Urs is still not thinking right if this is how he feels then he does not have feelings for Lynnea! Crying or Very sad

Urs would stay close to Lynnea if that what it meant to be with this little angel: his daughter.

They need to be a family and he needs to know he loves Lynnea as much as I believe she already loves him..

Oh Urs, wake up... you have to see that you love Lynnea. It is not enough to just love this new baby.

Does anyone have a brick we can hit Urs over the head with Question Question

Whoa! I'd better post another chapter before things get too violent! Ha! I'm so glad you guys are all so into it!

Chapter 12

That evening Geneva woke with a mighty howl.

“She has her daddy's lungs,” Lynnea announced picking up her daughter to feed her. Urs looked apologetic and stepped out to let Lynnea her privacy for feeding. He went to call his friends.

He called David, Carlos, Sebastien, and Simon. Then he called Lynnea's friend Brittni and offered to fly her to Switzerland for a new baby party. Everyone agreed to come and all booked flights for the next week.
~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Lynnea loved being a mother. Through the first week, she didn't even mind waking up in the middle of the night to feed Geneva. Lynnea tired to nap during the day when Geneva did so the hours in the middle of the night didn't get to her as much.

Geneva slept in the antique cradle in her room between Urs' room and Lynnea's room. When the little girl cried both Urs and Lynnea had monitors that carried her cries to them. Lynnea would go in to feed her if she was hungry then Urs would come in to rock her back to sleep. Urs was also the diaper-changer extraordinaire.
The next Saturday Ruthie prepared a meal and a large red chocolate cake for Geneva's baby party. Lynnea and Urs put their daughter in a pink dress and welcomed their guests into Urs' home.

Carlos and Cyd arrived with Sebastien. David came next with his now girlfriend Sony. Brittni arrived just before Simon. They all brought gifts for Geneva and also some things for Lynnea like a manicure set and soothing music cds. Seb brought Urs a multipack of ear plugs.

Geneva was adored by everyone. She seemed to like everyone too, especially Simon. She gazed at him intently as he held her with her piercing grey eyes that looked just like her fathers and his mother before him.
Geneva did start fussing after a few hours of being passed around.

“It's time for bed little girl,” Lynnea said as she lifted Geneva from David's arms.

“Can I help put her to bed?” Sony asked.

“Of course.”

Lynnea changed Geneva into a pajama set and fed her before setting her in her crib. She would the crystal mobile to spin above her cradle.

“She’s beautiful, Lynnea,” Sony said.

“Thank you. I love her more than anything.” Lynnea caressed Geneva's soft hair then sat to wait until the little girl closed her eyes for sleep.

“I wanted to thank you, Lynnea.”

“For what?”

“For helping me meet David. He's the most amazing man in the world I love him so much! I want to spend every moment with him for the rest of my life.”

“I'm so glad for you Sony!”

“Do you ever feel that way?”

“Me?” Lynnea asked. “About what?”

“Well...Urs.”

“Didn't David tell you the story of how this all happened?”

“Yes, he did. I just thought maybe since you two have been here together for so long that-”

“No. We're two people in a strange situation. We have a daughter to raise, but there's no romance to get in the way.”

“Well if that's what you want...” Sony's voice trailed off.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~

~Back in the Sitting Room~

Brittni sat at one side of the sofa where on the other side Carlos and Cyd sat with their arms around each other. She was rather uncomfortable without Lynnea in the room. Brittni had always been extremely shy and she didn't say anything to the celebrity men around her. Sebastien noticed this across the room and he went to Brittni and brought her a glass of lemonade.

He held it out to her and winked when she accepted it. Brittni looked away blushing furiously. Sebastien took a seat in the chair next to her.

“Have me met before?” Sebastien asked, turning on her full French playboy charm.

“I believe we have,” Brittni replied.

“Ah, of course. We shared a lovely dance.”

“Yes,” Brittni still couldn't look at him.

“I hope I can have the pleasure of dancing with you again. Soon, I hope.”

Brittni tried to hide the red that was still darkening on her cheeks, but Sebastien set his hand against her face and turned it to himself. His thumb caressed her jaw.

“Don't cover your face. The red in your cheeks brings out the magnificent blue of your eyes.”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The party started to break up around 10. Carlos and Cyd were the first to leave. Carlos drove Cyd back to their hotel in Bern holding her hand the entire time.

Cyd sighed a big sigh.

“What's wrong, my amor?”

“Oh nothing,” she answered sighing again.

“No, what is it?”

“It's nothing, don't worry.”

Carlos looked at this fiancé who looked blind-eyed out the window.

Carlos and Cyd arrived at the hotel and Cyd plopped onto the couch well Carlos prepared for bed. When he came out again Cyd was sitting on the couch, still in a melancholy mood.

“My dearest Cydalia, why are there clouds in your eyes?”

“Oh Carlos, don't worry. I'll be fine.”

Carlos sat next to her and pulled her over to lean on him.

“You are going to be my wife. I want to grant your every wish, please tell me what's going on.”

Cyd sighed then eventually looked up into Carlos' eyes. “Tonight at the party wasn't Geneva beautiful?”

“Yes,” Carlos agreed. “She's a gorgeous child. Her parents love her very much.”

“Lynnea obviously loves taking care of her and being a mother.”

“So what is the problem quierda?”

“I want a baby, Carlos.”

Carlos laughed. “Is that it?”

“Yes,” Cyd replied meekly.

Carlos kissed her then spoke with a glint in his eye.

“Well then, let's get started,” and he whisked her off to bed.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Soon after Carlos and Cyd left the party, David and Sony left, then Sebastien who offered to take Brittni back to town. Brittni looked very nervous and unsure about that idea, but Lynnea answered for her.

“Oh, Sebastien, how nice! I'm sure Brittni would appreciate that! Right Brittni?”

“Of course,” Brittni said through clenched teeth. Sebastien took Brittni's arm and looked back at Lynnea and mouthed “I hate you!”

Lynnea mouthed back, “I'm sorry! I owe you one!”

Lynnea went to the sitting room to say goodbye to Simon and good night to Urs.

“Simon, thank you so much for coming and for the lovely gifts.”

“My pleasure, Lynnea.”

Lynnea then turned to Urs and laid her hand on his shoulder subconsciously. “I'm going to bed. When Geneva wakes up, she'll be hungry, so I'll get her when she cries the first time.”

“Good night, Lynnea.”

“Good night.”

Lynnea went upstairs and Simon spoke to Urs.

“Now that it's just the two of us, I have something very important to talk to you about.”

“Sure, what is it Simon?”

He sighed and turned to his bag. He pulled out a folded tabloid. It was the morning's edition of “The Swiss Snitch.” The cover screamed “Il Divo Baby Daddy!” and there was a picture of Lynnea and Urs in the backyard. Urs recognized it as the day he'd thrown Megan out and then felt the baby kick.

“What the hell is this?” Urs said.

“You tell me. The people at the snitch say someone sold them that picture, but they won't budge on who it was.”

“I know who it was! Megan!”

“Megan? Megan Rivaldi? The hair dresser?”

“Yes! She was here that day trying to seduce me and I threw her out. She must have stuck around and seen Lynnea.”

Simon shook his head. “That explains the cover, but what about the ones on the inside?”

Urs opened the magazine and saw still from his day at the baby supply store with Lynnea. Urs skimmed the article. He caught phrases like “Urs Buhler dumps girlfriend for the mother of his child,” “pregnant woman is supposedly American,” “The two remain unmarried with no plans of heading down the aisle,” “According to the date of these photos, the baby may be coming any day if it hasn't already arrived.”

Urs dropped the magazine to the floor.

“What now Simon?”

“I don't know Urs. It's your life and it's Lynnea life. You get to decide what you do. The fans may object, but ultimately the decision is yours.”

Urs slowly nodded his head. “I'll tell Lynnea tomorrow and we'll discuss what to do.”

“Thank you Urs.” Simon squeezed Urs' shoulder then left him to think.

Chapter 13

Urs watched Simon drive out of the driveway and away towards Bern. He suddenly realized how tired he was. He trudged upstairs and slipped into his pajama pants. He heard Geneva's soft whimpering and he remembered that Lynnea said she would get the baby tonight. He slipped into bed but as tired as he was, he still could not sleep.

About an hour later he heard Geneva again and he pulled himself out of bed to go check on her. He softly pushed the door to the baby's room open. The light of the moon and stars shone through the window. The light shone on the rocking chair where Lynnea was sleeping with Geneva resting against her chest. Urs stopped and just looked at his daughter and her mother, then remembered the impact that these two females could have on his career and the success of his group. He tried to push it from his mind; he could worry about that tomorrow.

Urs lifted Geneva and kissed her head softly. The cries he heard had already stopped and her placed her into her crib where she quickly went back to sleep. Urs then turned back to Lynnea. She sat peacefully in the rocking chair. Urs thought about waking her, but couldn't do it. Instead he slipped and hand behind her neck and the other under her knees and lifted her. Her head rested on his shoulder as he carried her to her room. The sheets were already drawn back and he placed her gingerly on the bed. He pulled the sheets up around her. Her eyes fluttered for a moment and she smiled. He placed his hand on hers.

“Urs,” she murmured then shut her eyes again.

Urs leaned down to her and placed a kiss at her temple. He quickly stood and left the room and returned to bed. This time he fell asleep quickly.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Lynnea awoke at dawn with the light coming through the windows. She looked at the clock and realized she hadn't been up to check on Geneva all night. Lynnea sat up and remembered her dream from that night. She'd been in the arms of a man and he'd laid her in bed then kissed her before disappearing out the door. She tried to remember the face of the man, but that part was blurry.

Lynnea quickly got out of bed and dressed. She went in to give Geneva her breakfast. After, Lynnea went down to the kitchen to get her own breakfast. Urs entered after her and sat down across from her.

“Good morning Urs,” Lynnea said.

“Morning. Lynnea there's something we need to talk about.”

She smiled at him. “Sure, what is it?”

He cringed at the fact that she had no idea of the craziness ahead for both of them.

“It's about us,” he started. Lynnea inhaled abruptly.

“What do you mean?”

“There's a problem. That day when Megan was here, she didn't just leave like I thought she did...She saw you.” He waited for a response from Lynnea, but she said nothing.

“She took a picture of us and sold it to a tabloid. Also there are pictures from our shopping trip.”

Lynnea looked around nervously, “Do they know who I am?”

“Not yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.”

Lynnea stood quickly, “Will you excuse me for a minute.”

She didn't wait for an answer; she slowly stood from her seat and walked out the kitchen door. Urs didn't follow her; she obviously needed time to compute and think this over. News like this could change her life forever. She was now a tabloid star who people might recognize. Urs sat opposite her spot at the table and silently waited.

Lynnea came back in a relatively short time. She looked about the same, no pale complexion or teary eyes as Urs had expected. She returned to her seat and continued eating. She smiled up at him.

“So, do you have any sort of plan?”

Urs was shocked. She was handling this far too well.

“No,” he answered. “I have no idea. It's really up to you I guess. They know about you and they know about Geneva, so it's how we choose to react.”

“Right. Well, let me think about that for a few days.”

“Take your time.” Urs stood and left the kitchen, still dumbfounded.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

David and Sony had now been dating for almost 7 months. In those months they'd shared so much of their lives, their stories, their pasts and now they shared a love. Both felt it, but neither had verbalized it yet. They had also not been intimate beyond cuddling and heavy kissing. They traveled together to Switzerland to visit Urs and Lynnea and the new baby; they stayed in a fully furnished apartment building that was rented out in small time sections.

Sony's birthday would pass while they were in Switzerland. For Sony's birthday David planned out an entire day for them to spend together. He woke before her and went to the kitchen to make her a special breakfast. He arranged the eggs, bacon, and toast with a vase of flowers on a tray and brought them to her in bed just as she was waking up. She sat up and smiled at him.

“Happy birthday darling.” David set the tray in her lap and planted a kiss on her lips.

“Thanks babe!”

David sat on the edge of her bed and watched her smile as she ate her breakfast.

After that he told her to go down town and get her hair and nails done and buy a special new dress for the evening.

“What do you have up your sleeve, Mr. Miller?” Sony asked.

“You'll have to wait and see,” he winked.

Sony did go out and treat herself to a spa day with a new hairdo and new makeup. She also bought a new dress that she knew would make David weak in the knees. She took it back to the apartment to change right before she went out. David was not home when she got there, but he'd left a note.

Dearest Sony,

Be ready for me to pick you up at 6:30. There are many adventures in store for us tonight.

~David

Sony smiled and looked at the clock; she had just enough time to refresh her makeup and slip into her new dress and shoes. She'd just hooked the last button of her dress when she heard the door open and click back closed.

“Sony?”

“Right here,” she said stepping out into the light of the room. She looked at David who was dressed in a grey tux. She thought he was the handsomest he'd ever been at that moment.

David gasped when he say the navy blue dress wrap around the upper curves of Sony's body then float down from her waist. He walked to her and pulled her into a long, deep kiss.

After a minute, Sony pulled away. “Maybe we should get going.”

“I'd rather just stay here with you all night.”

Sony giggled.

David did pull away and escort Sony out into the night. He took her for a marvelous dinner at Bern's best restaurant then they strolled around a night garden. Lights hid in the trees, illuminating the flowers around them. They walked mostly in silence, hand in hand.

David turned to her, “Sony, I still haven't given you your birthday present.”

“Oh David you've done so much already today!”

“What I can give you will never be as much as I wish I could give you.”

She smiled; a blush still came to her cheeks when he complimented her like that.

David pulled a long box from his jacket and Sony took it, hands trembling. She opened the box and lying inside was a bracelet of diamonds and sapphires.

“David! It's so beautiful!”

He picked up the bracelet and clasped it around her wrist. She glance at it there on her arm then pulled his head down to hers kissing him as passionately as she could. He wrapped his arms around her waist feeling her curves through the silk and chiffon. She ran her finger tips up into his hair. They held each other as tight as they possibly could and still wished they could get closer.

Sony finally pulled her head back and looked deep into David's eyes. She didn't even need to speak to tell David that she was ready to go back to the apartment. They got back as quickly as they could. As they walked in the door of the apartment they grabbed each other again.

Sony snaked her hands around David's torso and around his back under his suit jacket. David moved his hands all over her body: her waist, her stomach, her bare shoulders. They started to undress each other as they moved back to the bedroom. David meticulously undid every button in the back of Sony's dress, driving her wild as he kissed the skin above each button.

David and Sony sat entwined on the bed in their undergarments and David spoke “I love you, Sony.”

“I love you too David.”

David laid her back on the bed then moved on top of her and they showed each other the love that they felt.
After, they lay still with their arms around each other, letting their bodies rest. “Happy Birthday my love,” David whispered in her ear as she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

At Urs' home in Switzerland things were silent. Even Geneva didn't seem to cry as loudly, as if she knew things were tense and unsure. Lynnea and Urs wandered the house thinking to themselves. Lynnea put Geneva to bed for the night and changed into her pajamas. She'd taken to wearing pajama pants and just a camisole tank top to bed so feeding Geneva in the middle of the night would be easy. Then she remembered that she'd left her novel on the window seat downstairs; she started down to get it.

Urs was also preparing for bed. He wore only a pair of long forest green pants. He decided to go down to the kitchen for a drink of water. As he passed the sitting room he saw Lynnea's profile in the light from the window. He walked in.

“Hiding in the shadows?”

Lynnea jumped and dropped the book she'd been grabbing, “Oh my! You startled me!”

“I'm sorry,” Urs apologized.

“It's all right. I was just grabbing my book.”

“I see.”

Urs stopped talking when Lynnea shifted into the light. He could now see her features. Her eyes were glowing in the starlight. He also noticed the pajama top she wore. He tried to hide that he'd noticed the extra skin, but Lynnea could feel his eyes on her. She instinctively wrapped her arms around herself.

“I'd better get to bed,” she said beginning to move around him.

He turned with her.

“Lynnea,” he said and she stopped and looked back at him.

“Yes?”

“I like having you here. I know that you weren't planning on being in the spotlight, but I want you to know that the tabloids don't bother me. Let them think what they think and tell the world that we're two lovers living in sin. I don't care what they say. I'd like you to stay.”

He took a step closer to her and then another.

The thoughts were racing through Lynnea's mind. She couldn't think of anything to say.

Suddenly Urs was right in front of her. His hand came up to her cheek. Lynnea closed her eyes and leaned into his hand. She sighed feeling warm contact on her face. She opened her eyes and looked up into Urs'. Urs then knelt toward her Lynnea felt him nearing her and wanted so badly for their lips to meet.

“Urs,” she whispered as he came ever closer.

He was inches from her when she suddenly turned her face away from him. Her hair tickled his face.

“What are you doing?” she asked willing her heart to stop beating so hard.

“I'm sorry.”

Lynnea took a step back. “I can't Urs; I just can't.” She turned and fled the room. Urs watched her run up the stairs and into her room where she closed and locked the door.

Urs needed an idea to save Lynnea's reputation from the tarnishing tabloids. He picked up the phone to dial David. He didn't care what time it was; they had to talk.

Strange as it may seem HOW ABOUT THE TRUTH !! THEY WERE MARRIED AND HAD A BABY!

That would be hard to swallow for Megan then!!!

I just think they are going to lose each other and as much as I would love them together it would be nice to read more of them enjoying each other and their daughter!!!

I would hate for the story to end just having them together but not having a family life...

Laura

Oh and if either walk out I HAVE MORE BRICKS FOR EACH OF THEM!!! Mad

I am happy for David... BUT, I was waiting for the talk in the morning between Urs and Lynnea...and that
was not a TALK ... that was a passing by each other and a polite good morning. Neutral

Can we go back to bed and get up tomorrow .... and with no one else around, wouldn't it be a bit more
normal for Urs and Lynnea to appreciate a closeness you would think they would both feel for their daughter.
In fact ... how they actually feel about each other Question Sad ....

These first precious days .. alone with your newborn should bring out your real emotions.

Chapter 14

It was two o' clock in the morning; David and Sony slept with his arms still wrapped around her waist. David was rudely awakened by the loud vibrating of his cell phone still in his pants pocket on the floor. 'How did I forget to turn that off?' he thought. He thanked God it hadn't gone off earlier while he and Sony had been....“busy.” David pulled Sony closer letting the call go to voice mail. Less than a minute later the phone went off again. David sighed and chose to ignore it again. He buried his face in Sony's neck.

The phone went off five more times and Sony started to stir. David finally rolled out of the bed and grabbed his phone. He stepped out of the room and answered the call.

“What the hell do you want?”

“David, finally. I need to talk!” It was Urs on the phone and David seriously considered hanging up the phone and hiding it in the freezer until morning, but he kept talking.

“Couldn't this have possibly waited until morning? I was......comfortable.”

“With Sony? I'm sorry man, but this really couldn't wait.”

David sighed and took a seat on the sofa. “Okay, what is it?”

“I'm in love with Lynnea,” Urs blurted out.

“Really?”

“Yes. Really. I love Lynnea. I want to be near her for the rest of my life.”

“Slow down, Urs. Does she even know about the tabloids yet? Does she realize that she's a media target now?”

“Yes, I told her this morning. She hasn't decided on anything yet, but I told her I'd like her to stay.”

“Wait, did you tell her how you feel?”

“No....but I tried to kiss her.”

“You did?”

“Yes, she ran off after that.”

“She's probably on a little emotional overload, not to mention she just had a baby!”

“I know Dave, I know I shouldn't have done that tonight, but I just couldn't stop myself.”

“I understand the feeling man,” David's thoughts wandered back to the woman that was sleeping in his bed.
“But what now, Urs?”

“I don't know. I'm afraid that she'll leave to escape the reputation this has made for her. I wish I could save her from their judgment.”

“That's a tough one man.”

“Do you have any ideas?”

“Well, you said you want to save her from their judgment, kind of like make her an honest woman. That leads me to think of marriage.”

“Marriage? Why would she marry me?”

“Why not? It would only help her. It would give Geneva a stable family unit. It would give her financial stability which she needs since she lost her job. And then the press would leave you alone a bit I think. Married couples aren't near as fun to poke fun on.”

“Right...”

“And Urs, don't sell yourself short, what woman wouldn't want to be married to you?”

Urs chuckled a bit at that.

“Maybe that will work. I could just mention that option to her.”

“Exactly, and that would solve you're dilemma too. You could be with the woman you love.”

“Yeah,” Urs said smiling. “Thanks man! You're the best!”

“I know, I know. Now I'm going back to bed!”

“Have fun, my friend!”

“Good night.”

David ended the call then really did throw the phone in the freezer. He walked back to the bedroom. As he got in bed, Sony rolled onto him and they celebrated their love again.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“Hello?” Brittni answered her cell phone warily. The number that appeared on her caller ID had been showing all day. Brittni knew it was Sebastien and she wasn't fully prepared to speak to him.

“Brittni!” he exclaimed in his adorable French accent. “I've been trying to get a hold of you all day! A left you a message or two.”

“Seven.”

“Excuse me?”

“You left me seven messages, Mr. Izambard.”

“Please, call me Sebastien.”

“You left me seven messages, Sebastien.”

“Ah, yes. Well I suppose I was rather desperate to talk to you.”

“Yes. Is there something I can do for you?”

“May I take you out for dinner tonight?”

Brittni didn't answer and she pulled the phone away from her ear. She glanced around and took a deep breath. She put the phone back to her ear.

“Brittni, are you there? Can you hear me?”

“Yes. I'm here.”

“So, will you go out with me tonight?”

“........Yes, but only if you promise to be yourself. You don't have to over-flatter me or anything ridiculous.”

“Was I being ridiculous?”

“Yes.”

“All-right. I'll pick you up at 8 o' clock.”

“What should I wear?” Brittni asked reluctantly.

“You'll be ravishing in whatever you wear my dear.”

“I told you-”

“I mean, wear a cocktail dress.”

“Okay, goodbye.” Brittni flipped her phone shut and stomped out to find a dress to wear.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“Ready querida?” Carlos said coming up behind Cydalia as she prepared for bed at the sink in the bathroom.
“Almost,” she answered.

Carlos snaked his arms around her hips and kissed the back of her neck. “I don't want to miss any chance to get you the child that you want. It's far too much fun working at it.”

Cyd suddenly felt weak in the knees and she put down her wash cloth. “I'm ready now,” she stated untying her robe and letting it fall off her shoulders. Carlos wiggled his eyebrows and pulled his off too. They scampered quickly off to bed.

Couldn't Urs propose instead of giving her this OPTION my God man she will run for the hills thinking you don't love her just want to get away from the problems with the rumors.. Shocked Sad

If you really love her Urs start showing her and make her sit down and listen when you tell her you have fallen in love with her and you want the 3 of you to be a REAL loving family.... Rolling Eyes

Chapter 15

“Would you like anything else here?” the waiter asked.

“No thank you,” Brittni replied trying to be polite.

“One more glass of champagne,” Sebastien answered. The waiter poured it then left them again. Brittni sat across from Sebastien Izambard at a new restaurant that was having its grand opening that night. The restaurant was also an art gallery and had a dance floor. It was not Brittni's type of place, but she only had to make it through one night.

Though she found Sebastien extremely physically attractive and his charm quite flattering, Brittni was a logical, grounded girl who knew better than to fall for a dashing celebrity, especially a French one. This “date” was highly uncomfortable and the tight black dress didn't help any. Brittni planned to return it the next morning.
“Are you sure there's nothing else you'd like, darling?”

“Yes, Mr. Izambard,” she emphasized. “I'm fine.”

“Sebastien,” he reminded winking at her.

“Right.” Brittni looked around, again avoiding his gaze. “How did you get us into a place like this on opening night?”

“Being famous has it's perks of course. I only had to make a few phone calls.”

“Of course.”

“Would you like to dance if you're done with your meal?”

“No thank you.”

“Are you sure? We could order dessert, or we could go somewhere else for dessert. Really, there must be something I can do to make this night deserving of you.”

“No. I think it's time I went back to the hotel. I'll go-” Brittni reached for her wrap and clutch readying to leave.

“No, at least let me take you,” Sebastien jumped up at that and the act that he'd been playing suddenly dropped. “I'm sorry; let me help you with that.” He gently took her wrap and placed it around her shoulders. “May I walk you back?”

Brittni studied him a moment. “Fine.”

Sebastien paid the bill and started Brittni back.

“When are you going back to America?” Seb attempted making small talk.

“Thursday,” Brittni replied.

“The next time we're in your part of America, would you mind if I gave you a call?” Sebastien asked hesitantly.

“Sebastien, really!!” Brittni stopped walking. “What are you trying to do? Have I not made my point that I'm not interested? You're a very handsome man and you are tremendously talented, but you're not the man for me. Please don't be offended, but leave me alone!”

“But you won't leave me alone!”

“What are you talking about?”

“I think I'm in love with you!”

“Now you're completely insane!” Brittni yelled and started to walk away. Sebastien caught her hand and held it to his chest.

“You're all I think about. You're the only girl, my entire life, who's managed to ignore every single charm and trick that I have. My father always told me that's how he knew he loved my mother. She couldn't stand him so much that she threw a shoe at his face. Now I've met you. You're the girl I'm pursuing and all you want to do is go home.”

Brittni gaped at Sebastien, jaw alack, eyes wide.

“There's only one way to be completely sure that it's you.” Sebastien dropped his voice down as he neared Brittni.

“What's that?” she whispered, suddenly under his spell.

“This.” He placed a finger under her chin and tilted her head to his. He placed his lips on hers. Brittni didn't stop him.

When he pulled away she stayed in the warmth of his arms and asked “Were you right?”

Sebastien smiled showing his boyish grin, “Oh yes.”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Lynnea had an awful night after she'd run into Urs in the sitting room. She'd shut the door then sank to the floor and cried. She couldn't allow herself to develop romantic feelings for Urs because if things didn't work out Geneva's life would be affected even worse.

With her head spinning, she'd tried to go to sleep, but the racing thoughts kept her up. She'd finally managed to fall asleep around four AM when Geneva had woken up and needed to be fed. The next day, thankfully Urs had been gone. Ruthie said he'd been up before dawn to go out of town and wouldn't be back for a few days. Ruthie had helped with the baby while Urs was gone.

Three days after Urs left, Lynnea came down one morning with Geneva in hand to find Ruthie slaving in the kitchen. It was obvious she'd already been at work for hours.

“Ruthie what are you doing?” Lynnea asked.

“Urs called and asked for formal dinner tonight.”

“Is someone coming?”

“He didn't say who, but he said that he's going to be discussing important business matters.”

“Would you like me to help you? I can put Geneva's play pen in the corner there.” Lynnea offered her help.

“No dear, you're not supposed to help because you're invited to the dinner.” Ruthie smiled.

“All right. If you're sure.”

“Yes, quite sure. You should go up and pamper yourself. Get ready for a big night.”

Lynnea was thoroughly confused, but she did as Ruthie said. Lynnea picked a new dress from the post-pregnancy ones Ruthie had made her and did her nails. Geneva was content all afternoon so Lynnea let herself get carried away in the pampering. When she was done she felt the best she had since she'd gotten pregnant. She felt attractive again.

At seven o' clock, Ruthie knocked at Lynnea's door.

“Come in,” she called.

“Everything's ready dear, and he's waiting in the dining room.”

“He?”

“Urs, dear.”

“Only Urs?”

“Yes. Now I'll take care of Geneva all evening. You go and have a nice time; be open minded.”

Lynnea headed for the door slowly, but Ruthie spoke again.

“And dearie.....you look lovely in that color.”

Lynnea smiled. She did feel lovely in this new dusty pink dress. The dress played up the new curves that she's acquired from being a mother.

Lynnea walked down the stairs and placed her hand on the handle of the dining room door. She took one last deep breath and pushed the door open.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Urs looked over the table Ruthie had prepared and smiled. The food looked amazing and the setting was beautiful. She used the good royal blue table cloth with gold overlay. Urs' mother's favorite China was on the table along with the fine silver. Urs walked around the table taking in the aroma of the food. The scent mixed with the smell of pine burning in the fire place. Urs poked at the fire, making it jump with sparks. He stared into the flames and planned what he would say. He put a hand over his inside jacket pocket feeling the little box inside.

He felt abnormally calm for the conversation he was about to have.

He looked up when he heard the door click open.

Lynnea stepped in looking more beautiful than Urs had ever seen her look before. He wished he could run to her at that moment and take her in his arms, but he stayed where he was.

“Good evening, Urs,” she spoke first waving shyly across the room.

“Good evening.” Urs' mouth was dry. He willed himself to move forward. He gestured to the table, “I hope you're hungry. Ruthie's done her best work.”

“I am, thank you.” Lynnea said gliding to the table. Urs whisked over her chair and slide it out for her. She smiled at him as she sat. He sat opposite her.

“What's the occasion tonight?” Lynnea asked.

“Just a dinner for the parents of a beautiful little girl.”

Lynnea studied his face, but then let it go and tried to relax. They both took helpings of the succulent turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, and creamed corn. They made easy conversation as they ate.

After the main course, Urs brought out a chocolate swirl cheesecake. They finished their cake then stood by the fire with flutes of champagne.
“What's our toast?” Lynnea asked.
“To Geneva, a little girl that we would both do anything for, for her well being, for her happiness, and for her proper upbringing.”

Lynnea looked suspicious, but agreed, “To Geneva.”

They drank then Urs spoke again, “I do have something to ask of you Lynnea.”

“Yes?”

“Il Divo has been chosen as the theme singers at this year's BAFTA Awards in London. Would you like to accompany me down the red carpet and to the show?”

“You'd like me to come with you? As your date?”

“Yes.”

“All right. That would be fun.”

“You can go and buy a dress in Paris if you'd like. I happen to know that Cydalia and Sony are going on a shopping trip there, and they'd love to have you come along.”

“That sounds great.”

“I have something for you that you might consider wearing...” Urs pulled a small aqua blue box with white ribbon from his jacket pocket. Lynnea instantly recognized the trademark Tiffany's box. She took it from him and pulled the ribbon and took off the top. Inside was a velvet box. Lynnea expected earrings or a bracelet to wear to the show, but her stomach dropped when inside the box was a large diamond ring.

Chapter 16

Lynnea stared at the ring. Urs took the box from her hand and got down on one knee in front of her at their place by the fire. He took her hand as well.

“Lynnea, you've made it clear that you're not interested in a romantic relationship with me, but with this ring I offer you a life of safety and comfort for you and our daughter. You can live here and things can stay the same as they've been, but you can live as a married woman without the secrecy and rumors behind it. I promise you my loyalty and my resources. You'll have a fair share of my fortune and properties. Geneva will grow up with a mother and father who care for her and are both always there for her.”

Lynnea couldn't say anything as she looked down at Urs, still on his knee holding her hand and ring in the other. She felt her heart beating in her ears. She could feel the blood rushing from her head. Lynnea couldn't decide whether to burst into tears or laughter. Half of her was scared out of her mind and half was overflowing with joy.

Urs looked expectant and Lynnea knew she should say something.

“Um, thank you,” is what she did say.

Urs stood realizing the romance of the moment was lost. “Just promise me you'll think about it.” He seemed utterly rejected.

“I don't need to think about it,” Lynnea suddenly blurted surprising even herself. “I'll do it.”

Urs took a moment to compute then was overcome with his excitement. He took her in his arms and squeezed her tight. He knew a kiss would not be appropriate no matter how much he wanted to kiss her. He allowed himself to smell her hair, to just breathe in her scent while she hugged him back.

Lynnea pulled away and they stood awkwardly for a moment. Urs realized he still held the ring in the box. He quickly pulled it out and slid it on to Lynnea's finger. They laughed a little then stood awkwardly again.
“Uh...I suppose we should get married soon,” Lynnea said.

“Yes, whenever you'd like,” Urs agreed. “You can make any decisions you'd like. You're obviously the professional.”

“Right. Well I have a few ideas of what I'd like. I had plenty of time to think about that when I planned them all the time.”

“Good, good, whatever you'd like. Cost isn't a problem.”

“Thank you.” Then they were back to silence.

“Well, maybe we should go tell Ruthie,” Urs offered.

“Yes!” agreed Lynnea, thankful for the idea to get them out of the awkward silence.

When Urs told Ruthie, she leaped up from the rocking chair in Geneva's chair and ran to hug him, then she hugged Lynnea. Tears were running down her face and her words were switching between English and German erratically. Lynnea just smiled and tried to understand.

In the loud celebration Geneva woke up. Urs went to her. “Hello little girl, did we wake you up?”

Urs rocked her and she quieted down quickly. Urs kept talking to her, “Your parents are getting married Gen. You're going to have a wonderful family forever.”

Geneva almost seemed to understand, because she looked up and smiled at her parents.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Urs lay awake that night. He couldn’t believe that Lynnea had agreed that readily to become his wife.
He was so excited to be able to introduce Lynnea as his future wife. He wished he could tell her how happy he was. He wished he could confess his deep feelings and desire for her, but respected her far too much for that. Urs thought on the time, the years that he’d spend with Lynnea. Someday he’d tell her and perhaps someday she’d be able to return the feelings.

He rolled over and saw the empty side of the king bed he slept in. He wondered if Lynnea would someday fill that emptiness. He imagined wrapping his arm around her in the middle of the night when a thunder storm woke them. He could remember the scent of her hair and hugged a pillow to him wishing it was her.
He finally drifted off to sleep and dreamed of Lynnea all night.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Cyd sat on the edge of the bed she shared with Carlos. She and he had spent a lot of time there recently and Cyd was checking to see if that time had paid off. She forced herself to not look at the meter until the timer buzzed. She peeked at it though one eye and her heart sank as she saw the two red lines on the meter. She dropped and slide off the side of the bed and onto the floor. She buried her head in her arms and started to sob.

Carlos came home 15 minutes later, a large bouquet in hand. He quickly set it down, though, when he saw Cydalia crying on the floor.

“Cydalia, my love, what is wrong?”

She looked up at him and could barely get the words out, “It still hasn’t worked.” She handed him the pregnancy test.

“Darling, we haven’t been trying that long.”

“But this was supposed to be my best time to get pregnant!” another wave of tears hit her.

Carlos thought to himself, ‘She’s taking this pretty hard, pretty fast. If she’s this hormonal now, what will she be like when she’s pregnant?’

He looked down at the meter Cyd had handed him then picked up the box that it came in. He compared the two.

“Why do you say you’re not pregnant, quierida?” he asked her.

“Because, there’re two red lines; that means I’m not pregnant.”

“The box says that means pregnant,” he said, handing her the box.

“Well that’s not possible,” she stated. “There have been two red lines since we started trying.” She looked at the box and did see that two red lines meant pregnant.

“Mi amor, I believe that means you were pregnant even before you wanted to be. We’ve been trying and trying and we didn’t even have to.”

“I’m sorry,” Cyd said blushing at her mistake.

“Don’t apologize, I didn’t mind it one bit!” He winked. “In fact, I believe that we should have an intimate celebration right now!”

Cyd agreed and they fell to the bed beside them.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Two weeks later, Lynnea flew to Paris with Sony and Cydalia. They were in search of many, many dresses: an evening gown for all three of them, a wedding dress for Lynnea and Cydalia and bridesmaid’s dresses for the weddings as well. Lynnea was used to being in fancy dress shops, but she’d never been the one trying the dresses on. She now understood why her clients had been so excited; the feeling was really thrilling. She felt like a princess being fit into dress after dress and being told how beautiful she looked in each one.

Lynnea found a silver dress that she liked for the awards show then went to work helping Cyd find her perfect dress. They found one with an empire waist since Cyd would be showing by her wedding in May. The bridesmaid’s dresses were easily found and ordered. Sony also found a dress for the awards show. It was an exotic dress that was a little out of the mainstream, but she loved it.

The last dress to find was Lynnea’s wedding dress. Lynnea walked to the back of the store to look for something very simple and inexpensive, but Cyd and Sony pulled her along to a couture shop across the street.

“I don’t want anything fancy. It’s going to be a very small wedding,” Lynnea objected.

“Urs told us to not let you settle for anything less than perfect,” Cyd admitted.

“Money isn’t a problem. You get whatever you want!” added Sony.

The shop was a small wonderland. Lynnea was immediately whisked to her own private room where she was served champagne and finger sandwiches. Cyd and Sony and three attendants came into the room each holding a towering stack of dresses.

Lynnea started trying on dress after dress and convinced the other girls that she did want a short dress because it was an informal wedding.

“Girls, this really is ridiculous,” Lynnea protested as Sony zipped the seemingly hundredth dress of the day.
Cyd gasped, “You haven’t seen this one sweetie!”

Lynnea turned slowly to the mirror and had to agree that the dress was gorgeous…..and it fit well. She looked amazing.

The attendant stepped up, “I know that look.” She smiled and placed a sample veil on Lynnea’s head.
Lynnea looked at her reflection feeling tears come to her eyes.

She heard Sony sigh with happiness to her left and she looked up and laughed.

“So?” Cyd asked.

“…..Okay. I’ll get it.”

Sony and Cyd clapped and Lynnea looked at herself in the mirror again, for the first time excited for her wedding.

Chapter 17

A month later, Urs, Lynnea, Ruthie, and Geneva all flew to London for the awards show. Ruthie was coming along to watch after Geneva when Urs and Lynnea went out.

Urs watched after Geneva while Ruthie did Lynnea’s hair and helped her get ready for the awards show. Lynnea got nervous because she was going to walk the red carpet with Urs and would have to pose for pictures and answer questions with the interviewers.

When there was a knock at the door, Ruthie got it and came back in to the room with Geneva. Lynnea fed her before getting into her dress.

“Oh, Lynnea this is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen you,” Ruthie said.

“Thank you, Ruthie.” Lynnea smiled.

Lynnea kissed Geneva’s forehead then grabbed her clutch before heading out the door and to the elevator.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Urs waited in the lobby with David, Carlos, and Sebastien. They all waited impatiently except Seb who was completely at ease and had been for the last month.

“Settle down boys,” he said laughing at them. “They’re all going to be stunning and you’ll drool the same as you always do.”

“Well where’s your date, Mr. Playboy?” David asked.

“Don’t have one,” he answered.

“No date? You?” Urs looked shocked.

“Nope.” Seb leaned against the bench nonchalantly.

“How can you, king of womanizing, not have a date?” Carlos demanded.

“Didn’t try to find one.”

“Why?” All three men asked in sync.

“The girl I wanted to take was unable to attend.”

“Who?” they all asked again.

“My friends, it looks as if our limousines are here. I will see you at the show.” Sebastien walked calmly out of the hotel with his hands in his pockets. He got in the first limo and it drove away. Each of the men would ride in their own limo so that Il Divo had more coverage time.

The three men left went back to anxiously waiting. Carlos leapt up when he saw Cydalia cascading down the stairs in her scarlet 20’s style dress. He greeted her with a kiss and they walked arm in arm to the next waiting limo.

Next Sony came down the stairs wearing an exotic green and yellow print dress with daring cuts at her sides. David twirled her into his arms and whispered in her ear, “You look ravishing.”

She giggled and they laced their fingers to catch their limo.

Urs waited impatiently until finally he saw a Lynnea in her dress of silver sequins round the corner and float down the stairs. The dress draped down from her neck and cinched under the bust. Sequins were descended down the dress from the waist and the silky grayish silver fabric floated down over her hips and to the floor. Ruthie had done up her hair in a braided twist on her head. She shyly walked up to him and waited for him to say something first.

He took his hand in his and placed a kiss on her cheek. “You look wonderful, Lynnea.”

“Thank you.”

“Ready?”

“Yes!”

He placed his arm around her waist, one finger brushing the bare skin of her back from the low scoop of her dress. They walked out to the final awaiting limo that carried them off to the awards show.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Urs and Lynnea arrived at the awards show red carpet and Lynnea was amazed at the mass of reporters and photographers waiting to snap there pictures, just of them walking into a building.

She and Urs had discussed with Simon how they were to act and respond to questions on the red carpet. They were supposed to act as much like a real happily engaged couple would. When asked about the wedding they would tell the truth about a small, private wedding. When asked about Geneva, they would smile and say what a wonderful little girl she was. They would try to avoid any questions of romance by Lynnea just smiling and blushing.

Urs squeezed Lynnea’s hand as the door man opened the door and the voices of screaming fans filled the limo. Urs stepped out first then offered his hand to Lynnea. He continued to hold her hand as they walked past the first set of camera men. Urs was a natural at the posing for the camera and Lynnea found it very easy to pose next to him and smile.

As they walked farther down the carpet Urs stayed closer to Lynnea, always keeping his hand in his or at her elbow or in the small of her back. They answered all their questions with grace and charm.

The awards show was rather surreal for Lynnea. She saw stars giving out and accepting awards right in front of her. When Il Divo got up to sing, Lynnea was reminded again of how amazing their voices really were. She thought she saw Urs wink down at her, but she chose to not believe it.

It really was a magical night and Lynnea was extremely excited as she fell asleep after the night of awards and after parties was over.

The next morning Lynnea sat in bed with Geneva in her lap. The little girl was growing so fast. She laughed as Lynnea tickled her belly. Lynnea caressed the thin blonde curls that covered her head. When there was a knock at the door, Lynnea found Cydalia and Sony outside. They rushed into the room. Sony went directly to the TV.

“We’re famous, Lynnea!” she exclaimed.

Cyd was also excited but she stopped to steal Geneva away from her mother.

“What do you mean?” Lynnea asked joining Sony in front of the TV.

Sony flipped the channel to the Style Network. “Best Dressed of the Red Carpet” from the previous night was already airing.

“You made the Best Dressed list!!”

“What!?!?! I did?” Lynnea couldn’t believe it; she saw herself on the television screen and women were sitting and critiquing her outfit.

“Now this is the mysterious woman who just had Urs Buhler’s child; her name is Lynnea Frederick and what a beauty she is! This dress is my personal favorite of the entire night!” One woman said.

“I completely agree, she has fabulous personal style and such a poise to match,” a man agreed.

“Wow!” Lynnea was stunned.

“I know!” Sony was overjoyed. “They liked my hair! And they loved Cyd’s look too! We were all mentioned!”

Lynnea stopped and thought that she wouldn’t mind being married to a famous man if this kind of fun could be had.

Chapter 18

Soon Urs and Lynnea were back in Switzerland setting the date and details of their wedding in May and Lynnea was helped Cyd set up her wedding in early February. Lynnea loved helping Cyd pick colors, flowers and music. And in the first week of February the whole gang went to Madrid where Carlos had found the perfect small chapel for their ceremony.

Ruthie took Geneva for the day and Lynnea helped Cydalia into her exquisite beaded wedding dress complete with ten foot train. Lynnea pulled a scarlet sash around her waist and tucked a curl back into her towering hair. Cyd looked beautiful. She gave her a wish of good luck and a kiss on the cheek then hurried to a spot in the back of the chapel where she could conduct the photographer and sound man.

Lynnea saw David, Sebastien, Urs, and finally Carlos walk to the front of the church and take their places. The smile on Carlos’s said more than he could ever express through words and he hadn’t even seen his bride yet. The music started the women started down the aisle in their blood red dresses. Lynnea admired Cyd’s bold choice with the use of the daring red in her wedding. Carlos’s smile continued to grow as each women came in. Then the crowd rose as Cydalia came around the corner on the arm of her father.

She utterly glowed as she floated down the aisle towards the man of her dreams. She reached him and he took her hands in his. They faced the priest and the ceremony began. They exchanged rings and personally written vows, but Lynnea couldn’t see anything past the amazing love that they shared. She couldn’t stop the flow of tears from her eyes as the couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife.

Cyd and Carlos flew off that night to an exotic island in the Caribbean for a month of love and Lynnea went back to Switzerland with a terrible fear for her own coming wedding.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Lynnea and Ruthie sat in the kitchen of the Urs’ home addressing invitations six weeks before the wedding and suddenly Lynnea threw done her pen and admitted her feelings.

“Ruthie, I can’t do it! I can’t marry Urs!”

“What?” Ruthie asked, completely confused.

“I can’t marry him. I don’t love him like a wife should love her husband. I don’t look at him like Cydalia looks at Carlos. How can we stand in front of God and all our family and friends and claim that we love each other like that?”

Lynnea broke down and sobbed.

Ruthie grasped her hands and pulled her to herself. “Oh dearie, come here.”

“I wish I loved him like that Ruthie, I really do. I wish that we were a normal family and that Geneva could grow up knowing that she was planned and wanted.”

Ruthie pulled away and looked at Lynnea in the eyes, “Now don’t you ever say that! That baby girl is the most wanted child in the entire world. You love that girl and I know that Urs loves her more than the sun and the moon. She may not have been in your plan, but she was always in God’s plan and he put her exactly where she was supposed to go.”

Lynnea looked down, ashamed. “I know, I didn’t mean that I don’t want her. I just wish that she had the family that she deserves. I don’t want Urs and I to lie.”

Ruthie shook her head and laughed softly, “Do you really think that it’s a lie for Urs?”

Lynnea didn’t answer.

“He loves you, Lynnea! Haven’t you seen the way he stares at you? He didn’t ask you to marry him just for Geneva; he wants you here with all that he has.”

“Urs loves me?”

“Yes,” Ruthie answered with complete surety. “And you keep saying that you don’t love him, but you don’t know how much you need him, Lynnea. So you pick up that pen and invite everyone you know to come and witness this wedding because it’s not a mistake.”

Lynnea did as she was told and addressed the rest of the invitations and took them directly to the post office.

Sebastien flew into the Bern airport two weeks early. Urs had invited him to be a groomsman at the wedding but he came in secret and checked into his hotel one late night.

“Welcome Mr. Izambard, your room is prepared for you.”

“Thank you, now may I ask if the other room I reserved has been taken yet?”

“I’m sorry sir, but no one appears to have shown up for that room yet.”

“Well thank you.”

Sebastien grabbed his bag and started to the elevator, but heard his named yelled across the lobby. He turned and there she was flying to him. He dropped his bag and took her in his arms. She placed her lips to his.

“Well hello,” she smiled at her.

“Hi,” she sighed. “I’ve missed you so much!”

“I can tell.”

She kissed him again; then they walked hand in hand up to their separate rooms.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Two weeks later

The night before the wedding had arrived. Lynnea and Urs hosted the rehearsal dinner at Urs’ home. David and Sony, Carlos and Cydalia, and Sebastien and Brittni along with Simon were sitting at the dining table. That was almost all the guests that would be coming back in the morning; it would be a very small wedding.
Urs stood and cleared his throat to get everyone’s attention. He started to give a toast but was interrupted by Geneva’s screams from the side of the room. Lynnea stood and slipped over to take her from Ruthie’s lap. Lynnea returned to Urs’ side with the little girl.

Urs smiled down at them and continued. “First, I’d like to thank you all for coming and celebrating with us tonight. It means a lot to me and I’m sure you Lynnea as well that we have such wonderful friends who have supported us through this entire crazy thing!” The group all laughed a bit.

“Second, I’d like to say that I have no regrets about any of this. I’m so blessed to have been given the most beautiful girl in the world and I love her more than I ever thought possible.”

Urs looked at Lynnea as he spoke those words and while everyone else in the room probably thought that he was talking about Geneva, Lynnea knew he was talking directly to her.

Urs held up his glass and the room followed suite, drinking to Urs and Lynnea.

After the dinner the guests filtered out and Geneva was tucked in and Ruthie went up to bed. Lynnea was sitting in the gazebo under the starlight thinking about the reality that she was getting married then very next morning. She thought she was alone so she stood and started humming to herself. Soon she was dancing slightly as she hummed. She twirled gracefully in circles.

Suddenly Urs was there dancing with her. Lynnea stopped dancing.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you,” Urs apologized. “Please keep dancing.”

“No, no, I was just about to go back inside. I need to get to bed, big day tomorrow.”

“Of course, of course.”

They stood in silence for a moment.

“Lynnea you’re going to be my wife tomorrow; this awkwardness has to stop. Please be yourself.”

“I-“

Urs stepped forward and took her hands. “Lynnea I have to admit something to you.”

“Yes?”

“I’m so glad that I’m marrying you.”

“Well I’m glad that I’m marrying you too,” Lynnea smiled. “I think that this will be a very happy place arrangement for all three of us.”

“No, Lynnea that’s not what I mean. I asked you to marry me for Geneva yes, but more selfishly because I didn’t want to lose you. I love you Lynnea and I want you to stay with me for the rest of our lives.”

“You do love me like Ruthie said you did?”

“Yes.”

Lynnea breathed heavily before answering.

“Oh, Urs,” she faltered and he spoke again.

“Lynnea, may I kiss you?”

Lynnea stepped back and shook her head.

“No.” she answered.

“I understand,” he said turning away.

“Urs, please believe me that I wish I returned those feelings, but I just can’t lie to you when you’re so wonderful and truthful.”

“Lynnea I don’t want to keep you trapped her with someone you don’t care about.”

“You’re wrong. I do care about you and I’m staying here. I’m marrying you tomorrow and our daughter’s going to have the best parents in the world.”

Lynnea stepped forward and placed a very light kiss on Urs’ cheek. “Good night,” she whispered.
