times have I told you not to leave your laptop running? Frank saw the email you left open last night, came running to me and asked if we were moving to Paris."
"Oh! Ah! I've.......lost count." Urs shrugged with a smile on his face. "I mean it, Franky. Stop being stubborn. Or are you thinking he's trying to make it up to you for what he did regarding Teresa?"
"No, I know he would never have broken that promise he made to my parents, not until he was on his deathbed anyway. And I do know how stubborn I can be, you should appreciate that a little bit more than you do you know?"
"How so?" Urs demanded, raising his voice a little and giving her a harsh glare.
"Because if I wasn't so much like my parents, you and I would never have met."
"Ja, we would. At the tribute show, we would still have asked to meet you."
"No we wouldn't." Franky shook her head and sighed. "If Grandpa Hartford had got his way I wouldn't ever learned how to ride a bike for one. He went crazy at dad for teaching me how to ride and only got angrier when dad told him that I was working in the garage. Luckily mum arrived and told her father to back off, my career choice wasn't his to make and she was fine with it. He came round to the idea...........eventually."
"What did he want you to be?"
"An accountant. I don't mind doing the books for the garages but day in, day out, no thank you."
"So leaving you mother less than he did your uncle was his way of punishing her?"
"No, no, no. He believed.....and I mean obstinately believed that the male should inherit the most. As much as my mother, uncle Lou and I adored him, there was no shifting that mindset."
"Oh, okay. But that still doesn't mean we wouldn't have met."
"I know it doesn't. It wasn't my idea to do that show, Lauren and Shawn talked me into doing it. If my father had accepted Uncle Lou's help, perhaps I wouldn't have lost him too and we would have been in Paris on the first anniversary of mum's death. We'd talked about it after finding her memory box, virtually every momento in there was a reminder of the times the two of them had shared there. When the bank called dad the morning of his fatal heart attack and he........."
"You blame the bank for him having that?"
"N.....Yes, in a way. They called twice a week, Monday and Friday. I just thought they would ease off a little, knowing that mum had just died and dad was having a hard time dealing with it. They wouldn't talk to me because I wasn't a partner, just a general dogsbody, at least that's what the assistant manager called me when I tried to talk to them and find out what was happening. He got the shock of his life when I turned up after dad's funeral with my propositions and repayment plans. Anyway, as the weeks rolled by I decided that I was going to go to Paris..........on my own if I had to. Three times and hours of constant nagging from Lauren and Shawn got me to change my mind. I wouldn't have done that tribute show or gone out on that ride, I wouldn't have crashed and therefore, I wouldn't have met you, honey."
"Gott, Franky. You should have told me all that before now." Urs sighed as he reached over to wipe the tears from her cheeks. "Why haven't you ever said anything?"
"Because that's not what happened..... Fate.....Kharma....Destiny......Call it what you like........Seems they had different plans for me, didn't they?"
"Ja, they did......thank Gott. But you should still have told me before now. Despite that, I am grateful that you are so stubborn, I appreciate you even more now."
"Thank you and I'm really sorry for not telling you sooner. I just didn't see much point, since things didn't work out that way and I've had such a wonderful life because they didn't."
"It's no less than you deserve, angel." Urs shook his head as he leaned over the table to give her quick kiss on the lips. "I would give you the world on a silver platter if I thought for one minute you would accept it, you know that."
"I know you would." Franky nodded, gave him a smile and he allowed her to take a few minutes to compose herself before he spoke again.
"So, what's the property like?"
"Three bedroomed place in the eleventh arrondisement. Aunt Lena says it's not in very good condition, barely habitable."
"So it needs some work?"
"Definitely a few new roof tiles that's for sure. Uncle Lou only bought it a few months ago, hadn't even made contact with any builders."
"Okay. Anything else?"
"The floorboards in the master bedroom need replacing. Someone broke in and ripped them out, so a couple of windows need replacing too. Aunt Lena says we might want to replace the bathroom as well. Avacado green is so not our colour is it?"
"Nein."
"Everything else is in pretty good order, apart from the kitchen. The units in there are ancient and falling apart."
Urs grinned his Cheshire Cat smile, knowing that himself, David, Carlos, Sebastien had only gone through the list of songs this morning, translations and arrangements would take a while, leaving him with some free time. He knew he could tackle the floorboards, that was a simple job he'd done before. He could probably help with fitting the kitchen too, depending on what Franky chose.
"Urs?!"
"Ja, what?"
"All right, I'll accept the gift.......and the money too, but.........the house will be just as much yours as it is mine. We'll make all the decisions together, don't you know that yet?"
"Of course I do. How much has he left the children?"
"Quarter of a million, Sylvie included.
"Oh! Well I didn't expect him to include her. It's not that much when you divided it by six"
"Each, honey.........Quarter of a million pounds each."

Other than Franky saying that she'd better not tell him how much money she'd been left, that was the last thing Urs remembered about that conversation. He'd sprayed a mouthful of coffee over Franky and heard her giggle, not the least bit bothered that he'd stained her blouse, after revealing the children's inheritance. Now, almost two years later, here he stood in that very house, located on Rue Pasteur admiring the yellow old word typical French style kitchen he and Franky had chosen, chuckling to himself as he remembered the 'Stunned Goldfish' look the salesman had worn when Franky pulled out her bank card to pay for it.
"Admiring your handiwork again?" He heard Franky's voice behind him and whipped round to face her.
"Nei.........Okay. You got me."
"No longer a little miffed with Uncle Lou either?"
"Just a tad." Urs replied, holding the index finger and thumb mere millimetres apart. "If Josette had sent me the details for this place I would have snatched it up. Obviously she didn't listen when I said I didn't mind if it needed some work doing."
"Honey, she didn't even listen to where you said you wanted her to look. Everything she sent you details for was for luxury apartments located near the tower, that were way out of your price bracket or when you clearly stated a house anywhere in Paris. It's not your fault she's pissed at you because she's lost a commission or that her boss has given her a warning to pay more attention to her client's wishes in future."
"I didn't say it was, did I? That doesn't bother me at all."
"What does then?"
"The fact that we've been so busy we haven't been able to go up the tower for one." Urs replied, pulling Franky into his arms and pressing his forehead against hers. "And that we can't spend a few days alone together here because the schedule over-ran, we've still got work to do and I have to be in the studio tomorrow for another two." He grinned pointing down to the kitchen floor toward the cellar they'd discovered after ripping up the old linoleum.
"Ummm. And the smallest bedroom still needs another coat of paint."
"I know it does, but that will have to wait until Maryse is over her cold. She still has a key doesn't she?"
"Yes and Madame Devereaux says she'll make sure she's taken care of. You know what Maryse is like for not eating or drinking when she's working."
"Hmmn. I'm going to have to do some extra workouts just to work off what Tatienne has supplied us with the past few days." Urs nodded, recalling that the elderly woman who lived next door kept himself, Franky and the people they hired supplied with coffee, French pastries and sandwiches every day they were there, always knocking on the door and handing the tray over with a smile.
He huffed a quick laugh remembering the first time he'd seen that smile and he'd thought she was a fan and how Franky had laughed when Tatienne had shaken her head and asked 'Who?' in French before explaining that she was happy that someone was finally doing the place up, the previous owner not having repaired or altered a thing in the twenty-seven years he'd lived there. The woman asking how they were going to decorate it, quickly disappearing back to her home once Franky explained they wanted to it in a traditional French style and returning with a few photographs of how the house had looked just before world war two. Himself and Franky quickly agreeing to go looking for the painted furniture look they saw in those pictures for the bedrooms, the two of them giggling like naughty schoolchildren when they measured up the master bedroom, quickly realising that a king-sized bed would be too big if they were to have a wardrobe and other pieces in there as well. The two of them grinning at each other once they'd settled on a double bed instead.
"Anyway, you haven't even told me what you'd like to do with the cellar yet."
"Sorry angel. Well......the ceiling's nowhere near high enough for it to be converted into a studio and lowering the floor level is an impossibility." Urs pouted playfully, knowing that both he and Franky had to bend at least a foot when inside the room. "I wouldn't even be able to get instruments in once all the necessary equipment had been installed if it was a foot or so higher. Erm........Guess we'll have to go with your idea, storage for the garden furniture and such in winter."
"Sie, Urs Buhler, sind immer noch wie ein schlechter Lügner." Franky giggled and kissed the tip of his nose. "Das Schmollmund hat nichts mit jener zu tun. Ich weiß genau, was Sie auf dem Küchentisch machen wollen. Ihr bösen Menschen. Sie müssen nur warten, bis wir hier die Förderung sind die CD, nicht wahr?"
"Alright. Du hast mich wieder. Come on, let's lock this place up before we give in to our wants and make us late for Eurostar.....again."
Reluctantly the couple locked up the house after setting the alarm and grabbed their bags before hailing a taxi. This time they arrived with fifteen minutes to spare rather than five like they had on all their previous return journeys. In no time at all they were back at home in England where Franky headed to her office to do the garage accounts and Urs headed upstairs.
He knocked on Kurt's door and opened it without waiting for a reply. His eyes widened when he saw that the room was finally tidy after weeks of being told to get it done and the young man was actually hunched over his desk, a stack of text books to his right and one open in front of him.
"I'm sorry Papi." Kurt sighed barely able to look at him.
"I accept your apology, Kurt, but I meant what I said. You are not getting a new computer until you catch up with your homework and you learn to keep your room tidy. It's your own fault your other one got broken, you've been told plenty of times not to leave it on the floor."
"I know."
"And while we're at it, I've decided on your punishment for saying that you hate your mother for refusing to buy you another one."
"Please, Papi. Not the cleaning the family bathroom. You know what Frank's like."
"Nein, not that." Urs shook his head, knowing that Kurt hated that particular chore most of all, particularly if Frank had been the last one in there, leaving it like a bombsite a vast majority of the time. No, there was another way to punish Kurt for what he'd said to Franky. "I know we've both accepted your apology for not tidying your room and if Frank's left the bathroom in mess he'll be the one to clean it up. Your punishment for saying what you did is no singing lessons for a week."
"A week?! But I've got......."
"Want to make it two weeks?" Urs asked, knowing that Kurt had an important vocal test in just over a month's time and needed a little more tuition.
"You know how important......."
"Three weeks?"
"No Papi. Sorry Papi." Kurt replied after gulping and lowering his eyes.
"Good. Now get downstairs and apologise to your mother."
Kurt nodded, laid his pen down and ran downstairs to Franky's office with Urs following close behind once he'd checked the bathroom. He heard him take a deep breath before knocking on the door and nervously crossing the threshold.
"I'm sorry for saying I hated you, Mami." Kurt sniffed before being pulled into his mother's arms. "I didn't mean it."
"I know you didn't, Kurt and I accept your apology. I know Papi's warned you what he will do if he ever hears that word again. You do still want a career in music, don't you?"
"Yes Mami. More than anything."
"Good. Keep that in mind when you open your mouth. You are developing a wonderful voice, Kurt. I would hate to think that you missed a chance to go to the London College of Music because of something you said to me. Do you understand me?"
"Yes, Mami. That would hurt you even more."
"Good. Have you caught up with your homework yet?"
"No. It's a lot harder using textbooks rather than the pc."
"Well that's one lesson learned at least. Get back to it then, but don't stay up too late and think yourself lucky some of your teachers have given you extra time."
Urs watched Kurt fly upstairs, taking them two at a time and wiping his eyes as he went. He turned back to look at Franky and furrowed his brow when he saw that she was shaking her head at him.
"What? You think I was too harsh on him?"
"No." Franky tutted. "You. Stop pouting because he might not be a Tenor when he's older. He can't help it if he turns out to be a Baritone once his voice breaks. Do we need to have yet another word with Frank?" She raising her eyes to the ceiling while Urs emitted a loud 'Pfft' and grumbled something under his breath.
"Nein, looks like he's done what I told him to do before we left."
"Good. Why don't you go for a ride to get over your erm......frustration about what didn't happen in Paris?"
Chuckling and watching her face flush bright red, Urs blew out a quick raspberry at Franky then moved to attend to unpacking their cases in the laundry room. That job done, knowing that Franky would be a while and Saskia was out on a walk with the rest of the children and 'Alondra', he decided to go for his first solo ride on his birthday gift from Franky. He changed into his leathers quickly and was soon roaring down the drive, looking forward to the day Franky would ride her 'Fire Harley' beside his midnight and candy cobalt blue, ice designed Harley Davidson CVO Softail Convertible, otherwise known as the 'Ice Harley', through the streets of Paris.

Chapter 128 - Mother Bear
"You leave my friend alone you horrid woman!" Urs heard Serena yelling at the smirking woman who stood in the doorway of the new jewellery store where he'd taken Serena, Franky and Teresa in the hope of buying a friendship necklace for the two girls.
How Franky was keeping her temper under control he didn't know. He knew she was angry, the tight pursed lips and wide eyes told him so and he felt exactly the same. They'd hadn't been in the shop for more than ten minutes when the assistant had approached and asked them to leave. Of course they'd asked why and said assistant had replied the manager was closing the shop because a celebrity was on her way and wished to do some shopping in private. Urs had immediately approached the manager and had asked him to give them a few more minutes since the girls had finally found something they liked only to be told no, the man himself giving a firm nod toward a burly man who stood looking into one of the cases. The manager raising his eyebrows and smirking while he informed Urs that the powerfully built man wasn't a customer but the store's security guard.
Not wanting to cause a scene or get involved in struggle with the man, especially in front of Tessa and Serena, Urs had returned to Franky and insisted they leave. After looking at him like he was crazy, she'd reluctantly nodded in agreement following a look at the guar and had gone to talk to the girls. They'd both looked at each other, then at Franky and Urs and finally to the security guard before nodding sadly.
Knowing that Tessa tired easily, Urs had lifted into his arms and gently wiped away the tear that had escaped from her right eye. Gently reassuring the girl who'd grown no more than an inch since they'd first met and still weighed less than Ciara did at eighteen months old that they would go somewhere else and probably find something better. He didn't care how long it took, they had all day and agreeing to treat Serena and Tessa to pizza if they hadn't found anything by lunchtime.
"It's all right Mr B. What we chose was the nicest thing they had but we didn't really like it did we, Seri?"
"No Tess." Serena shook her head, smiling just like Franky did.
However, none of the manager's demands or insinunations had brought Franky's anger to boiling point. No. The woman who entered just as they were leaving was who'd pushed the buttons that ignited the rage in Franky.
"Go on. Get your ugly brat and that.........whatever it is......away from decent people like me and my Katy."
"Decent people?! Decent people?! Don't make me laugh Rhoda Baker. Yes, Katy is a beautiful young woman on the outside at least, but inside.......Pfft! If anyone is ugly around here it's her and you! God forbid that she should become a mother one day and have a child with a disfigurement or medical condition. I have no doubt whatsoever both of you will be ashamed to admit it or be seen with that child in public for that matter. People like you make me sick!" Franky had yelled back at Katy Baker's mother, Urs noticing that she had her fists balled up and hearing her take a deep breath as she turned away from the door.
"You not going to do something about her?" Rhoda asked, her eyes flaming at Urs.
"Nein. Not when I agree with her no. She's more of a lady than you or your daughter will ever be." He stated firmly, noticing that the door was in the process of being closed and firmly locked. A look through the window allowed him to see the security guard rolling his eyes backwards and shaking his head.
"Sorry honey."
"What for?"
"Embarrassing you like that. I should have just ignored her and walked away." Franky replied, her attention on Serena who'd tugged at her jacket sleeve. "What is it sweetheart?"
"I don't think Katy's that pretty. Stephanie's much better looking, even without all that make-up."
"You have a right to your opinion Serena, but looks are not what matter."
"I know that Mami. Honestly. I do listen you know? I mean Sage scared me a little bit when I first met her but she's nice inside. She even cried when we were watching 'Robin Hood' the other day. You know when Robin tells Lady Marian he loves her? I didn't dare put the 'Hunchback of Notre Dame' on after that."
"I know. I saw her." Franky smiled then turned back to Urs and apologised again for dealing with Serena first.
"Stop apologising. You haven't done anything wrong." He shook his head, his spare arm slipping around her waist, pulling her close and giving her a firm kiss on the lips.
"Ewwwwww! Gross Mr B. You two are worse than my mum and dad." Tessa grumbled, turning her disgusted looking face away from the couple, making Urs and Franky laugh.
"I know, Tessa. They say I won't be saying that in few years each time me or one of the others complains." Serena rolled her eyes and heard her best friend emit a loud 'Pfft' in reply.
"I mean it. You didn't do anything wrong."
"Yes I did, honey." Franky sighed as the foursome began to walk away from the shop. "We've taught the children to ignore what people say about them, turn the other cheek and walk away. What I just did was hypocritical."
"Perhaps a little. Had Rhoda said what she did about you I'm know you would have, but she attacked your child and the rules are different in that respect. Rather like........A bear."
"A bear?"
"Sure. You see a single bear it will usually turn and walk away. A bear with cubs on the other hand........Well, then you're in trouble. It will do all it can to defend those cubs. That's all you did in my opinion. Nothing to be ashamed of."
"Oh so I'm a mother bear now?"
"You've been one since the day Frank was born......dummyhead."
Franky's eyes widened for a second or two then she smiled and nodded at Urs's comment. The journey continued with Franky asking him if he'd forgotten about the 'Robin Hood' themed party he wanted to throw. Him replying that he hadn't forgotten at all, reminding her how busy their lives were and that he was thinking of holding it after Christmas this year, current and last minute Il Divo commitments permitting as usual. To which she smiled and nodded.
A few moments later, they entered a jewellery store that they'd both used many times before and were welcomed warmly. Urs gently set Tessa down and watched her and Serena head towards the cabinets where the children's jewellery was displayed. It took them a little longer than usual to make their selections due to the fact there was so much they liked. By the time they left with a thirty-eight centimetre silver chain for Tessa and a matching forty-five centimetre chain for Serena, several customers had entered and had left again after being served. Before leaving the shop themselves, the two girls asked if they could put the jewellery on and they were soon admiring the little cube shaped charms the assistant had prepared for them. Both charms bearing their names on one side and the words 'Best Friends' on the other.
A check of his watch informed Urs that it was approaching lunchtime so he decided to take the girls for pizza even though they had found what they wanted. They found a restaurant a few metres down on the opposite side of the road and were soon being waited upon. Their waitress looking at Tessa with a stunned expression on her face and asking if she was sure she could manage to eat a nine inch seafood pizza. Tessa rolling her eyes backwards before replying that she was sure, obviously fed up with hearing the question if the headshake she gave was anything to go by.
Just as they were being served, Urs looked to his left and returned the smile Sage gave him after taking a few seconds to recognise her. Though no-one had judged her when Jonathon had introduced her to the rest of Il Divo and their families, he noticed that her hair was now back to its original colour, that she'd removed the lip and septum piercings and her ears now sported two pairs of ear-rings each rather than seven. The ones near the ear canal were still there as were the ones at the tops of her ears.
However, none of those things were what made Urs pay much attention to her in the first place. No. The ring she was proudly showing to the three women who sat opposite her was what caught his eye more than anything. He and Franky had seen it just days before, when they'd congratulated the newly engaged couple. They both thought the eighteen carat white gold ring with diamonds and sapphires set in the organic 'branches' that formed the inner part of the ring was unusual, but it suited Sage perfectly.
Their meal finished, the group left the restaurant after making use of the bathroom facilities, Urs once again carrying Tessa and all of them chatting excitedly until they reached the shop they'd been asked to leave. Katy Baker coming out of the store and looking Serena up and down and huffing out her breath before turning her attention to Tessa.
"What are you looking at freak?" Katy sneered then smiled at her mother.
"Nothing much, looking at you. After all, ugly is as ugly does." Tessa shrugged in reply.
Biting hard on their bottom lips, Urs and Franky looked at each other when they heard Katy screetch loudly as they continued the journey back to the car. Neither of them dared to laugh until the girls were settled in their seats and listening to music on their earphones and only did so quietly. Once back at home, the girls headed to the playroom and quickly became engrossed in helping Ciara tattoo her brothers with the airbrush set he and Franky had bought them a couple of weeks ago.
That left Urs free to make for the kitchen while Franky headed for her office where he joined her once he'd made a much needed coffee. Sitting side-by-side, they soon settled down to going through Frank's invite list and printing off the cards. They were almost finished when Frank knocked on the open door and crossed the threshold, twiddling the small gold stud in his left ear.
"I've decided what I would like for my birthday." He informed, tapping at the tribal design temporary tattoo on his left bicep and smiling broadly.
"Oh do you now? Well you can't. You can't have a tattoo until you're sixteen and then only with parental consent. You'll have to wait until your eighteen if you really want one. There are other things to take into consideration too, like the fact it's going to be there for a life..........You little!......Urgh!" Urs growled and shook his head when he spotted that Frank's serious look had dropped and he was now roaring with laughter along with his mother.
"Not.....my.....fault.....you are so.....so easy to wind up Papi." Frank replied once he'd got some control over himself.
"You are worse than your mother young man."
"I know. She's a brilliant teacher."
"Maybe I am Frank. Leave your poor father alone now. Have you cleaned your piercing this morning?"
"Erm......No Mami."
"Francis Toni Buhler, I reminded you about it before we left, didn't I? You asked to have it done and said you would take proper care of it. Do you want me to baby you and do it for you.........yet again?"
"No Mami. I'm nearly eleven, I can do it."
"Then get and do it." Franky instructed firmly, pointing sharply towards the door and smiling once Frank had scurried out of the room. "What's wrong with you?"
"Oh nothing really. The past few years just seem to have flown by without me noticing. I can hardly believe Frank starts senior school in a few weeks, never mind the fact we've been married almost twelve years. It doesn't seem like five minutes since I first held him in my arms."
"Hmmmn. No it doesn't. Before we know it, they'll all be adults with children of their own."
"I can't wait for the day the last of them leaves."
"Urs!"
"What? I didn't mean it like that. They can stay as long as they like." Urs informed, dropping the serious look from his features as he strode towards the office door and locked it. "I meant in other ways." He continued, walking quickly back to he seat and gently pulling Franky into his lap. "I meant so that I can kiss you whenever and wherever I want without hearing 'Ewwwww Gross', Mother Bear." He informed, grinning before engaging Franky in some very passionate kissing, the two of them only breaking apart when they heard the door handle rattling and Ciara's voice on the other side.
"Jordi, come away. The door's locked and you know what that means!"
"Yeah! Mami and Papi are doing the kissyface thing. Ewwww! Gross!" Came Jordi's response followed by a loud gagging sound that made both Franky and Urs crack up laughing.

Chapter 129 - Golly What A Day
Already wearing his 'Robin Hood' costume, Urs smiled broadly as he looked around the Music/Dance room, all the time thinking what an amazing job the party organisers had done of making the space look like an old castle. Sturdy wooden tables were laden down with all sorts of wonderful looking food. Fake tapestry's had been hung over his awards and the painting of Franky. Another table stood in the farthest corner and he strode towards it to admire the tree stump cake yet again. He grinned then laughed after looking at the candy tube wrapped in 'Wanted' posters, then adjusted the position of two of the small hesian favour pouches to back upright. He glanced over his shoulder, saw no-one around and moved his finger towards the cake.
"Don't you dare Urs Buhler!" Franky's yell stopped him and he turned round to face her.
"I wasn't going to." He shrugged, watching her walk into the room dressed as Lady Marian and coughing to keep his composure.
Even though the dress was full-length and the hem skimmed the ground, she looked absolutely stunning in the purple velour gown and matching headdress. If their guests weren't due to begin arriving any minute he would have had his wicked way with her right there on the parquet.
"I don't know. Almost fifty years old and still such a child at times. Still such a bad liar too. You leave that cake alone, no-one's going to pinch your arrow." Franky laughed, tapping the end of his nose once she was in his arms.
"They'd better not neither. It's mine." Urs replied childishly then giggled along with Franky.
"Hmmn. What were you laughing at before I came in?"
"Just remembering David's reaction after I'd given him the invite."
"Oh. That."
"Something wrong, angel?"
"Well........He's convinced Lauren is pregnant again, though she says she's not. They agreed no more after Reegan arrived and she's done six tests already, all negative. She had an appointment with her doctor this morning, determined to make David see that she isn't pregnant, said she'd call me to let me know either way but hasn't done so yet. I just don't want any tension between them to spoil what you've waited so long to hold."
"Okay. He must have some reason to think she is pregnant again though."
"The fact that she hasn't had a period in six months. I mean she's nowhere near menopausal yet, perhaps it's just a..........I don't know.......a temporary hiccup. I've heard and read that it can happen."
"Wish it would in your case." Urs replied, grinning quickly until he saw Franky looking at him seriously. "Sorry. Well if she is and she's that far gone, she'd be show........Then again maybe not. They'll sort it out between them. Don't worry so much angel."
"I've tried not to all day, I just wish she'd call me and let me know one way or the other. You know what she's like, if I'm ill she thinks she has a right to know asap, but if she's ill I don't get to know until a day or two later. Do you have any idea how frustrating that is?"
"Ja, I do." Urs nodded, pulling Franky close and holding there for a few minutes while he listened to her breathing away her worries over her best friend.
"Well, at least your costume fits better than the last one you wore." She smiled, looking him up and down as she pulled back.
"M'Lady likes?"
"No. M'Lady loves. I just can't figure out how you're going to get revenge on David."
Laughing, Urs stepped back towards her and whispered that he'd followed David into a costume hire shop a few days ago but had remained out of his sight while he tried a couple on. He hadn't shown himself until the American had made his choice and made arrangements to pick the costume up. Once he'd left, he'd had a word with the shop assistant and asked her if she could see her way clear to making sure the bottoms were one size smaller than David actually required. With her owning the place and being an Uber, she'd agreed, but only after he'd briefly explained why he wanted her to do so.
"He's going to.........If he ever finds out."
"Considering there's only me, you and Mrs Talbot that know.........I'm not worried. Are the children ready yet?"
"Almost. Saskia was just having a little trouble with Jordi when I left our room. I went to see if she needed me to take over, but she'd sorted him out before I even opened the door. I can't wait for you to see them, they look so......cute." Franky replied, turning away from Urs only for him to stop her leaving by grabbing hold of her hand. "Something wrong, honey?"
"Ja. I'm sorry for all the times I took it out of you when I had to postpone these plans."
"That's in the past, leave it there. Okay?"
"Okay."
"Besides. The children are old enough to enjoy it now and we won't have to worry about having to deal with children that scream when we try to put them to bed. Will we?"
"Nein. And we can always have lie-in tomorrow. Can't we?"
"Of course we can." Franky replied, giving him a flirty smile just before the children came into the room, the boys dressed as smaller versions of himself, the girls as smaller versions of their mother and Saskia dressed as a serving wench, the every ready camera held in her hands. "You're to have some fun as well tonight. I'm having that camera at some point and for a long while too."
"Yes, M'Lady." Saskia courtsied, giggling along with Franky as they started to organise the family for photographs.
Ciara agreeing to have her picture taken but refusing to smile broadly as she usually did when the camera wasn't on her. Saskia had barely finished, when they heard the gate buzzer go and watched Frank, Kurt and Jordi fly out of the room to see who was arriving first. Frank checked the screen and lifted Jordi up a little so that he could press the button to open the gates while Kurt opened the door for Tessa and her parents.
"Mr B, do you think Mr Seb will let me be his companion for little while tonight?" Tessa asked, looking at Urs wide-eyed and smiling from her position in her father's arms.
"I'm sure he wouldn't mind." Urs winked in reply as the gate buzzer went again. "I'll see what I can do to help you out."
Tessa was gently lowered to the floor then went skipping through the house after she'd smiled at Frank, Kurt and Jordi, Urs knowing that she would be going to find the girls she considered her sisters. He watched her go then turned his attention back to her parents, James and Nicole, who'd turned up dressed as peasants. The couple thanking him once again for taking care of Tessa while they were in Italy dealing with James's father, who'd been involved in a motorbike accident.
"Stop it! It wasn't a problem. How's your father doing James?"
"Oh fine. Having a great time now he's got Vedette to look after him. I still don't know what the silly old fool was thinking. I mean who on earth tries to learn to ride a motorbike for the first time at seventy-six? Don't think he'll be doing that again in a hurry. Not if wants me or Vedette to deal with he won't anyway."
"Yeah, like you'd be able to stop him. You're just like him, you're still bruised from having a go on Austin's skateboard." Nicole retorted playfully as the couple walked away and the front door was open again.
Urs turned to see who had arrived and somehow managed to keep the smirk off his face when he saw David dressed as 'Little John', fidgetting uncomfortably holding Lauren's hand and attempting to smile. Stephanie dressed like a lady of the time, just like her mother. Lauren's dress a deep blue, Stephanie's a dark green. Jefferson and Reegan both wearing Lincoln green Merry men outfits.
"Still not quite over the shock?" Urs asked, watching the youngsters head towards the lounge, wondering if Reegan would ever grow out of her tomboy ways.
"Of you throwing a party like this? No buddy." David shook his head. "I really thought I was seeing things when that invite arrived. You look......all right. Where's Franky? I have an apology to make."
"Right here, David." Franky's voice replied and Urs turned to watch her enter the hallway. "What apology? You haven't done anything wrong to me."
"No maybe not. But I'm the reason Lauren didn't call you once she'd been to see her doctor. She's not pregnant, he reckons its just a hiccup in her cycle, but he's done a blood test to make sure everything's all right otherwise. We kinda spent the afternoon making up after I'd apologised and by the time we woke up it was time to get ready for the party. Everything's entirely my fault. Sorry."
"It's okay. I'm just glad you got it all sorted before the party." Franky replied, giving Lauren a stern look and a headshake while she and David hugged.
"I know. We forgot our mobiles too." Lauren shrugged then turned her head to see where Stephanie, Jefferson and Reegan were, smiling when she spotted them with her best friend's children and Tessa.
"Well he's wearing the right costume." Urs informed quietly, watching David and Lauren head further into the house.
"Urs! Behave yourself." Franky giggled in response. "Are you sure you said only one size smaller, 'cos if he's not careful he's going to split the hose."
"Of course I am."
Next to request permission to enter was Sebastien and his family and he was wearing a broad smile as he crossed the threshold, wearing a similar costume to Urs with a lute tucked under one arm, so obviously he'd come as Allen-a-Dale. Emma's wore a dress of light blue crushed panné with a fancy bodice inset panel and puff sleeves, blue fitted sleeves slashed at the elbow to reveal red underlsleeves, a red waist sash, and a matching headpiece with an attached sheer veil.
"Don't look at me like that Urs." Emma sighed, catching the wide-eyed look he gave her. "I told Seb it was far too fancy but he insisted and you know what I'm like when he insists. I can't say no."
"Only the best for you mon amour." Sebastien teased, placing a quick kiss on Emma's cheek before watching their brood head towards the lounge, all of them dressed as poor villagers, both Marie and Monique's dresses finishing well above their ankles, just like Eden's trousers, the hems of all the items ragged.
"Eden! Stop it!" Tessa's loud yell suddenly filled the air and everyone moved to see why she was shouting.
They looked at each other then fell into a quick fit of giggles when they saw the little boy trying to kiss Tessa and her holding him off, saying that kissing was gross.
"Non it's not cherie. My parents wouldn't spend so much time doing it if it was." Eden retorted with a smile.
"He's quite taken with her isn't he?" Franky asked, laughing and shaking her head.
"Oui Franky. Hasn't stopped talking about her since the day they met. Though I suspect she has her eyes on someone a little more mature." Sebastien replied, grinning widely.
"Watch it Izambard. Like you a lot she might do, but you are not everyone's cup of tea." Emma warned playfully.
"As long as I am yours cherie, that's all I care about."
Urs and Franky laughed at the couple then Urs repeated what Tessa had asked of him on her arrival, watching the smile grow broader once he'd finished.
"So it seems I will have two beautiful ladies to keep me company tonight. Who am I to complain?" Sebastien shrugged as he and a head shaking Emma made their way into the lounge, Sebastien immediately squatting and lifting Tessa into his arms, telling her how beautiful she looked and that it was no wonder Eden was trying to kiss her, her little face blushing bright red.
A few neighbourhood friends and Franky's relations arrived shortly after, variously dressed as innkeeper and his wife, tax collectors, poachers and a blacksmith and other such poor villagers. They were followed by Gabriel and his family who entered just in front of Michael and Byron. Gabriel and Christie watched their children head for the lounge after hugging Franky hello and only then did Gabriel grumble that he still felt like a woman due to the fact he'd come as Friar Tuck.
"Oh stop complaining Gabe. You look fine. You refused to wear anything that involved hose so that didn't leave much else.......Did it?" Christie asked shaking her head in an exasperated fashion.
"No. Like I want my mea...."
"Gabriel!"
"My bits and pieces smooshed into those things. No thank you! Sorry sugar." Gabriel blushed and firmly kissed the nun who'd told him off.
Urs and Franky watched the couple join the rest of their guests then turned their attention to Michael and Byron, the pair of them dressed as rather flamboyant versions of Will Scarlett, their tunics red rather than green.
"You'd think we'd done this on purpose wouldn't you?" Michael question, removing his hat and fiddling with the feather when Franky nodded in reply. "Well we didn't. We went to different places and refused to tell each other who we were coming as. You should have seen our faces when we realised what we done."
"Don't worry about it. You two have always been on the same wavelength." Franky shook her head and gently pushed the two men towards the lounge.
"See. I told you it would be all right didn't I? I don't know why you made such a fuss." Byron tutted before he entered the lounge.
"It's getting rather full in there." Franky informed once she was back at Urs's side. "This is going to be a fantastic party."
"Hmmn." Urs sighed after checking his watch.
"Stop it. He said they're coming, it doesn't matter if they're a little bit late."
"I know. I should be used to it by now, but why does it always have to be him?"
"Oh honey. You know how they like to wind you up and it's not always Carlos that's late. Is it?" Franky questioned, shaking her head just like Christie had done at Gabriel.
"Nein." Urs replied, moving to see who'd pressed the button this time and rolling his eyes when he saw the Spaniard's face on the screen. "He doesn't look like he's in party mode." He informed, moving to open the door and watching as the family clambered out of the car, Barbara-Jean paying particular attention to Marco despite his protestations that he didn't need any help, quickly making his way over to his father, his right arm in a sling.
"Lo siento we are late. Not my fault for once." Carlos informed, shaking his head at Marco. "I swear this boy will be the death of me one day."
"What's he done?"
"Fractured his collarbone Franky. Trying to rollerblade. That I am not so worried about. The fact he bumped his head in the fall has me more concerned than that. If I have tell him one more time about wearing the paddings and helmet I will throw those things in the trash."
"Carlos, stop worrying. The doctor told you it was just a minor bump, nothing to be too concerned about. Didn't he?"
"Si querida." Carlos nodded, watching Carina and Marco head for the lounge. Carina dressed as serving girl, Marco as a guard. Shy little Reina, standing by her mother's side, her eyes wide in amazement.
"Well now the 'Sheriff' has arrived, I guess we're ready to get this party started."
"Too late buddy. It's all ready started." David informed, slapping Urs on the back and nodding towards the lounge.
Urs turned his head in that direction and saw that almost everyone they'd invited was there and they wer already having fun, drinking and chatting, the children playing chase around the room. The only invitees not in attendance, Simon because he was far too busy putting a new show together, Jonathon and Sage because they were in Ireland, visiting Sage's family. Himself and Franky loved every minute of what they could see but knew there was more fun to come.
"Something wrong Carlos?" They heard David questioning behind them and glanced at each other.
"Si. Aren't you uncomfortable in those? They look like they fit a little too.......snug."
"They do a bit. Think I'm gonna have to hit the gym and lay off Lauren's baking for a while, despite the fact the scales don't say that I've put that much weight on. A pound or two maybe, but not enough to make them fit so tight, they were fine when I tried them on in the shop."
Smirking at each other, Urs and Franky led the way into the Music/Dance room so that the party could begin properly. Everyone in attendance looked around the room in awe at how it appeared and several spent a few minutes chatting between themselves, all saying what a wonderful job had been made of making the space look much older than it actually was. Everyone spent the next hour or so dancing then got the children engaged in playing some games. Eden proved to be a very good shot with the toy bow and arrows, missing the centre of the target by mere millimetres but winning the friendly contest, though he did pout when Tessa refused to kiss his cheek to begin with. However, a quick reminder from her parents that she'd promised no matter who won soon changed her mind and the kiss she gave Eden was lightening quick, not that he cared if the grin he wore was anything to go by.
The children insisted that all the adult males had to have a go at archery too and, after some reluctant headshakes, they were soon taking it in turns to hit the target or rather trying to. Gabriel's shot fell to the ground without coming close to hitting the piece of plastic, both Michael and Byron's shots hit home but only just, David's hit well wide of the right side, Sebastien's sucker stuck to the wall just to left of David's. The other men took their turns and several actually hit what they were aiming for, James coming closest to the bullseye as Carlos stepped forward.
Silence reigned in the room as the Spaniard took careful aim and fired his arrow, the whole crowd whooping when it smacked onto the plastic, almost dead centre. Slightly stunned by what he'd witnessed, Urs looked at Franky and threw his hand towards the target, his eyes questioning how he could beat that only to receive a shrug in response. Taking a deep breath, he took the bow and arrow from the slightly smug looking Carlos and took aim. He closed his eyes briefly then let the arrow fly and almost cursed when it hit home, just about where Eden's had done.
"It's not fair." He pouted playfully, watching Carlos receive his reward from Barbara-Jean.
"Don't worry honey. You'll get your 'reward' later." Franky replied, giving him a flirty look as she headed towards Saskia to retrieve the camera so that she could engage the children in another game.
This time it was 'Tax Collecting' and Urs was soon helping his allocated group of children find the chocolate coins Saskia had hidden around the room. His team beating Carlos's by three coins after over half an hour's searching. Most of the children not unwrapping the coins until they'd eaten the party food, only Eden, Marie, Monique, Tess and Marco doing so but still managing to eat what they'd selected from tables and going back for seconds.
Before he knew it, it was approaching midnight and those with very young children were beginning to head for home, thanking Urs and Franky for a wonderful time and for the invite before they headed out of the door, their children holding tight to their party favour bags, several yawning widely. Slowly everyone drifted out of the house, David and Lauren leaving last of all. The tall American turning to speak to Urs at the front door.
"Great party buddy. A million times better than I expected. I've just got to get home and get these darned things off. God knows how women wear such things all day."
Smiling and nodding, Urs and Franky waved the couple off and once the front door was closed for the final time, they immediately cracked up laughing. Urs ecstatic that he'd finally got revenge on David after such a long wait. Still giggling, he followed Franky back to the hall and helped her tidy up a little while Saskia dealt with the happily tired children. She came back down to help once she had them all settled, but seemed to sense that her employers wanted to be left alone and quickly retreated to her room.
Secure in the knowledge that they wouldn't be disturbed, Urs stepped towards where Franky stood dumping used paper plates, etc into a trash bag, the hose he wore becoming tighter and tighter with each stride until he stood before her feeling very uncomfortable.
"Leave that M'Lady." He instructed, taking the bag from her hand and dropping in nonchalantly to the floor.
"Ah! M'Lord has come to claim his reward has he?" Franky asked once his arms were around her waist and her were around his neck. "It certainly feels like he has."
"You betcha I have." Urs chuckled, then quickly engaged his mouth with hers, the two of them quickly losing all control and dropping to the floor, naked.
With Franky on her back, Urs slowly slipped inside her and smiled when he heard the long, slow moan pass escape from her mouth. He'd heard it so many times over the years and it still excited him. Kissing each other again, he moved his hips slowly, taking her to one orgasm, then another and third before he would allow her to push him onto his back.
She straddled him quickly, her hips bringing him closer and closer to the edge with each stroke. Her mouth placing featherlight, teasing kisses all over his torso, driving him wild, his body shuddering and almost falling into oblivion. He didn't know how, but he managed not to and quickly flipped Franky over again and moved to kneel between her legs, taking his time to carress them before hooking them over his hips, slowly pushing his manhood deep inside and pulling her up into an embrace. His mouth circling and nipping at the hard pink buds, making her moan his name over and over again. Her fingers curled tight in his hair, her body keeping perfect pace with his thrusts until he couldn't hold back any longer, both of them climaxing together with long, loud cries of each others names. Breathless, they remained locked together for a few minutes, looking into each other's eyes and sharing small tender kisses until they collapsed, exhausted onto the parquet.
Their breaths somewhat recovered, the two of them gathered up their costumes and ran up to the room, Urs closing the bedroom door just as one further down the hallway opened. The occupant obviously in need of the bathroom. They tossed the costumes onto a chair and took a look at the clock before settling down to sleep as the clock ticked over to 3:37am.
Everyone slept in the following morning, but Urs and Franky were the first awake thanks to David calling at 11:12am.
"Well done buddy. You got me good. I really thought you'd forgotten about my little Halloween costume prank."
"You wish I had. I told you I'd get you back, you just wouldn't know where or when." Urs replied chuckling then hanging up the phone so that he could make love to Franky again.

Sounds like a fun party and finally Urs got his own on David..

The kids sound very happy and that Eden and Tessa sound so cute together ..
I am still wondering about how Sylvie meets the son of the guy that killed Jaime? I know that is down the road a ways but always have wondered about that..

More JJ I wish all the chapters ended with Franky and Urs intimate..

Chapter 130 - Theft Or Not?
'Emasculated'. The word rang around his head as he stood in the hotel lobby watching Franky talk to the hotel's manager, arms folded across his chest and an angry expression on his face. Was that really what she thought'd she'd done to him by asking him to let her deal with what had happened by herself? If it was, it was definitely the stupidist idea she'd ever had. She spoke the language fluently and certainly didn't need him to sort things out for her. True, he'd defend her to his dying breath but he certainly didn't feel emasculated.
Seeing that she had concluded her business, Urs dropped his arms after checking the time and waited patiently for her to walk over to him. He offered his hand and felt his eyes fly wide when Franky just looked at it and headed out of the hotel to the waiting car.
"Don't be like that with me angel." He huffed, dropping down hard next to her and attempting to take hold of her hand.
"What? Huffy and in a bad mood? What the hell do you expect me to do after what you called me? I am not stupid Urs and if you hadn't spilled coffee all over the bed you wouldn't have had to call housekeeping up to change it, so none of this would be happening would it?"
"So I'm to blame am I?"
"Of course you are."
"And you have no part in it. How many times do I have to tell you not to leave such valuable items on the nightstand while you shower? I don't even know why you take them off to shower or bathe."
"ONCE A WEEK, URS! ONCE A GOD-DAMNED WEEK! So the lotions and scrubs I use don't get into all the nooks and crannies. I've done it several times before and nothing like this has ever happened. I can see your logic. I really can. Can't you see it could be an accident and you're making a mountain out of a molehill? Accusing someone of theft without any clear evidence and throwing your weight around."
"I was NOT throwing my weight around."
"Really?! Well it certainly looked that way considering how you demanded that Monsieur Thibideaux call the police."
"Pfft!" Urs huffed, folding his arms back over his chest and looking back towards the hotel's entrance to watch his bandmates and their wives make their way into the limo. "That's the trouble with you. You're too soft hearted."
"Maybe I am, but sometimes you are too hard hearted. Just leave it alone for now, you know I'm.......You know what time of the month it is."
"You two all right?" David asked as he sat down next to Lauren.
"Fine!" Urs and Franky replied together, their voices terse.
"Oui of course you are. That's why we could hear raised voices outside." Sebastien nodded, taking a seat next to Emma.
Urs heard Franky sniff beside him and turned his head but didn't really pay her much attention other than to notice she had her left hand covering her eyes. Her naked, void of rings hand. He huffed turned his head forward again and took a deep breath, intent on telling everyone why they were angry with each other only to hear Lauren beat him to it.
"Franky! Where are you're rings?" She asked, reaching forward and moving Franky's hand down.
"They've been stolen from our room." Urs informed with a sharp nod. "And not just the ones she usually wears on her left hand, the others too."
"They're missing." Franky hissed, glaring at him sharply. "He might think they've been stolen, but I'm pretty sure they haven't. Anyway, when he discovers they're not where I left them, he storms downstairs and starts throwing accusations around left, right and centre instead of handling things calmly."
"What happened? How have they gone missing?" Barbara-Jean asked, grimacing slightly.
"I took them off and left them on the nightstand while I had a shower. He comes back up from the gym, pours himself a coffee and spills it over himself and the bed, so he calls housekeeping. They arrive, change the bedding and that's when the rings disappear. He certainly couldn't find them when I asked him to pass me them and we searched the room twice. He immediately thinks one of the chambermaids has stolen them and tries to stop me dealing with the situation. Demanding the manager call the police until I shove him away from the poor man and ask him to let me deal with it since it's my jewellery that's missing. He didn't even give Monsieur Thibideaux chance to explain that he would have the trolleys checked first to see if they could be found. Just stood there...........demanding he call the Gendamarie."
"No wonder she is mad at you amigo. It's possible what Franky says happened has happened. You should at least give them chance to see if they can be found."
"So Franky's right yet again?" Urs grumbled under his breath.
"What was that?"
"You heard me."
"You're damn right I did. Urgh! Sorry guys, just leave me alone until we get to the venue. Hopefully I will have calmed down by then." Franky hissed in response, turning sideways in her seat, closing her eyes and taking some deep breaths.
"Buhler, you are an ass." David informed with a headshake as everyone started to move up to the other end of the limo, making themselves comfortable behind the driver and chatting jovially, the women shooting daggers at Urs once in while.
Suddenly feeling like a leper, Urs dropped his arms again and turned to look at Franky, hoping that she would talk to him. He sighed heavily when he saw that she still had her eyes closed and so wanted to wipe away the tear that had made its escape from her left eye but she beat him to it. She sniffed again and he felt very guilty for upsetting her even more by reacting the way he had. She was distraught that the rings had disappeared and he'd made it ten times worse by blaming her and reacting as he had.
"You asshole!" He huffed, wanting to ask Pierre to stop the limo, turn it around and head back to the hotel so that he could help with the search.
However, he knew he couldn't do that because Il Divo had been nominated for a new European Music Award for Outstanding Contribution To Music and had agreed to attend, despite the fact they were in the middle of recording their latest album. The event was being hosted in Paris and Urs was thinking they didn't have much of a chance of winning considering bigger stars were also in the running. He looked at Franky again, amazed that she still looked so good as she approached her mid-forties. The beautiful taupe coloured evening gown with a round draping neckline befitting her age. He didn't care that the gathered on one shoulder dress with its jewel incrusted piece, which then draped down the back with another two jewel squares, was considered more suitable for a much younger woman. She looked stunning, despite being furious with him, just like she'd stepped out of an Hollywood movie. The only thing that spoiled the look was the missing rings and they'd still be on her fingers if he'd agreed to them staying at the Paris house. He was really regretting his decision not to go there now, he just hadn't seen the sense of opening the place up for a few hours. It made much more sense to stay at a hotel closer to the venue, but boy was he beginning to regret that decision now. God alone knew what stories would appear in the press if Franky was photographed, ringless, especially those on her left hand.
Feeling the limo begin to slow, Urs looked out of the window and cursed profusely in his native tongue when he realised he wouldn't have time to talk to Franky because they'd arrived at the venue. It hadn't taken him long to figure out that he'd reacted the way he had because she'd been so upset and he certainly shouldn't have called her stupid for leaving them where she had. She had done it plenty of times before without anyone so much as touching them, whether he was there or not. He knew he wouldn't have time to apologise before they left the limo and hoped he could do so before the ceremony started. He didn't want to sit by her side with so much almost tangible tension between them. Walking the red carpet in that condition was going to be hard enough.
The limo pulled to a stop and Urs looked at Franky one final time to see that she had opened her eyes and had set a smile on her face. He returned her smile, left the vehicle once Pierre had opened the door and offered her his hand and smiled once again when she took it. Camera's immediately began to flash, but this time no-one attempted to stop them for a brief interview. With the rest of Il Divo following behind, they made their way inside and Urs immediately looked around, quickly spotting somewhere he could talk to Franky in private. He looked at his brothers and sisters, gave them a quick indication of where he was going with flick of his head and watched them nod as he pulled Franky in the direction of a closed onsessions stand.
"I'm sorry I reacted the way I did angel." He sighed, his arms around Franky's waist. "I know full well why you take your rings off, it's not a stupid thing to do like I said it was. The last thing you are is stupid. It was mostly my fault. Maybe you're right and they are just missing. I hope so anyway. And I should have given Monsieur Thibideaux the chance you have, instead of throwing my weight around like I did. I'm sorry about embarrassing you like that. And in no way, shape or form did I feel emasculated. I should know by now that you don't need me to fight your battles or deal with any problems. You're perfectly capable of doing that yourself."
"Yes you should. It's all right and I accept your apology." Franky replied after taking a deep breath. "I know you reacted the way you did because you hate seeing me so upset, but what hurt the most was what you called me. That's what really cut me, Urs."
"I know. I'm sorry I said that. Still haven't quite learned to engage my brain before opening my mouth.........Have I?"
"No, not quite and to be honest I don't care if you ever do. I love you Urs, faults and all."
"I know you do." Urs sighed, pulling Franky close, her arms flying around his waist, his hands gliding up to the back of her head and holding her there for a moment or two. "And I love you, faults and all. And for the way you kick my butt when I fu.......mess up."
The situation sorted, the couple separated following brief kiss then held hands as they began the walk into the arena. They didn't care that they were almost the last people to take their seats, the tension between them had gone and that was the most important thing and Urs turned his head to see his bandmates and their wives smiling at him again. They sat through the entire ceremony and were a little disappointed that they didn't win, but all four members of Il Divo agreed that the winner deserved it, if only just a little more than they did.
Everyone decided to stay for the after party though not for long, an hour at most and they arrived back at the hotel well before midnight. As they walked through the doors, Urs noticed that Monsieur Thibideaux had a smile on his face and was indicating for Franky to approach which she did very quickly.
"Madame Buhler I am please to say we have found your rings, non?" He smiled, opening his right hand to reveal what he was holding.
"Oui, you have. Where were they?"
"Tangled up the bedding Jacqueline removed from your room. I do no what is up with zat girl at the minute. This is the third time such a thing has happened in two weeks. She is usually so careful with regard to our celebrity guests and is a popular member of staff. However, she has shocked me by resigning her position. I tell you I shall have the grande troubles finding a chambermaid as good as her."
Franky nodded, returned the rings to her fingers, her eyes widening a little then she turned to look at Urs and gave her head a quick flick.
"I apologise for my behaviour earlier. I should have given you a chance to recover the rings rather than demanding you call the police."
"Pfft! Think nothing of it Monsieur Buhler. At least you listened to your wife's request eventually and didn't threaten me with physical violence like the last man whose wife's ear-rings went missing."
Urs looked at Franky, thinking that it was somewhat rude of the man to look past them both while he spoke but a glance around told them he was watching Jacqueline approach, her uniform folded neatly in her hands. She glanced Urs and Franky's way then set the uniform down on the counter and tried to move away, Monsieur Thibideaux stopping her by gently grabbing hold of her hand and asking her to reconsider her decision.
"I am sorry, I can't Henri. Much as I've loved being here, I want to go. I've caused you so much trouble recently and things haven't.........haven't turned out the way I hoped they would. I really do need to go home. I want my mother to wrap her arms around me, tell me everything will be all right, that I will find someone worthy of my love, the way she always does when things go wrong. I don't care if I don't have enough money for the plane or Eurotunnel, I'll get there somehow, someway."
"At least let me buy you a ticket for one or the other."
"No. You've been kind enough already." Jacqueline shook her head then took a deep breath before turning to speak to Urs and Franky. "I'm so sorry if I caused any trouble between you. When I change a bed, I have a habit of putting the pillows on the nightstand once I've got the cases off and I usually check very carefully before I bundle everything up and dump it in the trolley. I haven't done that recently because my mind has been.......elsewhere. Again, I can only apologise for any trouble and my tardy attitude to my job."
"It's all right. Obviously something's upset you very deeply, I won't ask what because it's none of my business. Would you mind telling me where home is though?" Franky queried, looking the dark haired, brown eyed woman in the face.
"England. York to be precise."
"Then come back to England with us. There's plenty of room on the jet." Urs suggested following a quick look to Franky.
"Pardon?"
"I think I made myself pretty clear. One more passenger isn't going to hurt. It will save you some money and you'll get back to England safe and sound. Won't you?"
"Well yes.......but."
"No buts. We'll meet you here in the lobby at 8:00am precisely. Okay?"
"Erm.......Okay." Jacqueline nodded, her eyes wide and mouth gaping.
Urs and Franky left the stunned young woman alone and headed for the lift. They arrived at the fourteenth floor and quickly informed the rest of the guys that Franky's rings had been found and that they would have an extra passenger for the flight home. Once that was done, they headed to their suite, Urs wanting to make love to Franky but knowing he couldn't and cursing the fact it was the wrong time of the month for her as they prepared for bed. They soon settled under the covers, Urs moving her hand away from his groin, stating that he was prepared to wait for her even though his body betrayed him. Franky kissed him hard and deep and after a few minutes of very deep breathing, Urs had calmed down and quickly joined Franky in a peaceful repose.
The following morning, they'd just reached the lobby when Henri Thibideaux caught their attention and passed them a small piece of paper which read.
'Dear Mr Buhler
Thank you very much for offering to fly me back home. However, I will not be needing your help after all. My mother was so worried about me, she insisted that my father drive from York to Paris yesterday. They arrived at my home just as I entered and I'll be driving back to York.
Please don't be to concerned with the fact you thought I'd stolen your Franky's jewellery either. I don't blame you, it's a conclusion I would more than likely leapt to had such beautiful, beautiful rings suddenly disappeared from my hotel room. I neither want or deserve an apology. You may think different but....well, what does it matter now? No official accusation was made, therefore I have no blot on my record and will be able to work again once I have gotten over my sorrows and got my head straight.
Enjoy the rest of your life and keep up the wonderful work you do with Carlos, David and Seb.
Yours
Jacqueline
This time it was Urs's turn to stand in the lobby with the Stunned Goldfish look on his face. Jacqueline hadn't given the even slightest hint that she was a fan. He'd met and seen thousands over the years and had always managed to spot something, a quick smile, wide eyes, red faces. Something always gave them away, but not Jacqueline.
"I wouldn't look so surprised honey. It was obvious someone's broken her heart. Was to me anyway. I don't think for one minute my rings would have disappeared yesterday if she'd have been one hundred per cent focused."
"Duuuuuh! Still a dummyhead." Urs nodded, rolling his eyes backwards as he slapped his forehead with the palm of his right hand making Franky crack up laughing.

Poor Urs will he never learn to talk and work with Franky and not make a ass out of himself??

I didn't get the impression Franky thought they had been stolen either and that she wanted to give the hotel a chance to find them..

Can't see Urs playing up the star routine and trying to push people around..

I am just glad they found the rings and that the lady had a chance to go home and be with her family to regroup.. But that was awesome Urs inviting her to fly home with them..

Chapter 131 - The Best Gift Ever!!!
Still securely strapped into his seat, Urs looked at the box shaped parcel he'd been given by Kelly just before boarding, completely puzzled as to what it could contain. He knew who it was from, he'd know Franky's penmanship anywhere. He raised his eyes and kept them focused on the sign, waiting to be told he could remove his seatbelt. One minute, two minutes, five, six, six and half, seven.
"Finally!" He yelled a little louder than intended and quickly pulled at the clip.
He ripped, enthusiastically through the brown paper and tossed it to one side then proceeded to open the box. Inside, below seven envelopes, was another wrapped box, the paper featuring pictures of himself holding each of his and Franky's children as newborns with the exception of Sylvie. Hers showed him looking up into her smiling face and he immediately remembered when that particulary picture had been taken. Outside the courthouse in Geneva, mere moments after they'd been given full custody of her.
"Oooh! Naughty, naughty Ursy. I shall be telling Franky you opened it early when we get home." He heard Carlos's teasing tone as he started to carefully unwrap the gift, trying not to tear the paper.
"One, Carlos. If Franky had wanted me to wait until I got home, she wouldn't have sent it to me in the first place. Two. It is five past midnight in England. Ergo, it is already Father's Day there. So I have not opened it early. Three. I know what I'm buying you for Christmas this year."
"A time difference watch, si?"
"Exactly."
"No need amigo. Barbara-Jean bought me a beautiful one last Christmas."
"Then why the bloody hell aren't you wearing it?" Urs asked, only for the Spaniard to raise his eyebrows and give him a quick smile. "Don't tell me you haven't figured out how it works yet!"
"Just a few of the things that are stumping me. I will figure it out before the tour."
"Suuuuuuuuuure you will."
Laughing, Urs returned his attention to what he'd unwrapped once Carlos had returned his attention to his seat. His brow immediately furrowed, wondering why on earth the children would want to buy him and external hard-drive for his computer. The one he had was nowhere near full yet, in fact he'd never come close to filling the memories on any of his old ones. He spotted a piece of paper sticking out of one end, quickly pulled it out and read Franky's note.
'Urs!
Instead of sitting there, trying to figure out why the children bought you this, try plugging it in to your laptop. If you can remember how. LOL. Just teasing.
Love
Franky.'
"Very funny, Fire." He chuckled, knowing that Franky did like to tease him about how bad he still was with modern technoledgy. "You know that's an easy for me." He shook his head and set about doing what he needed to do.
"So! What did you get?" David's voice interupted his concentration.
He looked up to see his grinning face hanging over the seat in front of him then tapped at the small black box.
"Oh! Okaaaay!"
"What?" Urs asked, seeing that David's expression had changed to a puzzled frown. "You've been told many times before. Don't judge the contents by the wrappings. Haven't you?" He asked nodding towards the laptop screen and seeing the little window that was asking him what he wanted to do with the files it had found.
"Yes, Daddy. Sorry, Daddy." David replied in a childish voice before he turned back to whatever it was he'd been doing before.
"And Franky calls me childish. God knows how Lauren puts up with you sometimes."
"I heard that."
"You were meant to."
Urs spent a few moments chuckling to himself while he looked at his options then pressed moved the pointer to the 'choose file' option. Eight folders soon appeared on the screen, all labelled with each of the children's names. He clicked on Sylvie's first then settled back in his seat as its contents started to play. A smile quickly finding its way across his face as he watched her trying on several pairs of shoes shortly after the custody hearing, her eyes widening and mouth gaping when he heard himself telling her that she could have more than one pair and still looking like that as he paid for her four favourite pairs. The image switched flawlessly to the pair of them seated at the piano, playing a rather complicated duet, both giggling each time they made a mistakes. Images of them out riding followed those, his face beaming and his mind recalling how stunned he'd been to see how quickly she'd taken to the saddle. Her performance with Franky at the old rink was also there followed by him hugging her tight, telling how well she'd done and how proud he was of her. Watching a huge smile find its way across her face while he told her that she looked beautiful in the tartan corset topped dress that Barbara-Jean had chosen for her bridesmaid, despite the fact she didn't like such deep, rich blues. Clips from the family trips and holidays they'd taken brought him up-to-date and he shook his head when he saw Sylvie's face on the screen, wishing him a Happy Father's Day and telling him that she loved him.
He opened Frank's file next and swallowed hard when he saw himself in the NICU, tube feeding him and holding him against his chest underneath his t-shirt. Short movies of him feeding, burping, changing, bathing and reading stories to Frank followed that and quickly switched to his first birthday party. Urs chuckling as he watched himself grab Frank's hands and gently pull them away from the burning candle, the toddler needing his assistance to blow it and shouting 'Gen Dada' after they'd done so. Franky giggling while she recorded and re-lighting the candle three more times after that. Urs's face smiling as he listened to Frank sing 'Wheels On The Bus', making all the hand motions as he did, Urs himself having no idea how often he would hear those words at the time. Defiant Frank, stropping and stomping his foot, refusing to have the drops put in his eyes until Urs growled his full name and apologising quickly, allowing his treatment to be carried out and beaming wide when he received a 'Good boy' as a reward. Visits to the zoo and other places followed that, the inquisitive little boy always asking his father to read the Latin names for each and every animal they saw. Giggling when he stumbled over 'Pan Troglodytes'. Listening to Frank grumble and watching him fidget in the suit he'd worn for Carlos and Barbara-Jean's wedding, his little eyes rolling backwards and tugging the tie off once the ceremony was over and the photographs had been taken.
'Hurry up Papi' Frank's shout resounded around the garage, the image showing him bouncing up and down with excitement while Urs removed the training wheels from his bike. His little butt shaking unrythmically once he'd got the hang of riding on two wheels almost four hours later, Urs beaming with pride and thankful Franky had left that task to him. Himself and Franky dropping a six year old Frank off for his first day at 'proper' school rather than 'Divo' school, looking slightly bemused when Urs told him that Mr Jonty would not be there to teach him. His boundless excitement when Saskia brought him home, barely pausing to take a breath while he told his parents how many friends he'd made, not really stopping until he was tucked up in bed. Aged eight, crying because he didn't have any musical abilities at all and thinking that he was a disappointment to his father, only stopping when Urs told him that it didn't matter, he loved him and would always love him, he didn't care that he couldn't sing or play an instrument and not to let it bother him, he was sure he would have other abilities that his siblings didn't. Almost a year ago, Frank complaining about the tie and blazer he had to wear for school and saying that he couldn't wait for the end of the school day to come as he stepped out of the Odyssey. His smiling face appearing at the end wishing him the same as Sylvie had but with a much quieter 'I love you' at the end that left Urs giggling, knowing that those words weren't considered 'cool' for an almost twelve year old to say out loud to his father.
Kurt's videos were the next to be opened and were pretty much the same as Frank's up to a point, but they still made him smile. Urs's own face appeared next, looking like he was in pain and he had to pause the video to remember why. It came to him pretty quickly and he thanked God that Kurt had stopped that particular peculiar habit following a bath. Running away from him, naked wasn't so bad, but to see to him sitting on his bedroom floor, tugging at his man parts was completely different matter and made Urs wince every time he did it. Teaching Kurt to swim pushed that memory to one side, the little boy loving every minute, looking to his father for approval and beaming a huge smile when he got it. Urs paused the video again, recalling the first time he'd taken him into the pool and how Kurt had virtually screamed the poolroom down because he'd stopped him from jumping off the end of the diving board, citing that he was far too young and needed to have a few more lesson before he did that. It was something he'd grown to love seeing a few months later, watching him walk quickly to the end, bounce once, 'bomb' his body into the water and come back up without any problem. Singing and music lessons followed that and, even though he was still slightly disappointed that it sounded like Kurt was going to be a Baritone, he couldn't be more proud. His singing voice did sound very much like Carlos at that age, he recalled the Spaniard's mother playing a recording of him at the same age, years ago but couldn't recall that much of a difference. Time would tell on that one. At least Kurt could play piano a little, but he was much better on drums and had been delighted to receive his first guitar at Christmas and desperate for Urs to teach him a few chords. Urs watched Kurt's raise his smiling face to the screen and shook his head as he listened to him sing 'Happy Father's Day' to the tune of 'Happy Birthday' whilst strumming the notes on said guitar, hitting a few bum ones and giving a quick shrug as he finished and told Urs he loved him.
A look out of the window informed Urs that the plane was just beginning its flight across the Atlantic Ocean, leaving him plenty of time to view the remaining videos. He opened Serena's file and was immediately shown taking as good care of her as he had her brothers. In the next portion he was sitting crossed legged on the lounge floor, Serena standing a few feet away with Franky's help until she started to walk unaided into his waiting arms and giggling as he lifted her high into the air. As with the boys, a couple of birthday celebrations were thrown in, but the image that captured his attention was the look on her face when she'd opened one of her Christmas gifts to reveal her first pair of 'proper' ice skates. Her smile huge, just like Franky's and saying she couldn't wait to use them. Urs knowing that she could complete a circuit of the rink at the time and telling her he couldn't wait to see her use them. Other fun times followed and before he knew it he was watching himself asking Serena if she was all right after 'Alondra' had pulled her over in the excitement of chasing ducks. 'I'm all right, Papi. Stop fussing.', himself replying 'That's my girl.' with a smile as she walked away to retrieve the lead. It disappointed him at all that she preferred to skate despite the fact she had a pretty good singing voice. He'd hoped and prayed that one of the children would take after Franky and that wish had come true. Serena had come third in a recent local contest and so proud of her medal, just like he was. He could barely wait to see what the future held for her in that regard and hoped she would take things further than Franky had. Neither of them would push her into doing so, but it didn't hurt to hope. The next image to appear was of her reaction to meeting Sage for the first time. Serena informing that she liked Sage very much and asking if she could have her tongue pierced. 'Sure you can.' Urs heard himself saying. 'Once you're thirty.' Serena huffing 'Very funny, Papi.' while Franky cracked up laughing in the background, the camera shaking violently. He'd just finished listening to her wish him 'Happy Father's Day' and had caught the kiss she'd blown him after saying that she loved him when he heard a loud shout behind him.
"Way to Eden!"
Urs turned his head and looked through the gap between the seats to find Sebastien also on his laptop and dancing in his seat.
"His first football match. He scored..........twice." Sebastien informed with a huge, silly grin on his face.
Urs nodded, turned his face forward again and clicked on Ciara's file, knowing that up until a few months ago, it had been very difficult to capture her on video once she'd gotten past the toddler stage. He was no more than ten seconds into it when he heard familiar snoring coming from the farthest end of the plane. Shaking his head, he searched his carry-on and soon had his earphones on, thankful that he had a pair that fit the laptop as well as his iPod and thinking that maybe he should have put them at the beginning, especially since Carlos always fell asleep on a long haul flight and snored loudly.
Once again he saw himself feeding, changing and bathing baby Ciara, singing lullabyes to help her sleep and reading stories to her. Suddenly there she was, chasing him around the lounge on 'Roary', laughing her head off when he jumped onto the couch to get out of her way. The next thing he knew, there she was sitting on his lap, attempting to read one of his favourite childhood stories that he'd found when clearing out the Buhler family home. Ja, she mispronounced some of the German words in 'Hansel & Gretel' but quickly picked up on his corrections and kept trying until she got it right. Finally, she was expressing her joy at receiving a child's digital camera for Christmas and Urs remembered how stunned he'd been to see it on her list. She'd picked up on how to use that very quickly too and even though most pictures she took ended up being deleted, she had managed to take a couple of good ones of her parents, separate and together. One of those was now framed and displayed on her nightstand and he was sure she kissed it every night before she went to sleep. Still slightly nervous about being on the lens side of the camera, she managed not to cry as she very quickly told him she loved him and wished him a 'Happy Father's Day'.
Oh so quiet and shy Jordi's crys suddenly assaulted his ears, the image showing him being bathed. That was something he hadn't enjoyed and still didn't. He much preferred a shower and Urs had lost count of how many times he'd found him dancing around in the shower, fully clothed or otherwise. Himself unable to catch hold of him due to the fact he'd moved very quickly and had some fantastic ways of getting away from his father, for a few moments anyway. Franky giggling once again as the image showed a fully clothed, completely saturated male scowling playfully at his naked and wet youngest child. Jordi smiling that smile that seemed to say 'I know I've been a bit naughty, but come on Papi it was fun wasn't it?'.
Nodding his head and laughing, Urs watched the images change. This time revealing the astonished expression on his face as he turned it from Jordi to Franky and back again several times. The three of them heading out to the garage after a few minutes, Jordi loving every minute of riding on his father's 'Ice Harley' slowly down the drive and back again, seated in front of him. Up until the moment he'd made that request, Jordi had never given so much as an inkling that he was interested in motorcycles but now loved nothing more than helping out with repairs, handing Urs or Franky whatever tool was needed and always willing to help tidy up. The final clip, himself and Jordi looking into the camera, serious looks on their faces, completely denying either of them had taken a slice out of the 'Death By Chocolate' cake Franky had made the previous day, despite the fact they both had chocolate around their mouths and crumbs down their t-shirts. Franky cracking up laughing when they pointed each other, apportioning blame. That incident occuring just twenty four hours before he'd had to leave to promote 'Dentro Y Fuera Del Amor'. As always, Jordi looked a little bit sad as he wished Urs a 'Happy Father's Day' and told him he loved him, but a quick reminder from Franky that he would be home soon brought a smile to his face, revealing that he'd finally lost that tooth that had been loose for so long.
He couldn't begin to imagine what Flavian's file held, there were certainly no videos of him. He took a deep breath before opening it and felt the sting of tears when he saw photographs of himself cradling the baby against his naked chest, holding him out in front of him and the final one, Flavian's little fingers resting on the little finger of his father's right hand. Urs closed his eyes briefly, recalling how hard he'd found it to have those pictures taken but feeling so very, very glad they had them now.
Finally, it was time to open Franky's file and he was very quickly shaking his head as he listened to her apologise for not putting all the videos they had on the hard-drive, carefully explaining that it had been a last minute idea and that if she had, she would still be working on Frank's section and wouldn't have had time to courier it to him. Going on to say that she was perfectly willing to do that once he was home if he wanted her to.
"Of course I want you to......dummyhead." Urs replied quietly, touching Franky's face as she told him she loved him, blew him a kiss and wished him 'Happy Father's Day'.
Perfectly happy with his gift, Urs disconnected the hard-drive and shut the laptop down just seconds before the pilot's voice came through the speakers to inform that they were on their final approach and for seatbelts to be fastened. In what seemed like next to no time, they were down and out of the airport and on their way home. Urs walking into the house to find his family just about to enter the kitchen. It took them less than a second to realise he was home and all turned to run to him and welcome him back. Six voices beginning to question him about the places he'd been to. Franky remaining in the kitchen doorway with a huge smile on her face while he calmed them down and told them all would be revealed over breakfast. They settled quickly, Ciara and Jordi taking hold of his hands and leading him to his seat at the head of the table. He didn't sit immediately because he hadn't greeted Franky. He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulled her close and smiled.
"Hi. Miss me much, Fire?"
"Hi. You have no idea how much I missed you, Ice." Franky replied, nodding towards the table just before he kissed her long and deep, both of them looking surprised as the separated because not one child had protested about them displaying their love for each other in front of them.
A few moments later Urs sat down to a full English breakfast and thanked the once he'd thanked them for the 'best gift ever' and each of the cards he'd opened on the car ride home. Of course the children thought he meant the hard-drive but a look to Franky's smiling face told him she understood that he meant each and every one of them.

Chapter 132 - Houston, We Have A Problem!
Urs could hear laughter coming from the new tour bus long before he reached the open door and climbed aboard. Carlos, David and Sebastien were still roaring with laughter over what had happened to him on stage and almost two hours had passed since it happened. He heard their driver start the engine and noticed that he had a smirk on his face, so obviously he'd heard all about it. Urs shook his head, waved goodbye to the fans who were still milling around then moved to sit next to Franky, listening to his friends comments as he did so.
"Awww! Wook at his wikkle face. He's still blushing." David teased, grinning widely.
"Si, even worse than he did yesterday." Carlos replied, his shoulders shaking.
"I really hope someone captured that look. It was absolutely priceless." Sebastien informed through his chuckles, making the three men crack up again.
"Ja, ja. Very funny guys." Urs sighed, looking at Franky woefully and seeing that she was stifling her own laughter.
"I'm sorry, honey. I'm not laughing about what happened to you. It's the face you pulled when you realised. That and thanking God you were wearing plain black boxers, rather than the ones you were wearing this morning."
"It's all right, angel. There's no need to apologise I can imagine. Gott knows what pictures would have been taken if the fans had seen those blue things with bananas all over them. Good job I always change out of those cheeky ones you buy me huh? The 'children' would be teasing me even more if they'd seen those."
"Yep! I'm proud of you for finishing the song despite what happened."
"Danke."
Still hearing laughter resounding around the bus, Urs wrapped his arm around Franky's waist and shook his head as he recalled the rather embarrassing incident. They'd been on stage less then fifteen minutes and had just begun to sing their version of "I Can't Make You Love Me" when he'd squatted to autograph a fan's program. Luckilly he hadn't been singing at the time but he'd heard his trousers tear apart as he did so. He knew his eyes had immediately flown wide and the gulp he'd released had resounded around the arena. Somehow, he had managed to finish the song, but hadn't bowed so deep at the end.
The rest of the guys hadn't noticed to begin with and only the fact Sebastien had seen his red face had alerted them to the fact there was something wrong. Of course the French man had asked and had even looked around to his rear end before telling Carlos and David what he'd done, his mic picking every word up and making the audience giggle. Knowing that he was blushing worse than he could ever remember, Urs had scurried off stage with Sebastien holding his suit jacket over his rear end to cover the gaping hold and preserve a modecum of decorum. While he was changing into the pair he was supposed to wear later, he'd listened to David speaking to the audience, using the line he'd been wanting to use for years, making Urs shake his head and roll his eyes backwards.
"Houston, we have a problem. Please bear with us while our friend sorts himself out."
It had taken him less than five minutes to change and he'd returned to the stage to find the rest of the guys sitting on the edge of the stage, signing a few programs, neither of them looking around to see if he'd come back yet, despite the fact the audience were applauding wildly. They hadn't moved to until he'd coughed into his mic and even then they'd continued to tease.
"Just a minute, I'm almost done here." Sebastien had smiled, pointing to the program he'd just been asked to autograph.
"Oh purrrrrlease take your time guys. I'm sure the audience wouldn't mind too much if I continued on my own." He'd deadpanned in return and the next thing he knew the guys were on the feet, ready to go again, the audience laughing as 'Passera' began to play.
"And they said you had no sense of humour." Carlos nodded once the song was finished, the microphone well away from his mouth. The concert had continued and finished without further incident and he'd walked off stage to find Lauren, Barbara-Jean and Emma telling their respective husbands to stop teasing their brother. Not that it had been much use, he knew they were going to milk his embarrassment for all it was worth.
"Guess we should think ourselves lucky it wasn't the front part that gave way." David had grinned.
"Why? The audience wouldn't have seen 'much' more." Sebastien had seriously, shaking his head briefly before cracking up laughing.
"No, unless they had the opera glasses with them of course.......then again maybe not." Carlos had chuckled.
Tongue firmly planted in his cheek and head shaking Urs had taken a deep breath and headed for his dressing room where he found Franky waiting for him, a slightly concerned look on her face.
"You all right, honey." She asked, pulling back from a kiss.
"Fine, angel. It could have been worse. And I can take anything those three reprobates care to dish out."
"I know you can. I was just a bit........"
"A bit what?"
"Concerned that they would take things too far. You're having so much fun on this tour. I would hate to see you grumpy for the rest of it."
"Not going to happen while you're with me, angel. And where did you get such a knuckleheaded idea in first place."
"You forget, I've heard all about how you reacted when things went wrong at previous concerts, Mr Huffypants."
"Ja, well. Like the saying goes, 'Shit happens'."
Franky left him alone to shower and change after that, him knowing that she was desperate to call Saskia and found out if they were enjoying seeing their first ever baseball game. Chuckling to himself, he stepped into the shower and tried to imagine how much teasing was to come and getting nowhere fast. He knew the American was normally the one who took things a little too far, but Sebastien and Carlos were quite capable of overstepping the mark. However, they all seemed to have forgotten he had embarrassing stories about each of them filed away in the reccesses of his mind, stories he hadn't revealed yet and he began laughing heartilly when one popped into his head. David, calling him in a panic during the second tour, completely lost in the 'red light' district of Amsterdam, Urs never recounting that particular story to anyone despite the fact he hadn't promised never too. Oh yes that would be a good one to finally tell if his brother went too far this time.
Dried of and re-dressed, he'd left the arena passing the wardrobe mistress as he did so and smiling at her when she looked at him, nervously chewing on her bottom lip, the ruined trousers lying next to her sewing machine, awaiting repair. Being new to her current position and slightly nervous, she taken a moment or two to look at him before saying that she would see what she could do with the trousers and make sure he wasn't embarrassed for the second night in succession. He'd thanked her, told her not to worry about it too much then stepped outside to greet some fans. He'd heard one or two pissy remarks being made about Franky but hadn't paid the women concerned any attention and thought they should consider themselves very lucky he even bothered to sign their autograph books and programs. Half an hour later, he'd approached the bus, stepped aboard and now sat listening to David, Sebastien and Carlos get some measure of control of themselves.
"Hang on a minute. What did you mean a few minutes ago? When you said Urs's face was redder tonight than it was yesterday? I thought everything went great and BJ and Franky did really well at the 'Flamenco' lesson."
"Si they did. It was on the way there we had the problems." Carlos grunted a laugh and turned to look at Urs who closed his eyes then look at Franky, both of them giggling at the memory. "I was driving along, minding my own business, being very careful with Barbara-Jean and Franky blindafolded in the back seat. The next thing I know I hear police sirens behind us and I am being instructed to pull over. I do so and both Urs and I are ordered out of the car, the cops ready to draw their weapons. They ask us what we're up to, but don't believe us when we are explaining. We are both semi-handcuffed when Paul pulls up to see if the new recruits need any help but immediately tells his commrades to release us when he sees who they've got hold of. We are released and sent on our way. What Paul had to say I have no idea. All I do know is that Urs's face was as red as the beetroots as he got back in the car and explained to our passengers that the two young men thought we'd kidnapped them and the blush did not leave his face until just before we got back to the hotel."
"You were just as bad Senor Marin." Barbara-Jean informed with a giggle and a nod of her head.
"Pah! I do not do the blushings."
"Really? I can think of a few times you have." Barbara-Jean widened her eyes and tapped at her temple, indicating that she had several embarrassing stories tucked away in her memory while Carlos grumbled some choice Spanish expletives then gave her a kiss.
Urs looked at Franky and quickly noticed that she had her right hand over her mouth to stifle her laughter, her eyes telling him that she'd drifted off into a memory of her own. Wondering where she'd gone back to he gave a her quick nudge and asked.
"You know. Ireland, the Piotin, me doing a Lady Godiva." She replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Oh that?!" Urs laughed, his head nodding. "That story is safely tucked away, just like those you have on me. Our own, private embarrassing stories. Only to be repeated when we're in a teasing mood and even then, only to each other."
"I know. I remember the promise you made the following day once I'd sobered up."
Urs nodded a final time as the bus slowed to turn into the hotel entrance, his mind flitting back to their holiday in Ireland and how one of the village residents had given them a small bottle of Piotin as welcome gift. He began to giggle as remembered the two of them having a couple of small glasses their second evening there, not expecting Franky to get that tipsy on such a small amount of alcohol. He'd gone to use the bathroom at some point in the evening only to find Franky gone on his return. He'd heard noises outside, had followed them around to the stables where he'd found her riding one of the horses round the stable yar wearing nothing but her birthday suit and looking absolutely stunning doing it in his eyes. As embarrasing a memory as it was for Franky, it was equally beautiful to him.
A few moments later, they arrived back in their suite to find Frank in the lounge area looking a little grumpy while Saskia instructed his siblings to stop teasing him, kiss their parents goodnight and head off to bed. Both of them questioning the young man why he was in such a mood if he'd enjoyed the game as much as Saskia said they had.
"I did enjoy the game." Frank nodded then sighed heavily. "Until the last few minutes anyway. One of the players slid on his stomach to get to the base and busted his bottoms up in the process, they fell round his knees as he stood up and he wasn't wearing much underneath. Not enough to cover his hiney any way. That's when the girl who'd been sitting next to me throughout the whole match turned round to me and said 'He's got a cute hiney all right but not as cute as yours.' They all heard her and have been teasing me all the way home. So bloody embarrassing." He finished with a sharp nod as he stood, kissed Franky goodnight and headed off to his bed.
"See. I told you he was like you in some ways." Franky teased Urs, nodding towards the recently slammed door.
"Ja he is. And I'm sure he'll loosen up just the same, when he finds an angel of his own." Urs replied, turning on his laptop and entering the appropriate thread on the website without logging on, both he and Franky cracking up laughing when they saw the pictures of him standing on stage, wide-eyed and open mouthed, his face getting redder and redder the further he scrolled down the screen.

Chapter 133 - They're Not Babies Anymore
Hands casually slipped into the pockets of his jeans, Urs walked slowly down the hallway and stopped at the closed door where he took a moment to look at the door plaque that bore her name. It didn't seem like five minutes since he'd hung the pink painted piece of wood there and watched her admire the white dots and darker pink daisy that decorated it. And now, aged twenty-one, she'd left home after being offered a place with a small orchestra and accepting ethusiastically.
Taking a deep breath, Urs raised his hand to knock, completely forgetting that Sylvie wouldn't answer him and shaking his head when he remembered. He reached for the handle instead, pushed it down and entered the still pink room. He sat on the end of her bed and took a good look around, feeling slightly happy to see that she hadn't taken all of her possession with her. Her wardrobe stood empty with its doors open, as did her chest of drawers. The quirky habit picked up from Franky. He knew she'd left them like that to give them a chance to breath and freshen up a little and thought it was about time they were closed. That job done, he sat back down, this time at the desk where she'd spent so much time studying to become what she was. Her certificates framed and proudly displayed above that, the walls either side plastered with photographs of the wonderful times she'd shared with her parents, siblings, Stephanie, Saskia, friends and her beloved grandparents. Her television was still there, silent and unplugged, the bed devoid of its coverings, all of it to remain that way until she came home again.
Six weeks had passed since they'd all waved her off at the airport. Christmas and New Year had come and gone without her being there and everyone had felt like there was something missing, despite the fact she'd phoned just moments after the rest of them had trooped downstairs to open their presents. Ciara crying as soon as she heard her voice, tearfully asking her big sister when she was coming home. Sylvie sniffing as she gently explained that she hoped to get some time off during the school summer holidays it would all depend on how well she did in her new job, asking the little girl to enjoy Christmas and hoping that she liked her gift. Ciara replying that she loved the silver Hugging Hearts necklace and would never take it off before passing the phone to Serena.
Serena disappearing into the Music/Dance room so that she could talk to Sylvie in private, emerging with a huge smile on her face. The boys talking to her to say thank you for their gifts, Frank for the longest time, telling her about the eleven year old girl who'd taken a shine to him and asking how he was to deal with the fact his best friend liked her more than he did. Sylvie replying that if he didn't feel ready to date yet, he should gently explain that to the girl rather than keep her dangling. Advice he'd followed as soon as school had begun again, Faun agreeing they were too young to be serious and asking if they could be friends instead, especially since she loved motorbikes, currently at least. Her mother informing that Faun was always changing her mind and never stuck with any hobby or interest for very long.
Hearing a knock at the door, Urs turned his head to see Kurt standing on the threshold, looking around the room before speaking.
"Mami sent me to fetch you. Sylvie will online in a couple of minutes. She's just texted to say she's just got home from rehearsals."
"Okay. Thanks."
"Kind of feeling how we used to when you went on tour without us, aren't you Pa? Wondering if she'll ever come home?"
"Ja, I guess I am." Urs smiled, looking at the young man who looked more and more like Franky's father with each passing day. Still taller and larger framed than Frank, his speaking voice dropping to deeper tone every now and again. Given a few more months he probably be standing taller than himself and if his grandfather's pictures were anything to go by he'd have a huge chest once he reached adulthood, "You can remember that?"
"No, not really. Little bits and pieces. Basically waking up the next morning and not seeing you at the breakfast table, that sort of thing. The phone calls really helped us all deal with that you know? We always looked forward to those."
"I know. And I guess you're telling me I should think the same about Sylvie."
"Duuuuuuuuh!" Kurt replied, rolling his eyes backwards then laughing along with Urs as they left the room together, each going their seperate ways once the door was closed.
Urs ran downstairs and through to Franky's office to find her waiting patiently for Sylvie to come online, her computer speakers and webcam already to go. He searched around for the old cream leather chair, moved it beside Franky's new red one and sat down.
"That is going to the dump next week."
"Nein, it's not. It might be battered and torn in places, but it's still comfortable enough for me."
"Hoarder." Franky teased, shaking her head at his refusal to let her get rid of the chair she'd bought just before meeting him and giggling at the quickly stuck out tongue she received in reply.
"Geeze Mami. Haven't you got rid of that old thing yet?" Sylvie's giggling voice stopped them.
"Are you referring to me or the chair?" Urs replied, wriggling a little and making Sylvie laugh.
"The chair of course. Like Mami would ever get rid of you. He brought it back in didn't he?"
"Oh yes. I knew I should have gone to the bathroom before putting it in the Odyssey. Anyway sweetheart, how are things going? Your father's been a little worried."
"So have you."
"Everything's great, there's no need to worry Papi. Naples is such an amazing city. I'm sorry I didn't call when I said I would last night, I've just been so busy. What with finishing one concert and rehearsals for the next it's a wonder I know what month it is, never mind what day."
"And you're eating all right?"
"Fine Mami. Senora Garofalo makes sure of that, makes sure all of us that live in the block have a good hot meal waiting for us when we get home. In fact she feeds us so well, a couple of us have had to join a gym. I put eight pounds on over Christmas." Sylvie informed with a giggle. "Not that I consider myself fat, I could just feel it was there when I climbed the stairs."
"Have you found an Italian teacher yet?" Urs asked, knowing that Sylvie wanted to learn enough Italian before she'd left home but hadn't had the time.
"Well kind of. Senora Garofalo's nephew speaks fluent English and has agreed to give me and a couple of others lessons. So no problem there. There's no need to worry about me using public transport late at night either, Papi. I get an escort right to my door, me and couple of the other girls anyway."
"Think he's glad to hear that." Franky smiled then looked at Urs, both of them knowing Sylvie had tried to pass her driving test three times already and always been very disappointed when she'd failed.
"Seems I've got myself an admirer too."
"Oh really. Do tell."
"Mami, honestly. You are still so......" Sylvie paused to shake her head and giggle then continued. "He's younger than me I think, but I saw him three nights on the trot, staring up at me, totally enraptured by listening to me play. Even his parents couldn't get his attention until it was time to leave. He's quite handsome, auburn haired and cognac coloured eyes. Looks nothing like his father, if that is his father who accompanied him the first time."
"Oh!"
"Are you all right Mami. You've gone a little pale."
"Fine, sweetheart. The description just reminded me of someone that's all."
"Oh I'm sorry. I forgot about her and......."
"It doesn't matter. There are lots of people around with that colouring, I'm just being silly." Franky replied, shaking her head and huffing out a breath before berating herself and questioning how stupid could she be?
"Okay. Erm.......Have you started work on the new album yet Papi?"
"Nein. Simon had to cancel last week's meeting due to food poisoning. Re-scheduled for Monday. Why?"
"Because we're going to be performing some of your favourite pieces. I just thought you could all come over, as long as you're not busy that is."
"I'll check my schedule with Kel.....Charlise. Sorry sweetheart. I can't make any guarantees."
"Like I don't know that already. Honestly Papi." Sylvie tutted and shook her head. "You can always check our website out if you can't make it."
"I know. I've spent a lot time on there recently. You were fantastic."
"Thank you, I do owe you more than I can ever repay you know?"
"Nein you don't. It was a joy to teach you to play. Are you keeping up with your skating?" Urs shook his head at the offered thanks.
"Oh yes. Though not as often as I would like. Have to go to Rome for that but it's well worth the trip. I've made a couple of fantastic friends there. They didn't believe me when I told them who'd taught me to skate so well. Not until I showed them that old YouTube video and the photograph I carry with me anyway. Do you have any idea how many people have told me that Mami was their inspiration to take to the ice?"
"Wouldn't have a clue?"
"Well I know twenty, three of whom did so in their thirties. They're not brilliant, but they have a great time at the rink."
"Glad to hear it." Urs nodded then looked at Franky and smiled when he saw that she was blushing.
"Talking of skating, it's almost time for me to leave to take Serena to practice. You'd better speak to her before we leave."
"Okay Mami. I love you both and miss you loads."
"Love you too sweetheart." Urs and Franky replied together then went in search of Serena.
They found her in the kitchen with Saskia and watched her run to the office once she'd been told Sylvie was online.
"I was not worried about Sylvie at all you know. She's a very independant girl. More than capable of taking care of herself." Franky informed with a firm nod, placing a cup of coffee in front of Urs as they both sat down at the kitchen table.
"I know that. But you soooooo were worried." Urs retorted, watching Ciara and Jordi slip quietly out of the room.
"So wasn't."
"Were."
"Was not."
"Were."
"Was not."
"Ja you we........Hmmmmmmn." Urs laughed, pulling back from the kiss Franky had given him to stop the silly back and forth argument and understanding why the youngest two children had left the room so quickly. "You think our body language gave things away?" He asked, wrapping his arm around Franky's waist and pulling her close.
"No. They just know when we're teasing each other and where that usually leads. Very intuative those two."
"Ja they are. Just like their wonderful Mami."
"Danke. You'd almost forgotten how old Sylvie was when she said she'd taken that position, hadn't you?"
"Ja. One minute she's a shy little girl in need of some love, the next she's dating and seemingly before I can blink she's celebrating her twenty-first birthday and making her own way in the big wide world. I never thought for one minute that she would go that far away from us though."
"Me neither. I'm so very proud of her."
"Me too." Urs nodded just as Serena came into the kitchen, her bagged ice-skates in hand and smiling. "I don't suppose there's any point in asking if I can watch you practice?"
"Not really no Papi. You'll just have to wait until next weekend. You know I like my freedances to be a surprise." Serena replied and listened to Urs grumble that she was just like her mother in that regard. "Oh like you have a problem with that?" She finished, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek and heading out towards the garage.
"Anyway, you promised to sort a certain space out today." Franky informed, picking up her handbag and nodding towards the lounge-room.
Knowing that he'd promised to clean out the storage cupboard because a lot of his things were in there, in need of sorting and putting up in the loft, but not really wanted to do it, Urs grumbled some choice cursewords, kissed a giggling Franky goodbye for now then moved to make a start on his task. An hour into sorting through the gifts he'd received during the tour, Urs heard the back door slam shut and saw that Frank had returned from a run with 'Alondra', guzzling hard on bottle of flavoured water, his hair tied back in a ponytail as he headed for the utility room.
"Something wrong, Pa?" Frank asked, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand before loading his bedding into the drier, avoiding looking at his father as he did so.
"Nein, nein." Urs replied, his brow furrowing, wondering why Frank had washed his bedding when Franky had changed all the bed linens the day before and feeling the heat rise to his face when he remembered what had happened to him shortly after his fourteenth birthday. "Just thinking about something Carlos said the other day."
"Oh that! Well, you don't have to worry about me giving you grandchildren anytime soon. I don't plan on having kids until I'm at least thirty. I don't care how many girls are interested in me. I'm having way too much fun just being a kid myself right now. No way I'm going to get myself tangled up with a girl and become a father before I've left school. It just ain't gonna happen."
"Glad to hear it." Urs nodded, pulling Frank into a tight hug and giggling when he squirmed in protest. "Hit the shower. You stink."
Rolling his eyes and grumbling, Frank left Urs alone and his mind immediately flew back to seeing Carina sitting in the garden of her father's house, holding hands and giggling along with an almost sixteen year old boy named Aiden. The Spaniard watching them both like a hawk from his vantage point in the conservatory, arms folded across his chest and making the comment that she would probably be making him a grandfather pretty soon, Barbara-Jean scoffing at the idea, stating that she was far too sensible to be getting into that predicament any time soon as she watched Carina gently move Aiden's hand away from near the top of her thigh. Carlos's body visibly stiffing and hearing him growl some choice profanities in English as he continued to watch the couple, only calming down a little when Barbara-Jean reminded him that she'd taught Carina how to deal with the situation herself, Aiden looking like he was apologising for his behaviour. Urs and Franky looking at each other, both of them knowing that there was something Carlos didn't like about the young man, something he couldn't quite put his finger on or put into words.
Huffing a laugh, Urs returned to what he'd been doing and had just closed the door on the now tidy space when Frank and Kurt came downstairs. Frank informing that he was heading for the garage to help Gabriel with the inventory and Kurt saying that he'd finished his homework and was ready for his lesson. Urs nodded but had to remind Frank to put his bicycle helmet on as he headed out of the back door, the teenager grumbling something under his breath but doing as he'd been told. Half an hour into Kurt's guitar lesson, Franky and Serena returned both beaming huge smiles, practice obviously having gone well.
"You know.....I think she's going to outdo anything me or my mother did on the ice." Franky informed, watching Serena head upstairs from the threshold of the Music/Dance room.
"We'll have to wait and see about that, though I don't think she will. Your equal maybe, but surpass you? That's practically mission impossible." Urs replied, shaking his head. "And I don't mean that as a put down. She's amazing, much better than I thought she would ever be."
"I know that and so does Seri. As long as she enjoys herself, that's all I care about."
Suddenly, a long, loud, frustrated scream filled the air, making both Urs and Franky run upstairs to find out what was wrong with Serena. They found her standing on the threshold of the bathroom, growling and shaking her head in frustration at the devastation Frank had left in his wake, questioning why he felt the need to use three towels as she stepped in, picked them up and threw them into the basket.
"That boy is going to need someone with the patience of a saint." Urs chuckled as he and Franky headed back downstairs.
"Funny that. Your mother said exactly the same thing to me about you once."
"She did not."
"Oh yes she did, with regard to getting you to open up and talk to me when things went wrong."
"Yeah, right." Urs huffed and flicked his head in denial but knowing that his mother had more than likely said something along those lines to Franky and thanking God she had as they walked through the lounge. "I don't believe you for one second Frau Buhler."
"Of course you don't." Franky teased, smirking and shaking her head as she turned to head for her office, leaving Urs standing in the lounge, feeling very uncomfortable in his jeans as she closed the door.
"What a woman!" Urs growled walking into the Music/Dance room several minutes later and still breathing deep as he sat to continue Kurt's lesson.

Poor Franky and Urs are suffering from Empty nest with Sylvie..

The kids have learned that Urs and Franky need their space to be alone at certain times.
