Here's another chapter to calm you all down. Please stop freaking out. All will be fine! I promise!
Chapter 6
Lynnea was numb from the news she’d just given to the father of the child she was carrying. She hadn’t expected him to hold her the way he had. His arms were so strong; they made her feel as if this would all be okay. Lynnea wanted to stay there in the silence, but Simon spoke.
“You two will need to talk this over and decide what course of action you’d like to take.”
“Right,” Urs said.
“I’ve arranged that Lynnea have a room near you at your hotel. You can talk tonight or tomorrow since you have the day off, but please come to an agreement soon so I can make plans with the press correspondents,” Simon put his hand Lynnea’s shoulder, “Will you be okay to ride back with Urs?”
“Yes,” Lynnea answered.
“Urs, may I talk to you before you go?”
“Of course.”
Lynnea grabbed her coat and went out to the hallway.
Urs sighed and couldn’t look Simon in the face.
“Urs I’m not here to scold you. I want you to realize how very serious this situation is-not just for you, but more for Lynnea. She’s very young and doesn’t know what to do. Please consider everything before making your decision.”
Simon left the room and Urs escorted Lynnea to the hotel.

Urs showed Lynnea to her room and told her he would try to grasp this news and talk to her I the morning. Lynnea looked very tired; he hoped she fell asleep quickly. The stress of the news she shared and the physical change of carrying a baby showed in her young face.
Urs walked past his room and knocked on David’s door. His tall friend came to the door and welcomed him in.
“What did Simon want?” David asked. “Did he congratulate you on two months without causing trouble?” David laughed.
“Lynnea’s here.”
“Lynnea?”
“My ex-wife.”
“Oh, that Lynnea.”
“Yeah,” Urs sighed as he sat.
“What’s the problem?” David went on.
“She’s pregnant.”
“Whoa! What? She came here to tell you that?”
“Yes.”
“Is she sure it’s yours?”
“I’m the only person she’s ever been with.”
“Whoa, okay.”
“What am I going to do David?”
“Oh man, Urs. Why are you asking me?”
“You’re my friend David. I need your advice. I don’t know what to do. I can’t just let her handle this on her own and I won’t leave you guys.”
“Sounds like you know what to do. You need to find something in the middle. Do what you can for Lynnea, yet keep doing what you do.”
“That actually makes sense.”
“Exactly. And when the kid is born you can decide how you’ll be involved.”
“Okay, no need to panic or change my plans or get married.”
“Not at all.”
“Thanks David.”
“Not a problem.”
Urs left the room and went to sleep feeling that the situation could be handled.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The next morning Urs took Lynnea out for breakfast. Urs stated talking.
“Thank you for coming and telling me this, Lynnea.”
“Of course,” she replied. “You have a right to know; it’s your child too.”
“Not everyone would have done that; most people wouldn’t want to deal with it.”
“There was no other option for me.”
“Good,” Urs said. “Lynnea, I’ve thought a lot about what this means and what we need to do. I’m not prepared to leave Il Divo.”
“I wouldn’t want you to! Your music is amazing; I bought the CD before coming,” Lynnea admitted.
“I do want to help you with whatever you need though. I won’t let my child grow up in need.”
“I hope so. I don’t think I could do it all on my own.”
“You won’t have to,” Urs smiled. “When are you going home?”
“I don’t know. I suppose it depends on what we decide.”
“Do you have a job to get back to?”
“Um, no. I lost my job.”
“Because of this?”
“Kind of.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.” Urs said.
“It’s all right. It’ll probably be easier this way without having to worry about the stress of work.”
“Since you don’t have anything waiting in the states, would you like to stay here a few days? You could come to a concert of ours.”
“Sure,” Lynnea said smiling for the first time since she arrived.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Urs met with Simon and they decided to keep the news of Urs’ child a secret from the fans for now. Urs kept his love life very private so hopefully the fans would not grow suspicious.
Lynnea laid low in Australia; she tried not to travel with Urs and Il Divo too much. As Urs promised, Lynnea had seats to the next show. She went and had a marvelous time. It was hilarious to be surrounded by thousands of screaming females. They held up signs and fought their way up to the stage to just touch the hand of their favorite Divo.
Lynnea sat next to a woman who was also at the concert on her own. She spoke as the concert ended.
“I’m Sony!” she exclaimed.
“Hi I’m Lynnea.”
“Who’s your favorite?”
“Oh, I don’t know, I’m a new fan.” Lynnea tried not to give anything away.
“I’m in love with David,” sighed Sony. She showed Lynnea her poster.
“Good choice, he’s such a sweetheart,” Lynnea agreed.
“Yeah…wait! How do you know he’s a sweetheart? Do you know him?”
“Not very well-I mean no!” Lynnea knew she’d been caught.
“Yes! You do! You know David Miller!! Will you introduce me??” Sony pleaded. “Please?”
“I—I really don’t think I can do that.”
Sony seemed rejected. “It’s okay, I’ll meet him some day.”
Lynnea felt bad for getting her hopes up then crushing them. She considered things then decided to go for it.
“Tell you what, why don’t you come to my hotel with me and if the guys happen to be there, you might be able to meet them.”
Sony screamed. “Yes! That’s perfect! I’ll do it! I’ll do anything!”
“Okay, just come with me.”
Lynnea hailed a cab and gave the driver the address.
“Now, Sony, if he’s not there you’ll just have to try another time.” Lynnea tried to brace her new friend for what might happen.
“Oh I know, I’ll be okay if I don’t see him. You should be prepared for if I do see him.”
Lynnea lead Sony up the elevator and to the hallway where she and the Divos were staying. Sony looked around her hoping for any sight of her beloved David. They got to Lynnea’s room and went in.
“Sorry he wasn’t around tonight; he must not be back yet.”
“It’s all right. Thanks for letting me come with you. How do you know David by the way?”
“Um, through Urs, would you like something to drink?” Lynnea tried to change the topic.
“No, I’m fine,” Sony answered.
Lynnea went to find something in the back of her room when there was a knock at the door.
“I’ll get your door,” Sony said
“No! Let me get-“ Lynnea tried to stop her, but Sony opened the door where Urs and David were standing outside.
“David Miller!” Sony said as she fainted.
Lynnea ran to the front of her room as Sony fainted. Urs and David instantly picked Sony up and laid her on the bed in the room. Lynnea brought out water to revive Sony.
David took over caring for Sony; Urs asked Lynnea to speak with him in the hall.
“Simon left an urgent message for you ; you need to call your friend Brittni right away.”
“What’s wrong, Urs?”
“I don’t know, but you can come use my phone.”
Lynnea followed him and got a connection to Brittni. She sounded to be on the edge of hysterics.
“Lynnea! It’s all gone! Everything is in ashes!”
“Brittni, what are you talking about?”
“Our apartment! It’s gone!”
“It burned down?”
“Yes! All of it! I’m so sorry to bother you now, but you had to know.”
“No, thank you for telling me.”
“Are you doing okay? Are you feeling well?”
“I’m fine, Brittni, take care of things there.”
Lynnea hung up the phone and sat by Urs.
“I’m so sorry.” He said genuinely.
Lynnea almost laughed, “It’s not the craziest thing that’s happened this week.”
“That’s true,” Urs agreed. “Where will you stay now?”
“I don’t know.”
Urs had an urge to help Lynnea more; he didn’t want to overstep the boundaries, but he asked anyhow.
“You can stay at my house.”
“Your house?”
“In Switzerland, it’s sits unused while I’m on tour.”
“Really?” Lynnea asked at this burst of kindness.
“Yeah. I want to help you and the baby to be as comfortable as possible.”
“Okay,” Lynnea decided quickly. “I’d like that.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
David dipped a washcloth in cool water and dabbed Sony’s forehead. She stirred but didn’t wake up. David started to hum as he nursed then started softly sing Unchained Melody. Sony slowly opened her eyes and looked up to see David.
David looked down at her and smiled. He kept singing as he offered Sony a glass of water. He helped her to sit up and she drank the water, never taking her eyes off David.
“Thank you,” Sony said when David stopped singing.
“Not a problem, I’m always looking to help a damsel in distress.” David smiled again and Sony felt her pulse quicken.
“I’m Sony.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Sony. I hope you enjoyed the concert.”
“Oh of course! You’re always wonderful!” Sony noticed that David was still holding her hand from when he helped her sit up. She blushed.
“You’re still holding my hand,” she stated.
“Do you mind?”
“Not at all.”
